<![CDATA[Nutritional status is defined as a description of a person's physical condition as a reflection of the balance of energy that enters and is released by the body. The role of cadres is very important in bridging the community, especially the posyandu target groups. Because cadres are more responsive and have above-average health knowledge from the posyandu target group. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the role of health cadres and the nutritional status of children under five. The design of this research was analytic survey with cross sectional approach. Purposive sampling technique. Respondents were 42 people. The results of the study using the Chi-Square test showed p value = 0,000 (α <0.05). It was concluded that there was a significant relationship between the role of health cadres and the nutritional status of children under five in Ilotidea Village, Tilango Health Center, Gorontalo District. This research is expected to increase the role of cadres in carrying out their functions, especially improving the nutritional status of children under five.Status gizi diartikan sebagai gambaran kondisi fisik seseorang sebagai refleksi dari keseimbangan energy yang masuk dan yang dikeluarkan oleh tubuh. Peran kader sangat penting dalam menjembatani masyarakat khususnya kelompok sasaran posyandu. Karena kader lebih tanggap dan memiliki pengetahuan kesehatan diatas rata–rata dari kelompok sasaran posyandu. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan peran kader kesehatan dengan status gizi balita. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Responden sebanyak 42 orang. Hasil penelitian menggunakan uji Chi-Square didapatkan p value =0.000 (????<0.05). Disimpulkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara peran kader kesehatan dengan status gizi balita di Desa Ilotidea Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tilango Kabupaten Gorontalo Jadi Peran kader sangat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat terutama dalam status gizi balita.
