PEMBIASAAN BEKERJA ILMIAH PADA PEMBELAJARAN SAINS FISIKA UNTUK SISWA SMP

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kebiasaan bekerja ilmiah pada siswa SMPN 24 Kota Semarang melalui kegiatanlaboratorium berbasis inkuiri. Desain penelitian ini dibagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu pra penelitian dan pelaksanaan penelitian.Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Instrumen penelitian berupa Lembar Kerja (LK) dan lembar observasi.Tumbuhnya kebiasaan bekerja ilmiah diukur berda-sarkan persentase ketercapaian tiap indikator kerja ilmiah. Persentaseketercapaian kerja ilmiah hasil analisis siklus I yaitu: LKI mencapai 73%, LK II 65%, Laporan 55% dan hasil observasi 70%.Setelah melalui siklus II, LK I mencapai 92%, LK II 76%, laporan 84% dan hasil observasi 71%. Hasil analisis kerja ilmiah siswasecara individual belum menunjukkan adanya ketercapaian kerja ilmiah siswa yang relatif tetap dengan ketercapaian 75%.Pengetahuan awal siswa tentang kerja ilmiah yang diukur dengan pre-test secara keseluruhan mencapai 58% setelah menempuhsiklus I dan siklus II siswa diberikan post-test dan hasilnya naik 12% menjadi 70%, hasil tersebut dianalisis menggunakan gaindengan kriteria medium-gain (0.3%). Hasil angket refleksi menunjukkan 46% siswa merespon pelaksanaan percobaan sangatmenyenangkan dan 51% menyenangkan. The aim of this study is to foster a scientific working habit on students of SMPN 24 Semarang, through an inquiry based laboratoryactivity. The research design consisted of the stages: pre-research and conducting research. The conducting research was done intwo cycles. The research instruments are working and observation sheets. The growth of scientific working habit is measuredbased on compliances percentage of scientific working habit indicators. The analysed results after the first cycle: WS1 yielded 73%,WS2 65%, report 55%, and observation 70%. After the second cycle: WS1 ends up with 92%, WS2 76%, report 84%, andobservation 71%.The analysed result of individual scientific working habit in general have not show a relatively constantimprovement yet with a compliance > 75%. Student understands on scientific working habit measured in pre test, the overall valueis 58%, after treatment increase 12 points on the post test, and ends up with 70%. Based on the reflection questionnaire, 46%students respond very enjoy with the research, and 51% fell enjoy.Keywords: inquiry; scientific working habit; science learning
