Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep Matematika yang terdapat dalam proses pembuatan Damar Kurung dan untuk mengetahui pendapat stake holder terkait hasil eksplorasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif berjenis transformatif. Penelitian transformatif ini menggunakan multi-paradigm yaitu postmodernism, criticalism, dan interpretivism. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan writing critical auto|ethnography inquiry, writing as inquiry, postmodern interview, kajian dokumen dan kepustakaan. Hasilnya terdapat konsep Matematika dalam proses pembuatan Damar Kurung seperti bilangan cacah, operasi bilangan, pecahan, perbandingan, satuan pengukuran, titik, garis, sudut, simetri lipat, pencerminan, bangun datar, bangun ruang, penyajian data dan mean yang sesuai dengan kompetensi pembelajaran Matematika di sekolah dasar. Menurut stake holder terkait, hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan alternatif pembelajaran Matematika di sekolah dasar berbasis kearifan lokal dengan konteks Damar Kurung. Kata Kunci: Damar Kurung, konsep Matematika, budaya lokal Abstract This study aims to explore the concepts of Mathematics emerging in the process of making Damar Kurung and to find out the stakeholders? opinion about results of the exploration. This research is transformative qualitative research which uses multi-paradigms called postmodernism, criticalism, and interpretivism. The data collecting techniques are writing critical auto|ethnographic inquiry, writing as inquiry, postmodern interviews, document and literature reviews. The finding were mathematical concepts in the process of making Damar Kurung such as whole numbers, operations of numbers, fractions, comparisons, units of measurement, points, lines, angles, folding symmetry, reflection, two- and three-dimensional figures, presentation of data and mean which are relevant with mathematics learning competencies in elementary school. According to the relevant stakeholders, the results of this study could be used as an alternative to learn Mathematic in elementary school based on the local wisdom with Damar Kurung contexts.
