The development of student worksheets based on mathematics communication ability for junior high school students

Abstract

This study aims to develop student worksheets based on mathematical communication skills. The worksheet is a valid worksheet based on expert judgment and practical based on the responses of potential users. This type of research is R&D (Research and Development) using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were students of class VII in one of the junior high schools in Banguntapan, Bantul, D.I. Yogyakarta which is divided into two trials, namely a small class trial consisting of 5 students and a large class trial consisting of 31 students. Data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaire data assessed by material and media experts, and student response questionnaires. The analysis technique is the analysis of validity and practicality. The results of the assessment of material experts and media experts obtained an overall average of 4.29 with a very good category, so that the worksheets based on mathematical communication skills developed were declared valid. Meanwhile, from the test results, the students' responses to the worksheets were stated to be practical with an average of 3.1 in the good category.
