Abstract

ABSTRACTAlva Garry Rorong 080318010. Type and Insect Populations in Plant seeds Jabon Red Anthocephalus macrophyllus. Under the guidance of PINARIA, BAN, as chairman, DEEN, MF and Chain, CS as a member.The experiment was conducted at the Forestry Greenhouse Science Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sam Ratulangi, then continued in the laboratory of Entomology and Plant Pests UNSRAT Faculty of Agriculture. This study was carried out for 4 months ie June to September 2012 This study aims to determine the type and insect populations found in plant seeds Jabon red.Total seed used for this study were 80 seedlings. Planting in polybags done manually which makes the planting hole as deep as 7-10 cm by hand, and then the seeds are planted in the hole until the roots are embedded. This study uses a red seed Jabon 3 months old in the nursery area of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sam Ratulangi. One month after the first was in the nursery area, remove the seeds and place it in an open area. Seeds are4placed one by one on a regular basis with a distance of 20 x 30 cm. Insects were collected in a bottle found 70% alcohol for identification. Sampling was conducted in the morning (06:00 to 08:00 hours) and afternoon (Jam 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) using insect nets mainly on the type of insect that is active and catching fly directly use an aspirator to the non-flying insects. Insects were collected in bottles containing 70% alcohol to be identified in the laboratory. Observations were made on all samples of plants and sampling was performed five times with intervals of once a week.Insects were found to be separated according to its kind, and then identified. Samples of insects were identified to family level using a library Anonymous, 2011b; Myers., Et al, 2014; Lovett G, 2014.The results showed that insects found in red Jabon plant nursery consists of 4 orders, namely: (1) the Order Hymenoptera (Family Cynipidae, Sphecidae, Formicidae); (2) Order Coleptera (Family Scarabaidae); (3) Order Odonata (Libellulidae Family), and (4) Order Homoptera (Family Aphididae) and Family Pseudococcidae. Average of the highest insect population in a row of 173 Family Aphididae tail, Family Pseudococcidae 88.8 tail, tail 43 Family Formicidae, Family Scarabaeidae 4.4 tails, Family Sphecidae 1 tail, tail 0.6 Family Cynipidae and Family Libellulidae 0, 4 tails.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to know the profile, spreading, and the level of visitor’s satisfaction in tourism area of Bukit Doa of Mahawu Tomohon along the year of 2012 and 2013. The visitors spread is analysed based on monthy visit data during 2012-2013 for two years. The level of visitor’s satisfaction and development advice is got by interviewing and questioner filling.This research was done in natural tourism area of Bukit Doa of Mahawu in Tomohon, North Sulawesi province. The material used in this research is the questioner’s paper.The visitor’s profile is analysed based on the home, gender, age, education level, job, kind of vehicle, and the way to visit. The visitor’s perception about tourism fascination was got from the interview result and questioner filling. Based on the research done, the visitors of Tourism object of Bukit Doa of Mahawu are satisfyied enough and even come of them are very satisfyied. The amount of the visitors in the year of 2012 and 2013 were 90.327. The most visitors coming was on march 2013 that was 11.217 visitors while the least was on February 2013 that was only 4066 visitors.

Abstract

ABSTRACKRice is the main commodity for the Indonesian people, because rice is an important food crop in which half of Indonesia's population depend on rice, even half of the world's population makes rice as the staple food. This study aims to determine the population of S. exempta pests in rice paddy fields in the village of Two Molompar Northern District of East Tombatu Southeast Minahasa regency. The research was conducted at the location of paddy rice cultivation In October-December 2013 This study used a survey method with sampling deliberately by choosing plant pests. Materials and tools used in this research is cropping Rice, meter, Aqua Glass, Peg, paper labels, plastic rope, Scissors, Box collection, Microscope, Petridis, Calculators, digital camera for documentation and stationery. The observation of the larval population of S. exempta in rice paddy fields in the village molompar two north, found that populations of this pest on plant age 60 HST is 3.3 tails. Then the next observation at the age of 67 plants as much as 2.1 HST observations of the tails and the third at the age of 75 plants of S. exempta HST population is 2 larvae.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of this study is to determine the income and the efficiency of Ornamental Flower Merchants in the Village of Kakaskasen, Tomohon City. This research is conducted in Kakaskasen Village, Tomohon City for 2 (two) months in November to December 2012. The data used is primary data obtained through direct observation and interviews with Ornamental Flower mercahants based on a questionnaire in the form of questionnaires, and secondary data obtained from the relevant agencies Agriculture Department, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Tomohon and Kakaskasen Village Office. The data were analyzed descriptively and presented in tabular form. The results showed that the income of Ornamental Flower Merchants in the Village of Kakaskasen Tomohon City in one production process is Rp 6,694,673.61 /merchant and Rp 18,093,712.46/hectare. The efficiency of the Ornamental Flower Businesses from the R : C Analysis show value greater than one that is 4.29. This indicates that the Ornamental Flower Businesses in Kakaskasen Village Tomohon City is profitable, so it deserves to remain manageable even more developed.Key Word : the income of ornamental flower merchants, the R : C Analysis

