NILAI EKONOMI PENGGUNAAN POLLARD DALAM RANSUM KOMERSIAL BABI PERANAKAN LANDRACE FASE PERTUMBUHAN

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the economical value of pollard inclusion in the ration of landrace crossbred pigs. Twelve - 10 weeks old young female pigs (Landrace Crossbred; initial body weight 34–49,5 kg; CV 13,34%) were used in this study following a Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with 4 treatments and 3 blocks as replication. The feed treatments offered were: R0 = 100% commercial feed CP 552; R1= 95% CP 552 + 5% pollard; R2 = 90% CP 552 + 10% pollard; and R3 = 85% CP 552 + 15% pollard. The results of this study indicated that inclusion of 5–15% pollard to substitute the CP 552 had significantly increased (P < 0,01) the economic value of income over feed cost (IOFC) and income. Similarly, inclusion of 5–15% pollard to substitute the CP 552 had also significantly increased (P < 0,05) feed cost efficiency economy and operational cost of landrace crossbred pigs. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai ekonomi penggunaan pollard dalam ransum komersial babi Peranakan Landrace fase pertumbuhan. Dua belas ekor babi betina peranakan landrace berumur 10 minggu dengan bobot badan awal antara 34–49,5 kg (koefisien variasi 13,34%), sehingga digunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK). Perlakuan yang diberikan terdiri dari 4 perlakuan ransum dan 3 kelompok sebagai ulangan. Keempat ransum perlakuan tersebut masing-masing: R0 = 100% ransum komersial CP 552, R1 = 95% CP 552 + 5% pollard, R2 = 90% CP 552 + 10% pollard, dan R3 = 85% CP 552 + 15% pollard. Hasil dari penelitian ini terbukti bahwa penggunaan pollard dengan level 5-15% sebagai pengganti ransum komersial CP 552 menghasilkan peningkatan nilai ekonomi yang sangat nyata (P < 0,01) pada income over feed cost (IOFC) dan pendapatan, dan nyata (P < 0,05) pada efisiensi ekonomi penggunaan pakan, efisiensi ekonomi operasional pemeliharaan babi betina peranakan landrace fase pertumbuhan.
