ABSTRAC This study aims to determine the distribution of the income of farmers in the village Ka- pataran The District of East Lembean using primary and secondary data, which for secondary data obtained from agencies associated with this research, while primary data was taken at ran- dom by using a list of questions (questionnaire ). Selected Villages Kapataran One who has a number of farmers 60 305 inhabitants of the population of farmers as an area of research, be- cause the village is a small village with a population compared to other villages in the district and village Lembean East is a source of revenue that is homogeneous and the District of East Lembean as one of the agricultural centers in Minahasa, North Sulawesi. The number of farmers who used a sample of 60 farmers or farm households. The degree of inequality of income distri- bution seen from the farm business income only by the Gini index ketimpangannya level being, while based on the World Bank krieria inequality is very lame. Judging from the total income derived from agricultural and non-agricultural businesses inequality of income distribution seen Gini index is also at a moderate level, but based on the World Bank is very lame Inequality nice views of the Gini index and the World Bank criteria with their off-farm businesses increased lev- el ketimpangannya. With the jobs that are open to the public so that more utilize income is so high that its income distribution is more increased when in tambahakan with non-agricultural businesses.   Keywords: farmers income

Abstract

ABSTRACT   In North Sulawesi, there are several major insect pests of rice plants, one of which is green leafhoppers which often cause damage to the rice crop. Aside from being a green planthopper pests also act as an insect vector that can transmit the disease Tungro. The study aims to determine the intensity of pest populations of green leafhoppers N. virescens on rice crops in West Tomohon sub district. The research was conducted in two villages namely Tara-tara and Woloan in the District of West Tomohon Tomohon. The research was conducted from December 2014 through April 2015. This study used a survey method in two villages, namely Tara-tara and Woloan West Tomohon sub district Tomohon. The results showed that the population of green leafhopper pest Nephoettix virescens on rice crops in the district of West Tomohon, Tomohon, is highest in sub Tara tara on observations II, as many as 8.5 tails and lowest in sub Woloan on observations IV, namely 2.3 tail. In general, the population of planthoppers in paddy rice crops in the district of West Tomohon, Tomohon highest average of Tara-tara Village, which is 5.8 tails Woloan Village only 4.9 tails. The intensity of the green leafhopper pest N. virescens on rice crops in the district of West Tomohon, Tomohon, is highest in sub Tara-tara on observations IV, amounting to 29.83 % and the lowest in the sub Woloan the first observation, namely 9.83 %. In general, the intensity of plant hopper pest on rice crops in the district of West Tomohon Tomohon highest average in Tara-tara Village, which is 24.89 % and Woloan Village only 14.89 %.  Keyword :  Freen Planthopper Nephotettix virescens, Paddy, Tomohon

Abstract

ABSTRACT Bone Bolango district of Gorontalo province is well developed in agriculture. There are three dams in this province and one of them is Lomaya dam. This dam has not yet used technology of geographic information system for evaluating the efficiency of water distribution in the irrigated area. Therefore the measurement of water discharge and the information of spatial irrigated areas are required. The inflow and outflow discharges were measured in each irrigated channel using a bottle buoy. The result of the research showed that the efficiencies of primary, secondary and tertiary channels were 82,25 %, 78,58 % and 77,99 % respectively. The total efficiency of water distribution of irrigated area in Lomaya was 50,41 %. Geographic information system in these irrigated area of Lomaya served the map of irrigated area. Keywords: Efficiency, Irrigation, Geographic Information System, Dam Lomaya

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The research on soil tailing was conducted to know its potency for corn (Zea may L.). It was arranged in descriptive survey descriptive methods and laboratory analysis for soil texture, permeability, total N, available-P and available-K, organic-C and soil pH.  Data analysis was done by matching the soil tailing characteristics and the criteria of land suitability for corn.  The result showed that the tailing was potencial for corn growth.  Keywords: Soil tailing, Soil potency

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Red Ginger is a spice-containing compounds - natural antioxidant compounds. This study aims to determine the antioxidant activity of ethanol extract red ginger in inhibiting the oxidation of peanut oil. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with the addition of the ethanol extract treatment red ginger. Each treatment with 4 levels of concentration: 0%, 0.05%, 0.1%, and 0.15% with repeat three times. The ethanol extract red ginger added to the peanut oil and incubated at 60°C for 72 hours. Laboratory analyzes performed every 24 hours. The results showed that the yield of ethanol extract red ginger produced in this study was 6.78%. The ethanol extract red ginger has antioxidant activity inhibiting oxidation of peanut oil, it can be seen from the figures peroxide controls (without extract) treatment with the addition of red ginger extract. The higher concentration of ethanol extract of the stronger activity inhibiting the oxidation of peanut oil.  Keywords: Antioxidant, ethanol extract, red ginger, peroxide values, Incubation

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Utilization of local food such as pumpkin in supporting the government's program for the diversification of food, and so the pumpkin is suspected suitable to be added in the process of making dodol to increase the added value of pumpkin and dodol. The purpose of this study is to determine good formula of dodol by utilizing pumpkin as an additive in the dodol processing. To determine the physicochemical properties and the panelist fondness of produced pumpkin dodol. Pumpkin dodol organoleptic test shows the treatment of formulation D (100% glutinous rice flour and 75% pumpkin porridge), is the most preferred dodol by the panelists. Dodol with the addition of pumpkin porridge contains 44.60% moisture content, 1.3% ash content, 3.25% protein, 7.72% fat, and 43.13% carbohydrate. For the results of the color analysis L* is 23.86, while the a* is 14.23 and b* is 33.15.  Keyword : Dodol, Glutinous rice flour, Pumpkin.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to Calculating the amount of ice needed to cool the water to 150C in a pre cooling and explain changes in visual quality and extent of the damage vegetable pak choi on cooling than without cooling for 5 days. With this research is expected pak choi farmers and traders can use simple cooling technology. In addition to the application of cooling technology is expected to extend the shelf life pak choi, which in turn will increase profits for farmers and traders pak choi. The results showed that the amount of ice needed to lower the water temperature from 250C becomes 150C is 4.83 kg of ice. In the cold storage for 5 days does not change the quality of pak choi, leaf color still looks fresh with a percentage of 100% quality. While pak choi without refrigeration on the last day of storage and the percentage of damage pak choi untreated cooling on the fifth day of storage at 100%.
