PENGARUH MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA SMA PADA MATERI PROTISTA

Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning (PBL) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X SMA N 1 Rembang. Penelitian quasi experimental ini menggunakan desain pretes postes nonequivalent control group. Sampel yang digunakan adalah X MIA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil uji-t post-test diperoleh thitung sebesar 10,12 t tabel = 1,67, sehingga Ho ditolak, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Hasil uji-t N-Gain yang menggunakan taraf ketidakpastian 5% dan dk= 59 diperoleh harga t tabel = 1,67 sedangkan harga t hitung = 3,55. Harga t hitung > t tabel , sehingga Ho ditolak, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis kelas eksperimen lebih besar daripada kelas kontrol. Penerapan model PBL berpengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis Siswa SMA pada materi protista.   Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This research aimed to determine the effect of problem based learning on student’s critical thinking skills from class X SMA N 1 Rembang. The research method was Quasi experimental with Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The samples were taken by technique cluster random sampling and obtained X MIA 5 as class experiment and X MIA 6 as class control. The analysis of post-test and n-gain t-test results the critical thinking skills of class experiment were better than class control. The result of pot-test t-test obtained t-calculated = 10.12 and t-table = 1.67, concluded that critical thinking skills of class experiment is greater than class control. The result of n-gain t-test obtained t-table = 1.67, whereas t-calculated = 3.55. The value of t-calculated > t-table, and can be concluded as the enhancement of critical thinking skills of class experiment was greater than class control. The implementation of PBL gave positive effect on senior high school student’s critical thinking skills.
