Abstract

Standards competency as a form of consistency of service to each guest will aim to maximize guest satisfaction levels with the service. Moreover, in the new era called EAC where the standard of competence becomes more widespread and will become the benchmark for each member of the executive. Such as the Hotel Grasia Semarang, as the wind of renewal, EAC is seen as a positive matter. This research was conducted using qualitative method. Informants were 10 key informant was Executive Housekeeper of Hotel Grasia Semarang. Data collection technique used in-depth interviews and observation. Based on the results of data collection can be concluded that: (1) In general, understanding of EAC at Housekeeping department Hotel Grasia Semarang is not optimal, (2) general, implementation of standards competence in the Housekeeping department Hotel Grasia Semarang is optimal, (3) In general, the evaluation of the the improvement of the standard competence in accordance MEA held at Hotel Grasia Semarang Housekeeping department is optimal, (4) In general, self-development efforts Housekeeping department employees Grasia Semarang is optimal. Keywords : Implementation, Evaluation, Standards Competency, Housekeeping Department, EAC ABSTRAK Standar kompetensi sebagai wujud kekonsistensian akan pelayanan kepada setiap tamu bertujuan untuk memaksimalkan tingkat kepuasan tamu terhadap pelayanan. Terlebih lagi dalam era baru yang bernama MEA dimana standar kompetensi menjadi lebih luas dan akan menjadi tolak ukur untuk masing-masing anggota pelaksana. Seperti misalnya pada Hotel Grasia Semarang, sebagai angin pembaharuan, MEA dipandang sebagai suatu hal yang positif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif. Informan sebanyak 10 orang dengan informan kunci adalah Executive Housekeeper Hotel Grasia Semarang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengumpulan data dapat disimpulkan bahwa : (1) Secara umum, pemahaman MEA pada departemen Housekeeping Hotel Grasia Semarang belum optimal, (2) Secara umum pelaksanaan standar kompetensi di departemen Housekeeping Hotel Grasia Semarang sudah optimal, (3) Secara umum, evaluasi dalam penyempurnaan standar kompetensi sesuai MEA yang dilaksanakan di departemen Housekeeping Hotel Grasia Semarang sudah optimal, (4) Secara umum, upaya pengembangan diri karyawan departemen Housekeeping Hotel Grasia Semarang sudah optimal.
