Abstract

The research problem was children low development in knowing the form of geometry. This study aimed to determined the influence of manipulative media on children geometry development aged 4-5 years in kindergarten Amarta Tani HKTI Bandar Lampung. The research method was used pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest designed. Samples technique was total sampling with 30 student sample. Data were collected by observation and documentation. Data was analyzed by using simple linear regression. The results showed that there were an influences of manipuatif media toward children geometry development.Masalah penelitian ini adalah rendahnya perkembangan mengenal bentuk geometri pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aktivitas bermain media manipulatif terhadap perkembangan mengenal bentuk geometri pada anak usia 4-5 tahun di TK Amarta Tani HKTI Bandar Lampung. Metode penelitian bersifat Pre-Eksperimental menggunakan jenis One Grup Pretest-Posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan Regresi Linier Sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh antara aktivitas bermain media manipulatif terhadap perkembangan mengenal bentuk geometri pada anak usia 4-5 tahun.Kata Kunci: anak usia dini, media manipulatif, geometri permulaan
