The research present, a test on oxidation prevention for steel material AISI 316L and 316Ti on a high temperature using thermographimetry test. To observe micro structure after oxydation and the effect on oxyde layer characteristic, some tests are done, which are Â a test on metalography using optical microscope, a test on X-Ray Difractometer (XRD), also micro harshness measurement. The result of this research hopefully becomes data input for evaluating and analysing material design on high temperature. The conclusion is AISI 316L and 316Ti stainless steel material can be used for mechanic component material operated below 700Â°C with corrosion occured under permission standard.