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study aims to determine the pest Cnaphalocrosis medinalis on rice crops in the vegetative phase Ranoyapo districts, South Minahasa Regency. The study uses a survey method in 4 locations / villages in the district Ranoyapo: Ranoyapo Village, West PoopoVillage, North Poopo Village, and MopoloVillage. Each location/village rice fields specified 3 (replicates) as the observation and sampling. Sampling was conducted on each diagonal fields. In each sub-plot clumps of rice as determined 5 sampling sites. Implementation of sampling vegetative phase in rice plants once a week for 6 weeks. The results showed that C. medinalis Ranoyapo has spread in the district with the highest attack found in Ranoyapo village location reached 18.66 %, after reaching West Poopo 8.07%, North Poopo reached 4.29% and Mopolo reached 4.07 %. C. medinalis highest percentage of attacks found in plants aged 6 weeks after planting (mst) which reached 20.66 % , then 5 mst old plants reached 13.55 % , 4 mst old plants reached 10.88 % , and the plant was 3 mst reached 7.55% , while the old plants 1 and 2 mst not encountered attacks. The highest population of C. medinalis found in location for Ranoyapo village reaching an average of 12.7 tail , then the village of West Poopo 4.3 tails , North Poopo Village 3.5 tail , and the tail 3.2 Mopolo village.Key words : Cnaphalocrosis medinalis, Rice field

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to know the type and density of the population of insects in paddy rice field in the village of vegetative phase Talawaan Subdistrict of North Minahasa Regency Talawaan. This study used a survey method and direct observation in field. Paddy rice fields used are varieties of musi. Paddy rice acreage is divided into five plot observations that spread diagonally with a size of 3 x 5 meters. The arrest of insect pests is done using the insect nets swung as much as 5 times the double swing at each plot. Insects obtained is then identified by using insect identification key. Things that were observed in this study: Morphology of insects, and insect population count was found. Results of the study showed that there are 8 types of insect pests found i.e. depunctalis, Cnaphalocrosis medinalisNymphula, Scirpophaga (Tryporyza) Leptocorisa oratorius, inotata, Scotinophora coartata, Nephotettix spp., Nilaparvata lugens and Valanga sp. Where the average highest populations of insect pests found in field is Nephotettix spp. i.e. 11,87 tail., L. oratorius 9,33 tail; N. depunctalis and S. innotata 7 tail, 67, N. lugens 4.4 tail, tail 3.27 Valanga spp, C. medinalis 2.93 tail, and on average the lowest population in the meet, the situation is S. coartata which is 2.47 tail.Keywords : Population, insect pests, rice field

