Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research aims to find out about the type of insect pests population in potato plants Solamun tuberosum L. in Modoinding, South Minahasa. The research was conducted on the potato plants in Modoinding, South Minahasa. The research was carried out by using the survey method on potato in Modoinding's villages, South Minahasa, such as Palelon Village, Makaaroyen Village, and Lineleyan Village. The sampling was carried out with a diagonal incision method that established of five sub-plot that is on the corner and the middle of the sampling sites. The sampling was done by using insect nets that swung above the potato crop for ten times the double swing. The netted insects are immediately put into the "killing bottle" then collected in 70% alcohol to be identified. Identifying the type of insect pests is done by using the facilities of the Entomology and Pest Plant Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, UNSRAT. The results of the research of the associated pests on potato was found about eight kinds of insect pests, such as Empoasca sp. 109.03, Drosophila sp. 37.03, Nesidiocoris sp. 34.11, Lirionyza sp. 10.72, Lygus sp. 4.47, Phthorimaea sp. 2.97, Antractomorpha sp. 1.61, and Epilachna sp. 0.69. The average of the highest populations of insect pests are found in Makaaroyen Village with 37.99, whereas in Palelon Village with 22.79, and the lowest is in rural Lineleyan Village with 14,49.Keywords: Population, Pest, Potato

Abstract

ABSTRACT Liny Jecklien Novita Rasu. Competitiveness of Commodity Rambutan in South Minahasa District (under guidance of Grace AJ Rumagit as chairman, Charles R. Ngangi and Yolanda P. Rori as members).  The objective to analyze the competitiveness of the commodity in the South Minahasa District. This research was conducted over two months from February to March 2015 in the Ongkaw Satu Village Sinonsayang Sub District, South Minahasa Regency. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data collection was done by using a list of questions prepared in the form of a questionnaire, while the secondary data was taken from relevant institutions in this study such as the Department of Agriculture, Statistics, and BP3K. Sampling was simple random sampling. Samples were taken for one week of 15 people. The method of analysis used is Descriptive Analysis and Policy Analysis Matrix. The results of the research showed that the commodity rambutan in South Minahasa Regency competitiveness based on comparative advantage and competitive advantage with private profits calculation of 22,813,749 and 70,959,417 for the calculation of social benefits. Of the two indicators for competitiveness Private Cost Ratios indicate that commodity rambutan increasingly competitive with PCR <1 and Domestic Resource Cost Ratio indicates that commodity rambutan has a comparative advantage with DRCR <1.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to study the incidence of disease in lowland rice tungro held in the District of West Tomohon, and lasted for 5 months from the month of November 2014 until March 2015. This study uses a survey or field observation purposive sampling with the object of research fields rice farmers in West Tomohon sub district, which is in the Village Taratara and Village Woloan. Each village was taken three plots groves and each plot was made sliced diagonally with five subplots with the size of each subplot that is 2 m x 2 m. At each subplot obtained 56 family of plants that was four weeks with a spacing of 15 cm x 20 cm x 40 cm (Legowo row 1: 3) of crop land, observations were made four times at intervals of one week. The results showed that characterizes the disease tungro rice paddy in the district of West Tomohon is infected plants tungro disease suffered stunted plant growth (dwarf), the color of the leaves turn yellow to yellow orange accompanied with brown spots on the leaves. Tungro disease incidence in rice crops in West Tomohon sub district amounted to 22:43%. Tungro disease vector Populations in West Tomohon sub district is 7.6 tail.Key words: Incidence, Disease Tungro, Rice

Abstract

ABSTRACTInfluence fertilization of NPK to growth of Jabon Putih seeds Anthocephalus cadamba (Roxb.) Miq.This research studied the effect of NPK (15 : 15 : 15) on seedlings growth of Anthocephalus cadamba. The research used Randomized Block Design (RBD) with five treatments and five replications. Treatment A as a control, treatment B 0,25 g NPK/plan, treatment C 0,50 g NPK/plant, treatment D 0,75 g NPK/plant and treatmen E 1 g NPK/plant, given every two weeks for two months. Plant media of this research was soil, sand and chicken manure with ratio7 : 2 : 1 based on volume. The measured variables were crop height, crop bar diameter and the number of leaf. The results showed that the applications of NPK fertilizer on Jabon putih seedling gave significantly different result to the crop height accretion at firstand second weeks and for the crop bar diameter at seventh week and eighth week, while the number of seedling leaf of Jabon Putih was not significantly different. The growth of crop was better in treatment C comparing to the other treatments.Keyword : Jabon Putih, NPK 15 : 15 : 15

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The study aims to determine the effect of the concentration of spores of the fungus Beauveria bassiana against Aphis sp insect mortality in the laboratory. implementation of the research carried out for three months from July to September 2014. Research using the method Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments, using B. bassiana spores concentration of 104, 105, 106 and control. Plants used was pepper plants. Each plant with different spore concentrations, in use ten tail pest Aphis sp. Observations on doing every day for one week, with a look at the mortality of each treatment. The results showed that the test insect mortality was highest at day 4 observation with treatment reaches 106 (80%) at follow treatment 105 (52.5%) and treatment of 104 (0%). Observation day 5 mortality in the test insect reaches 106 treatment (20%), then treatment of 105 (32.5%), and treatment of 104 (10%). The results showed that the test insect mortality was highest at day 4 observation with treatment reaches 106 (80%) at follow treatment 105 (52.5%) and treatment of 104 (0%). Abstract

