Abstract

Abstract: Classroom Action Research at SMALB Anim Ha Merauke using practical methods and media tangrams was carried out to improve the learning achievement of deaf students. In its application, there are four stages in two cycles, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The material being taught is a combination of triangles and quadrilaterals. The subjects in this study were students of class X-B SMALB Merauke, who opened with 1 student. The results of this study indicate that (1) in the first cycle, a learning test was obtained with a score of 79, which had not reached the KKM, while the observation of teacher activities was in the high category. (2) In the second cycle, students' learning outcomes were obtained with a score of 83, which reached the learning mastery value. The average score of the activity observation results showed a high category, while the results of the teacher's activity observations had reached a very high category. Based on this, it can be said that the application of tangram media can improve the learning achievement of deaf students.
