<![CDATA[Teachers play a very important role in improving the quality of education. Therefore, professional teachers are required to always improve their competence, one of them is social competence. Learning will not run well and effectively if the teacher is not able to develop social competence. The purpose of this study is to describe and find out the relationship of teacher social competence in inculcating student character education. This research was carried out at SD Negeri 014 Pulau Rengas. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive. Methods of data collection using questionnaires, interviews, field notes. The results showed that the social competence of teachers obtained an average score of 90% in the excellent category and the assessment of students' character education planting had an average value of 85% in the very good category.
