PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INQUIRY BERBASIS METODE PICTORIAL RIDDLE TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERKOMUNIKASI ILMIAH SISWA SMP

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry berbasis metode pictorial riddle terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berkomunikasi ilmiah siswa SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu dengan desain one group pretest posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik dokumentasi, tes dan teknik observasi. Dari hasil uji gain didapatkan pemahaman konsep siswa meningkat dengan faktor gain sebesar 0,56 (sedang) dan kemampuan berkomunikasi ilmiah siswa meningkat dengan faktor gain sebesar 0,56 (sedang). Dari uji korelasi product moment didapatkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry berbasis metode pictorial riddle berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep dengan kriteria sedang dan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berkomunikasi ilmiah siswa dengan kriteria kuat. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bawa model pembelajan inquiry berbasis metode pictorial riddle berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berkomunikasi ilmiah siswa SMP. The purpose of this research is to know the influence implementation of inquiry learning model with pictorial riddle method on increase the understanding concepts and scientific communication skill of junior high school students. The method used is quasi experimental with one group pretest and posttest design. Data collection method used in this research are documentation, test and observation. From the obtained gain test result shown that understanding concepts of students increased by a gain factor of 0,56 (medium) and scientific communication skill of students increased by a factor gain of 0,56 (medium). From the obtained product moment corelation test result shown that the implementation of inquiry learning model with pictorial riddle method influence on increasing of understanding concepts of students with medium criteria and influence on increasing of scientific communication skill of students with strong criteria. Based on the result above, it can be concluded that the implementation of inquiry learning model with pictorial riddle method gives positive influence to increase the understanding concepts and scientific communication skill of junior high school students.
