Vernacular constructions can be regarded as folk architecture, the architecture is the resultof a vernacular culture and particular communities (civilization). Architecture (house)vernacular has a hereditary trait to several generations. Its construction is based on theknowledge of traditional techniques and experiences; typically built their own (possiblyassisted by family, relatives or artisan in his tribe).Yali tribe in Yalimo, Papua, is one of the 250 tribes in Papua, which has customs andtraditional culture are rooted in their lifestyle everyday, but not much to dig up informationon the relationship between their culture with the architecture of the house they inhabit.The problem studied is how the relationship between culture Yali with process and productarchitecture of the house that they built. The aim of this study is to dig up information onthe relationship with the community culture house architecture Yali Yali tribe physical(layout, layout, construction, structure, and ornaments) that deserve to be called vernaculararchitecture.
