Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui massa dan waktu kontak optimum adsorpsi karbongranular terhadap logam berat Pb(II) dengan pesaing ion Na+. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakanadalah Adsorpsi. Pada tahap pertama dilakukan optimalisasi daya serap karbon aktif granular terhadaplarutan Pb(NO3)2 dengan variasi massa adsorben (0,5; 1; 1,5; 2; dan 2,5 gram). Pada tahap keduadilakukan optimalisasi waktu kontak terhadap larutan Pb(NO3)2 dengan variasi waktu kontak (10, 30, 60dan 90 menit). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan massa karbon aktif granular optimum pada 2 gram dengan%Pb Teradsorpsi 86,059% sedangkan untuk penentuan waktu kontak optimum pada menit ke 60 dengan%Pb Teradsorpsi 93,191%.Kata kunci: adsorpsi, karbon aktif granular, logam PbAbstract. This study aims to determine the mass and time contact of the granular activated carbonadsorption of heavy metal Pb(II) with Na+ ions competitors. In this study the method used adsorption. Thefirst step is the optimalitation of granular activated carbon adsorption of the solution of Pb(NO3)2 with thevariation of the mass of adsorbent (0,5; 1; 1,5; 2; and 2.5 gram). The second step is the optimalitation ofgranular activated carbon adsorption of the solution of Pb(NO3)2 with the variation of the contact time (10,30, 60 and 90 minutes).
