SINTESIS DAN KARAKTERISASI HIDROKSIAPATIT DARI CANGKANG KEPITING (SCYLLA SERRATA) DENGAN METODE PENGENDAPAN BASAH SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF HYDROXYAPATITE OF CRABS SHELL (SCYLLA SERRATA) BY WET APPLICATION METHOD

Abstract

Abstrak. Hidroksiapatit dapat disintesis dengan sumber kalsium berasal dari cangkang kepiting dengan metode penambahasan fosfat secara single drop. Cangkang kepiting yang dikalsinasi pada suhu 1000 oC selama 5 jam dari hasil analisis menggunakan XRD menghasilkan fasa utama berupa Ca(OH)­2. Larutan H3PO4 ditambahkan kedalam larutan (CaOH)2 secara single drop. Dilakukan aging selama 24 jam dan digunakan suhu sintering 900oC selama 2 jam. Hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD menghasilkan fasa utama berupa hidroksiapatit dengan kristanilitas sebesar 83.98%. Analisis dengan FTIR menunjukan gugus utama hiroksiapatit hasil sintesis berupa PO43-. Analisis dengan SAA menunjukan luas permukaan hidroksiapatit sebesar 0,50 m2/g, ukuran pori sebesar 123,20 nm, dan volume pori sebesar 31,02 mm3/g. Analisis dengan SEM menunjukan morfologi hidrosiapatit berupa bongkahan dengan pori yang tersebar merata dan hasil uji tekan menunjukan kekauatan tekan Hidroksiapatit sebesar 56,92 Mpa. Kata Kunci: hidroksiapatit, cangkang kepiting,  single drop.   Abstract. Hydroxyapatite can be synthesized with a calcium source derived from a crab shell with a single drop phosphate method. The calcined crab shell at 1000 oC for 5 hours from the analysis using XRD resulted in the main phase of Ca (OH)2. H3PO4 solution is added to solution (CaOH) 2 in single drop. Conducted aging for 24 hours and used sintering temperature 900 oC for 2 hours. The synthesized results were characterized using XRD resulting in a hydroxyapatite main phase with crystallinity of 83.98%. The analysis with FTIR shows the main hieroxyapatite group of synthesized form of PO43-. Analysis with SAA showed a hydroxyapatite surface area of ??0.50 m2 / g, a pore size of 123.20 nm, and a pore volume of 31.02 mm3/ g. The analysis with SEM shows the hydroxyapatite morphology in the form of chunks with uniformly distributed pores and the result of the compressive test shows a hydroxyapatite compressive strength of 56.92 MPa.
