<![CDATA[The background of this study is the low teacher teaching skills in social studies subjects. To overcome this problemresearchers conduct research through the application of academic supervision. This research is a school action researchconducted at SD Negeri 038 Pulau Kijang. The subjects of this study were 10 teachers. The results of the study show thatteacher teaching skills have improved after the implementation of academic supervision. This can be seen in the pre-cycleteacher teaching skills included in the sufficient category with an average score of 56.02. In the first cycle the teacherteaching skills were included in the good category with an average score of 71.02. And in cycle II teacher teaching skills areincluded in the good category with an average score of 76.34. Based on this acquisition it can be concluded that teacherteaching skills in social studies subjects have increased after academic supervision has been applied.]]>
