PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INVESTIGATION (GI) PADA MATERI POKOK IKATAN KIMIA UNTUK MELATIHKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA KELAS X SMA WIDYA DARMA SURABAYA (IMPLEMENTATION COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODELS TYPE GROUP INVESTIGATION (GI) IN CHEMICAL BONDING MATERIAL TO PRACTICE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS STUDENT CLASS X SMA WIDYA DARMA SURABAYA)

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan di SMA Widya Darma ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan berfikir kritis siswa kelas X pada materi ikatan kimia melalui model kooperatif tipe GI. Penelitian ini  menggunakan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design yang termasuk jenis penelitian pre-experimental design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar angket respon siswa dan  lembar tes keterampilan berfikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebanyak 81% siswa memiliki keterampilan interpretasi termasuk kategori sangat baik; 85% siswa memiliki keterampilan analisis termasuk kategori sangat baik; 81% siswa memiliki keterampilan evaluasi termasuk kategori sangat baik; 54% siswa memiliki keterampilan inferensi termasuk kategori sangat baik; dan 88% siswa memiliki keterampilan eksplanasi termasuk kategori sangat baik. Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI ini merupakan pembelajaran yang dapat melatihkan keterampilan berfikir kritis siswa hal ini dibuktikan nilai N-Gain score untuk keterampilan interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, inferensi dan eksplanasi masing-masing sebesar 0,7; 0,9; 0,9;0,9; dan 0,8 termasuk kategori tinggi. Kata kunci: model kooperatif tipe GI, keterampilan berfikir kritis, ikatan kimia. Research which is conducted at SMA Widya Darma aims to determine the critical thinking skills students class X in chemical bonding material through cooperative models type GI. This research design was one group pretest-posttest design that includes the type of pre-experimental research design. Instruments of research include sheet of feasibility learning, sheet of student responses and sheet of critical thinking skills test. The results showed that 81% of students have the interpretation skills in excellent category; 85% of students have analytical skills in excellent category; 81% of students have evaluation skills in excellent category; 54% of students have inference skills in excellent category; and 88% of students have explanatory skills in excellent category. Cooperative learning type GI is learning that can practice critical thinking skills of student, it is proved the value of N-Gain score for the skills of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference and explanation were 0.7; 0.9; 0.9; 0.9; and 0.8 and include high category.