ABSTACT The objective of this research in to observe the realization of chanelling KUR Agriculture at Bank BRI Tondano Branch Offices. The research was conducted with data collecting taken from Bank BRI Tondano Branch Offices. The data is processed qualitative research methods presented in the form of charts and tables.  The Research result indicate that the study of KUR Agricultural field at Bank BRI Tondano Branch Offices showed excellent improvement, but the socialization of KUR financing to farmers in rural areas is still lacking, so there are many farmers who are less familiar with the financing programmed government since 2007.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to study the response of growth and production paddy rice methods sri (system of rice intensification) toward granting the organic and inorganic fertilizer that implemented in the village of Tara-Tara II, subdistrict tomohon west for 5 months start from march to august 2013. This study uses a randomized block design group (RAK) and the faktor the meticulous is a kind of organic fertilizers combined with the treatment of inorganik fertilizers (NPK) consists above P0 = 100 % NPK, P1 = organic fertilizers market waste + 40% NPK, P2 = organic fertilizers plant calliandra + 40% NPK, P3 = organik fertilizers rice straw + 40% NPK, P4 = organic fertilizers mixture + 40% NPK.awarding Organic and inorganic fertilizer give influence the growth and production paddy rice methods SRI (System of Rice Intensification). treatment p3 is the best results high toward rice plants with a value of 96.7, but not significantly different with treatment P1, P2, and P4. the influence most well toward the number of produktive tillers and the persentage of grain pithy/ panicles by value 96,58%. Treatment p3 derive the best results in a variable number of grain / panicle with a value of 234.0, but not significantly different with treatment P1 and P2. treatment P4 is the best result toward weight 1000 grain of dry grain harvest with a value of 28.24 grams, although not significantly different with treatment P1, P2, and P3. on variables outcome dry grain harvest the / plot, the best result is the treatment P3 with a value of 8.0 kg, although not significantly different from P2 treatment.keywords: Paddy rice, SRI (System of Rice Intensification), organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The objective of this research is to assess and describe the activities of the rice farming from the beginning to the harvesting stage, analyzing the farmers income and determine the feasibility of rice farming in the Taratara Satu Village, Tomohon Municipality.  The research was conducted during three months from February to April 2015, located in the Taratara Satu Village, Tomohon Municipality. The village samples purposive sampling (intentionally) and a sample of farmers using simple random sampling method (simple random). The research result showed the condition of rice farming in the Village of Taratara Satu Tomohon City, are land processing using tractors and cropping pattern’s applied Legowo row pattern, with the use of seed varieties Cigeulis, fertilization still relies on inorganic fertilizers and to eradicate the pest using pesticides.  Therefore, the rice farming in the Taratara Satu Village Tomohon Municipality profitable and feasible.  Key words : Rice Farming, Benefit, Feasibility

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study aims to determine the type of potential on the egg parasitoid S. nubila Salibabu Island, Talaud Islands. The experiment was conducted at the coconut plantation owned by farmers on the Salibabu island, Talaud Islands for 4 months ie from October 2014 through January 2015. Research using survey method in 4 districts, namely: (1) District of Salibabu, (2) District of Kalongan, (3) District of Lirung, and (4) District of Moronge. Each district is determined three sampling sites. Research using survey method in 4 districts, namely: (1) District of Salibabu, (2) District of Kalongan, (3) District of Lirung, and (4) District of Moronge. Each district is determined three sampling sites.Sampling method diagonal slices so that at each sample location consists of 5 sub-location. Searches conducted around the egg sample rod with a diameter of 0.5 meters and divide the four sectors/regions observations in the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western. Sampling was carried out 6 times with intervals twice a month.The results showed that of the eggs samples were infected found only one type of parasitoids. Identification results showed that the parasitoid is Leefmansia bicolorObservations of the eggs percentage of parasitization byL. bicolor in Salibabu island turns found in sub-district of Lirung highest, reaching an average of 26.54%, then successively sub-district of Moronge 17.68%, sub-district of Kalongan 13.03% and sub-district Salibabu 4.20%.The average percentage of parasitisasi based on the direction of the wind turns the highest found in the Eastern sector/Region (32.35%), then the western sector (13.39%), South sector (10.25%) and North (5.45 %)Key words : Parasitization, Sexava nubila, Leefmansia bicolor, Salibabu-Talaud

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study aims to determine the type and predators of insect populations in lowlandrice ecosystems in the district Tombatu Southeast Minahasa regency. The experimentwas conducted on the rice in the village Tombatu, District Tombatu, SoutheastMinahasa Regency. The research carried out by the survey on rice crops in the districtTombatu Southeast Minahasa District, the Village Tombatu One, Tombatu Two, andThree Tombatu. Sampling was carried out with a diagonal slice method thatestablishes five sub-plot that is on the corner and the middle of the sampling sites.Sampling was performed using insect nets swung over rice plant as much as ten timesthe double swing. Insects are netted immediately put into "killing bottle" thencollected in 70% alcohol to be identified. Identify the type of insect predatorsconducted using the facilities of Entomology and Pest Plant Laboratory, Faculty ofAgriculture UNSRAT. The research found seven insect predators with an averagepopulation Menochilus sp. (5.18 tail) Paederus sp., (3.34 tail), Agriocnemis spp. (2,24tail), Conocepalus sp. (1.10 tail), Ophionea sp. (0.68 tail), Sphecidae (0.52 tails), andLibelulla sp. 0.27 tails). On average the highest predator insect populations found inthe village Tombatu Two (4.55 tail), then the Village Tombatu One (1.07 tail) and thevillage of Three 0.91 Tombatu tail). The higher the age of the plant the morepredatory insect populations.