Abstract

Under the guidance of Benu Olfie L.S, (Chair), Gene H.M Kapantow, (Member 1) and Oktavianus Porajouw, (Member 2).This study was conducted to determine the performance of agricultural extension field in the village of Kakas Pahaleten Subdistrict. It is expected that the results of this study may give an idea to obtain information as input to the government on the performance of Minahasa District agricultural extension so that its presence can be really helpful in improving the welfare of farmers.In the implementation of this study, respondents were taken as 1 extension and 7 farmers taken at random sampling from the three groups of farmers. This is done in order to determine the respondents obtained information from sources related to the purpose of this study.There are two factors that affect the performance of agricultural extension are internal factors that include age agricultural extension, education level, and years of agricultural extension while external factors include the availability of the necessary infrastructure, systems and shelter appreciation agricultural extension. Performance and success of agricultural extension is measured by 9 indicators: agricultural extension programs according to the needs of farmers, agricultural extension work plan in respective work areas - each, territory map data for location-specific technology development with region commodity, agricultural technology4dissemination evenly and according to the needs of farmers, empowerment and self-reliance of farmers and farmer groups, business partnerships between farmers and entrepreneurs are mutually beneficial, farmers' access to financial institutions of information and marketing of agricultural inputs, increase the productivity of agri-commodities on each seed - each work area, increase revenue and welfare of farmers in each region.The results of research on the performance of agricultural extension in the village of the District Kakas Pahaleten can be categorized either, as seen from the 9 indicators into the performance benchmarks extension plus the assessment of farmers to extension itself.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of this study is to analyze the levels of liquidity Current Ratio of Credit Cooperative “Kamangtawaya”, Sendangan Village Remboken Sub District Minahasa Regency, based on financial report from 2008 to 2013. Research was conducted at Cooperative “Kamangtawaya”, Sendangan Village Remboken Sub District Minahasa Regency lasted for 4 months from January 2014 to April 2014. Data was collected by survey methods. Data collected was secondary data obtained from the data and the books of financial statements as well as interviewed with cooperative leader and treasurer. Data used from were data 2008 to 2013.The research result showed that Credit Cooperative “Kamangtawaya”, Sendangan Village Remboken Sub District was good enough in managing their short-term liabilities, current ratio obtained by the cooperative is still in the normal phase that was is above 100%. So that the savings and Credit Cooperative Kamangtawaya still able to meet its short term obligations.

Abstract

ABSTRACKTomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill) is no stranger to the community as a tomato vegetable crops play an important role in the nutrition community. This study aims to determine the cause of Fusarium wilt disease and the incidence of disease. This study was conducted in farmers' fields in the village of Tumaratas, Raringis, and Kopiwangker from February to April 2014 This study used a survey method or field observation purposive sampling. Materials and tools used in this study is the tomato crop land, plants Fusarium wilt disease, PDA, CLA media, antibiotics, distilled water, 95% alcohol, petridish, parafilm, test tube, needles ose, spirit lamp, analytical scales, tweezers, cutter, masking tape, autoclave, laminar air flow, rack culture, cover glass, glass objects, microscope, digital cameras, and stationery. The results showed the fungus that causes Fusarium wilt disease infecting tomato plants in the District of West Langowan is Fusarium sp. The incidence of Fusarium wilt disease on tomato plants in the District of West Langowan is Tumaratas village average of 6.16%, the village Raringis average of 8.66%, and the average village Kopiwangker 9.61%. The highest incidence of the disease an average of 13.66% while the lowest incidence of tomato plants with an average of 4.33%.Keywords : Tomato plant, Fusarium sp.

Abstract

ABSTRACTLeydia Esther Rauw. Comparative Advantage of Rice Farming with Moved Planting Techniques And Direct Seed Planting Techniques in North Dumoga Bolaang Mongondow Regency (under guidance of Charles R. Ngangi, as Chairman, Eyverson Ruauw and Ribka M. Kumaat as Members).The objective of this research is to determine the difference advantage with moved planting technique and direct seed planting technique in North Dumoga Bolaang Mongondow Regency.Methods of data collection was the survey method. The data collected consisted of primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data obtained from direct observation and interviews with the respondents based on a list of questions (koesioner), while the secondary data obtained from the relevant agencies and district offices in North Dumoga Farmer Water User Association. The population is all rice farmers consisting of 40 percent of the farmers who use the moved planting system and 60 percent of farmers using direct seed planting then randomly drawn sample (simple random sampling). For farmers with moved planting system was 15 responden and farmers with direct seed plants system was 15 responden.The results showed that there is a difference between the profit of moved planting technique and direct seed planting technique. Advantages of direct seed planting technique is greater than moved planting techniques although the cost of productivity and input factor of both planting techniques were not significantly different. Furthermore the largest cost used on rice paddy farming was labor costs.
