PROBLEMATIKA DUNIA PENDIDIKAN ISLAM ABAD 21 DAN TANTANGAN PONDOK PESANTREN DI JAMBI

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis masalah yang dihadapi oleh pondok-pondok pesantren yang ada di Kota Seberang Jambi dan peran aktif mereka berpartisipasi dalam pelaksanaan tujuan pendidikan nasional Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Jumlah partisipan dalam penelitian ini meliputi kepala pesantren, guru, dan pengelola yang bekerja di dua Pesantren di Kota Seberang, Jambi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan teknik diskusi kelompok. Hasil observasi disajikan secara deskriptif. Analisis data hasil wawancara dimulai dengan mentranskrip hasil, melakukan pengecekan ulang, menghilangkan bagian yang tidak diperlukan, dan mengodifikasi hasil untuk dijadikan tema-tema. Data hasil diskusi kelompok disajikan untuk memperkuat data hasil wawancara, dikodifikasi, dan dianalisis. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa problematika yaitu kurangnya tenaga pengajar yang berkualitas, metode pengajaran yang masih bersifat tradisional dan belum banyak variasi, kebijakan kurikulum yang berubah-ubah, fasilitas pendidikan yang belum memadai, dan keuangan pesantren yang belum dapat mencukupi.Kata kunci: problematika, dunia pendidikan Islam, pondok pesantren ISLAMIC EDUCATIONAL ISSUESAND ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL CHALLENGES IN 21ST CENTURY AbstractThis study aimed at analyzing the problems faced by islamic boarding schools in Seberang, Jambi and the active role they participate in the implementation of national education goals of Indonesia. This study was a case study with a qualitative approach. The number of participants in this study were the heads of schools, teachers, and managers who work in two boarding schools in Seberang, Jambi. The data were collected by observation, interview and group discussion techniques. The observation results were presented descriptively. Analysis of interview data began with transcribing the results, re-checking, eliminating the parts that are not needed, and codify the results to be used as themes. The data from group discussions served to reinforce the interview data, codified, and analyzed. The examination of data validity was using triangulation. The results show that there are some problems namely the lack of qualified teaching staff, traditional teaching methods, inconsistant curriculum policy, inadequate educational facilities, and unsufficient schools finance.Keywords: problems, Islamic education, Islamic boarding school
