Abstract

Abstrak Dalam pandemik COVID-19 ini, komunikasi merupakan sebuah langkah penting guna menyampaikan informasi yang dibutuhkan seseorang ataupun masyarakat. Pemberitaan COVID-19 di tayangkan di media sosial. Kasus terkonfirmasi di Kota Semarang sebesar 30.027 kasus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan informasi COVID-19 pada media sosial terhadap pengetauan, sikap dan perilaku masyarakat di Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi obeservasional analitik dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah warga semarang yang memiliki media sosial dengan rentang usia 15-65 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kualitas pesan di media sosial dengan pengetahuan responden (p=0,204). Tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kualitas pesan di media sosial dengan sikap responden (P=0,155). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kualitas pesan di media sosial dengan perilaku responden. Pemberian informasi yang valid, sepesifik, dan terpercaya pada media sosial dapat meningkatkan perilaku usaha pecegahan terhadap COVID-19. Abstract In this COVID-19 pandemic, communication is an important step to convey the information that a person or society needs. News of COVID-19 is broadcast in social media. Confirmed cases in the city of Semarang are 30,027 cases. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of COVID-19 information on social media to knowledge, attitudes and behavior of people in Semarang City. This study uses an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design. The research sample is Semarang residents who have social media with an age range of 15-65 years. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between the quality of messages on social media and respondents' knowledge (p = 0.204). There is no significant relationship between the quality of messages on social media with the attitude of the respondents (p=0.155). There is a significant relationship between the quality of messages on social media and the behavior of respondents. Providing valid, specific, and reliable information on social media can improve the behavior of prevention efforts against COVID-19. Keyword: Social media, COVID-19, Behavior
