Abstract

n the lecture of “problems of learning in elementary school” is one of the mandatory subjects for PGSD undergraduate students. This course expects students to (1) show their own performance, qualified and measurable to examine the implications of development or the implications of science, technology or art that elicits learning problems in elementary schools (SD/MI) which oriented on Active Creative Effective Fun ICT-based learning (PAKEM BATIK). (2) Master the rules and scientific ethics agree with the method of science to determine the problems of the learning system in SD/MI which oriented on PAKEM BATIK. This research purpose to describe styles and learning result formation of PGSD students. The method used descriptive qualitative. The result, there are 6 styles and learning result formation of PGSD student based on the gradation of learning skill with meaning related to observing, asking, trying, reasoning, giving, and creating.Keywords: problems, learning in elementary school, performance, qualified, and measurable

Abstract

The counseling and guidance program management as an integral part of education services in school requires the executors to continue in order to improve and develop the service quality. The counseling and guidance have a role to help the learners to be independent, to grow, and to be able to solve their own problems. The implementation of counseling and guidance always undergoes of perfecting. It happens because the problems faced by students always change and get dynamics. The form of activities to do include the socialization of the program to new students, the delivering of materials and services both individual and group, handling students with problems, whether relating to academic problems, personal aspects or violations. While the supervision process includes (a) recording (administration/documentation), (b) evaluation (measurement and assessment of results and work processes and organizational performance), and (c) taking improvement and development step.Keywords: Program Management, Planning, Organization, Implementation, and Controlling

Abstract

influence, the influence of school environment (including the characteristics of educators), the transitional situation at school, and self-appraisal skills. Lecturers play important roles for the college students in the process of teaching and learning. To increase the quality of the teaching-learning process in colleges, lecturers are required to enhance their professionalism. The research was aimed to assess the correlation between self-efficacy in college students and college student perception on lecturer professionalism. The research was conducted by college students, batch 2016/2017, Faculty of Psychology, Diponegoro University. There were 175 students distributed in four classes. All classes were selected as the research subjects. Data were obtained using two scales namely EDA (Efikasi Diri Akademik/Academic Self-efficacy) Scale and PTPD (Persepsi Terhadap Profesionalisme Dosen/Perception on Lecturer Professionalism) Scale and were then analyzed using simple regression statistics by means of SPSS Software. The result of the research shows the correlation between self-efficacy in college students and college student perception on lecturer professionalism with the value of r = 0.271 with p = 0.000 (p <.01). The research also indicates that lecturer professionalism contributes 7.3% to self-efficacy in college students. It leads to the conclusion that the dominating factor which influences self-efficacy in college students is not lecturer professionalism. Following factors like self-appraisal, peer influence, and family influence might have greater influence, yet further research is needed.Keywords: academic self-efficacy, lecturer professionalism, college students.

Abstract

This paper aimed to describe how educators explore their career to achieve the goals which have been set beforehand. It also attempted to provide a clear image of different career strategies which have been implemented by the educators at schools. This study used qualitative approach by employing the multi-case study design. Data was analyzed using the constant comparative method. The result indicated some differences were found at the stage of career exploration. Furthermore, at the stage of determination of career goals, the educators had been determined to commit to their organizational or professional growth.Keywords: career development, educators, career exploration, career goals, career strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the performance of entrepreneurship teachers through theimplementation factory teaching model at Vocational High School, SMKN 1 Blitar. It usedaction research approach through two cycles. Results of the two cycles indicates that there isan increase in test scores achieve by students. The finding confirms that the factory teachingwas able to support and improve learning process and performance of the entrepreneurshipteachers.

Abstract

Empowerment activities are considered the most appropriate choice to prepare the educational personnel in an effort to answer the challenges of the times. This research used qualitative research. Data collection used participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis starts from reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Data validity is done by the extension of attendance, triangulation, peer discussion and clarification with the informant. The results of research, 1) leadership of the principal in the empowerment of educational personnel using situational approach, this is evidenced by the principal always guiding, fostering, and assist his subordinates in the development of himself; 2) The headmaster in motivating the empowerment of his/her education personnel has the right trick to give motivation to the education personnel in performing various duties and functions. 3) Principal Strategy as an effort of empowerment of education personnel, principals provide opportunities for education personnel to improve their profession through upgrading, training, seminars and workshops, continue the study, requirement plan of education personnel, provide motivation of educational staff, pay attention to the welfare of educational staff, implement cooperation with educational staff and companies or other institutions in the implementation of school programs, fostering discipline of educational personnel.Keywords: principal leadership, empowering educational staff

Abstract

Current education programs are directed at the implementation and strengthening of character education in schools. Character education is considered the right solution to solve the problems of the Indonesian nation. The purpose of this study was to determine the planning process for strengthening character education based on integrity values in schools, the implementation of the lost and found box program in schools, and the impact of implementing the lost and found box program in schools. This study used a qualitative descriptive research design with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and documentation studies. This research was conducted at Elementary School Laboratory Universitas Negeri Malang, Blitar City, with the principal as the key informant and teacher, education staff and school committee as additional informants. The results of this study shows that planning activities in the integrity value-based character education strengthening program have been divided into learning and non-learning aspects. Program planning is carried out through work meetings involving school principals, teachers, education personnel, parents, school committees, stakeholders, education experts, with the principal as the highest decision maker. The impact of implementing the "Lost and Found Box" program in schools is (1) increased honesty behavior of students, (2) students understand the concept of ownership, (3) students feel responsible for personal property and other people, and (4) school students are felt to be safer.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the validity and reliability of the Least Preferred Coworker (LPC) Scale in Indonesia. LPC is a self-report instrument that measures the level of relationship between coworkers. Validation was carried out with a sample of 244 respondents spread throughout Indonesia. The results showed that the LPC has a reliability index with Cronbach's Alpha is 0.754 and the validity by factor analysis shows KMO and Bartlett's Test 0.818 with a significance of 0.000 and an anti-image correlation value > 0.5. Formed 1 factor that can explain 46.875% of the variability. factor loading ( factor loading ) of each item between 0.186 - 0.808. The results of this study indicate that LPC can be used as a valid and reliable instrument for measuring the level of relationship between coworkers.

Abstract

Organizational climate has a rich, but largely unattainable, role in organizational development and increasing work motivation. Researchers looked at problems arising from different cultures and climates affecting management and motivation levels among teacher performance. This study examines the influence of climate and organizational culture on the motivation level of teachers who work in schools with the help of various previous research results compiled into the results of a literature review. In particular, organizational climate factors understand the environment, teamwork, management efficiency, participation, assessment and recognition, competence and commitment. These factors have been found to influence motivation and are considered to be multidimensional constructs. The results showed that most teachers carrying out their duties and functions have high work motivation if they are familiar with the culture and organizational climate deeply and for a long time.
