PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY

Abstract

The aim of this study was to improve the quality of learning by analyzing and finding out accurately: (1) math learning plan design is focusing on matrix materials by using discovery learning model, (2) process of math learning is using discovery learning model, (3) assessment instruments at the end of the learning activity.This study was conducted in vocational High school Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung(grade10 matrix material). The results of this study are: (1) the learning design was made by initially determining student needs who had not understood the material prerequisites of operations of real numbers, followed by constructing learning objectives that measure the ability to solve the problems, the matrix operation materials, and discovery strategies, (2) the learning process using discovery learning model increase the activity of learners in the learning, (3) the assessment instrument using a written test about the description with a validity value of 0.88, a reliability value of 0.99, average difficulty level of items, and a well acceptable discrimination power of items.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran dengan menganalisis dan menemukan dengan tepat: (1) desain perencanaan pembelajaran  matematika materi matriks dengan model pembelajaran discovery, (2) proses pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery, (3) instrumen assessmen  di akhir kegiatan pembelajaran.Tempat penelitian di SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung kelas X materi matriks.Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) pembuatan desain pembelajaran diawali dengan kebutuhan belajar peserta didik yang belum memahami materi prasyarat operasi bilangan real, dilanjutkan menyusun tujuan pembelajaran yaitu mengukur kemampuan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan, materi operasi matriks dan strategi discovery, (2) proses pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran discovery meningkatkan aktivitas peserta didik dalam pembelajaran, (3) instrumen assessmen menggunakan tes tertulis soal uraiandengan validitas 0,88, reliabilitas 0,99, tingkat kesukaran soal sedang dan daya beda soal diterima baik.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, matematika, model pembelajaran discovery
