Abstract

Every parent wants his child to grow and develop into a confident, accomplished, intelligent, and happy. But not all hope is able to run as desired. There are children who can grow into a child as desirable, some are not and appear as a problem child. In the perspective of psychological problem of children arises because the psychological needs that are not met and the effects of negative self-concept. The concept of self-importance in sustaining the growth process of children into a positive person, since the concept of self-giving terms of reference to the situation affecting our arrangement and relationship with others. Self-concept is formed by three main components, namely the interplay of Ideal Self, Self Image, and Self-Esteem. By understanding the function of each of these components we will easily do the formation of a positive self-concept of children. For the sake of a positive development for the child, it is important that children have a positive circle of influence of the environment.

Abstract

Character education for early childhood is highly recommended it. Early childhood is a golden age for children, that is 0-8 age. Tadzkirah model is a learning character model is derived from the theory of Islamic education. Tadzkirah abbreviation is exemplary, guidance, motivation, honesty, continuity, remind, repetition, organization, heart. Tadzkirah models are applied in teaching English character for early childhood, which is packaged in a game. English game character, such as, singing, storytelling, and games in early childhood provides a positive contribution in the development of childhood character, namely courtesy, responsibility, diligence, respect, sincerity.

Abstract

School readiness is a physical and psychological maturity at the time the child will enter elementary school. Not only academic readiness, but also the readiness of physical, emotional and social development of children contribute to the next development phase. School readiness in children can be seen through the test NST (Nijmeegse Schoolbekwaamheids Test), which is a test used to determine the extent to which children have school readiness.

Abstract

Social studies learning should be emphasized on skills to participate in the society. Social studies has the value of practical learning, which should foster creative individuals, democratic and full responsibility, and simultaneously has the burden of cultural development as well as a good life, harmonious and dynamic. Social studies research-based learning activities, sticking to the line of thought of research, which started its activities by seeking a variety of problems, formulate problems, data collection, data analysis and draw conclusions is the answer to the problem formulation. Social studies research-based learning is expected to equip the ability of social knowledge, the ability to identify, analyze, organize alternative social problem-solving, the ability to communicate with other community members as well as various other accompaniment capabilities.

Abstract

The curriculum is a vehicle for learning dynamic that needs to be developed and assessed continually ongoing in accordance with the existing developed community. The teacher’s role in the implementasi 2013, namely: a) the teacher haddiscussions in the process of preparation of the RPP; b) teachers write lesson plans through appropriate measure; c) teachers carry out a detailed study; d) the teacher as a facilitator; e) teachers provide character education; f) teachers guide students in learning in accordance with a scientific approach; g) teacher choose and use methods, media, and a variety of learning resources; h) teacher conduct authentic assesment; i) the teacher chooses and using valuation technique vary.

Abstract

The implementation of character education curriculum in Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) applied in the planning and implementation of character education are integrated in the learning and school culture that is applied by all citizens of the school. Character education begins with educators as one of the success factors of value investment figure character is an educator who can be a role model. In addition, as the executor of character education curriculum, educators also play an important role in the preparation of learning programs characterized by integrating the values of characters in each learning activity. Teachers are also required to plan learning professional character, because the planning is exactly the first step of the preparation of educators foster the values of character the young generation of the nation.

Abstract

The professionalism of Teachers’ performance need to be improved continuosly especially in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, which was also implemented on learning in primary school. Scientific approach is a learning process that is stated in implementing the 2013 curriculum and highly recommended to be applied in all learning aspects. In order that, Lesson Study (LS) which has some phases such as 1) planning (Plan), 2) implementation (Do) and, 3) reflection (See), can be used to improve the quality of teacher performance that impact on the quality of students in learning processes and outcomes. In practice, through the implementation of Lesson study can improve the theachers’ abilities in four competencies, they are pedagogical, personality, professional and social ability.

Abstract

The research purpose to see influence method about achievement in mathematics consideration of self-regulated learning. The research method used in this an experimental method with design used is treatment by level 2x2. Hypotheses were tested using two way of variance ANOVA. The Research concluded that: (1) achievement in mathematics of study used cooperative learning method is higher than conventional teaching used lecturing method; (2) be found effect interaction between learning method and self-regulated learning about achievement in mathematics; (3) achievement in mathematics have to high self-regulated learning and study used cooperative learning method higher than conventional teaching used lecturing method; and (4) achievement in mathematics have to low self-regulated learning and study used cooperative learning method lower than conventional teaching used lecturing method. The teachers are hoped to use method which is related to material and self-regulated learning.

Abstract

Values covers everything assumed meaningful for someone’s life in which its considerations are based on the quality of true-false, good-bad, or beautiful-unbeautiful and its orientation is anthropocentric or theocentric. The scope of values taught in formal education is indeed large; therefore the process of realizing the values can run integrally in the educational process. The educational attempts in term of intra-curricular, extracurricular or school’s cultural atmosphere is a place where the values can be integrally implemented in the educational process. The value education is very good to be implanted since the early ages as the prevention of value conflict due to differences in identity, gender, ethnicity, race, and culture. Therefore, value education through multicultural learning should be intensified and as the main subject is elementary school students. With this they are expected to be ready to live in harmony peace and harmony.

Abstract

Lack of science learning achievement at MIN 1 Metro possible because learning methods used have not put forward the activity of students in the learning process. Inquiry learning is one of the alternative efforts to improve student achievement in science subjects at MIN 1 Metro. Research done by quasi-experimental approach with two classes of objects that the experimental class and control class. The results showed that the implementation of inquiry learning have a significant influence on the average value of learning achievement in science class VI MIN 1 Metro, as indicated by the average value of student learning outcomes in inquiry learning is better than learning approaches expository.
