Abstract

Abstract: The use personal protective equipment on nurses and midwifes in Pelita Insani’s Hospital. The hospital is an institution and public services working in the field of health services with the use of equipment high technology, materials, and medicines are harmful to health for diagnostic measures, therefore, exposure of medical personnel at the hospital against hazardous materials and seedling diseases have a high risk to the health status of health personnel. The purpose of this research was  to gain an overview of the use of personal protective equipment on nurses and midwifes in Pelita Insani’s hospital, Martapura. The study was an observational cross-sectional study design, namely direct observation on the application of the use of personal protective equipment in Pelita Insani’s hospital, Martapura then analyzed based on the theories and regulations. This study did not use sampling or total population of as many as 48 nurses and midwifes in Pelita Insani’ hospital, Martapura. The results showed the male sex more is not better in terms the use of personal protective equipment (66.67%), 56.52% of nurses and midwifes in the age range 20-27 years was not good in terms of the use of personal protective equipment . Level of education, length of service and length of employment showed 58.33% was not good in terms of the use of personal protective equipment. The nurses were not good in terms of the use of personal protective equipment (62.07%). Availability of personal protective equipment in Pelita Insani’s hospital, Martapura already available enough for all nurses and midwifes. The need for counseling are scheduled on a regular basis about the benefits of personal protective equipment to increase self-awareness of nurses and midwives and accompanied with strict supervision.Keywords: Personal Protective Equipment, nurses and midwifes, hospital

Abstract

Abstract: Residential density and housis physical quality in the Penda Asam Village of district South Barito 2014. A house that doesn’t meet the physical requirements can cause immune deficiencies so that the diseases so easily affected. This research aims to know the physical quality’s house and residential density in the Penda Asam’s village of South hamlet subdistrict South Barito regency 2014. This research design was cross sectional with  observation method, and measurement. The research population is 195 head of family with 51 houses sample. Data analysis was based on Kepmenkes RI No.829/Menkes/SK/VII/1999 about health housing requirements. The research result showed physical quality’s house: the kind of zinc roof as many as 35 houses 68,6% and 11,8% multiroof. The lighting eligible as 74,5%; ineligible as 25,5%, the temperature eligible as 7,8%; ineligible as 92,2%, the humidity eligible as 17,6%; ineligible as 82,4%, the residential density not solid’s category as 45%; solid’s category as 55%. The effort to overcome the problem: open the window in the morning, keep the ventilation system so that air circulation can be fluently, do reforestation around the house so that the environment condition becomes cool. Keywords:  Residential Density, House Physical (the kind of roof; lighting; temperature;   humidity)

Abstract

Abstract: The Use Of Chlorine Concentration Controller (Ca(ClO)2) In Improving The Effectiveness Of Cutlery Disinfection. About 80% of food-cause disease and food poisoning are caused by microbial contamination, one of which comes from the equipment used. Equipment potential as food contamination is not clean enough and not appropriate washing process, because it skips over disinfection stage. One of cutlery disinfection process is by giving active chlor (chlorine) at concentration 50 ppm. This study aimed to determine the ability of the use of chlorine concentration controller (Ca(ClO)2) in improving the effectiveness of cutlery disinfection. This study used experimental method, the data was obtained by trial the accurate chlorine concentration (Ca(ClO)2), plate samples immersed using chlorine solution and laboratory test of number bacteria and E.coli parameters. The results of chlorine (Ca(ClO)2) concentration controller were confirmed that in one press the apparatus could removable solution of 2 mL equivalent to 50 ppm if it used for 1 L of water. Based on the result of laboratory examination was known that the number of germs post-treatment was smaller than pre-treatment and negative E.coli on pre and post-treatment. The contact time determined the percentage decrease of germs after disinfection. The contact time at 2 minutes could reduce the number of germs of 99,08%. Keywords : Chlorine (Ca(ClO)2); Disinfection

Abstract

Abstract : Relationship of Emotional Intelligence and Motivation on Learning Outcomes of English in the Environmental Health Departmen of Health Polytechnic Banjarmasin. The background of this research are 1) As a supporting subject of competencies  English  needs to get serious attention given the current health workers must have good communication skills in public. 2) English is still regarded as a difficult subject 3) There are still students who attend English language classes not because of her interest,. The purpose of the study was 1) to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on learning outcomes, 2) to determine the effect of motivation on learning outcomes, 3) to determine the effect of emotional intelligence and motivation together on learning outcomes. The design study was a descriptive study with cross sectional approach. The results showed the value of p = 0.788> α = 0.05 then H0 was accepted; meaning that there was no significant positive relationship and emotional variables on learning outcomes. Similarly, for the variable of motivation on learning outcomes there was also a positive and significant relationship was indicated by a value of p = 0.929> α = 0.05 then H0 is accepted. Suggestion 1) that prior to learning both physically and mentally to be ready to accept what is presented by lecturer, 2) should be within the student must be no impetus to learn 3) teachers should understand what factors can affect the learning outcomes to be considered in the learning process. Keywords : emotional intelligence; motivation

Abstract

Abstract: The effect of variation concentration of solution powder kaffir lime leaves (Citrus hystrix. dc) against the parameter of figure germ at eating utensils. The recommended disinfection process such as the use of heat and chemicals in a society generally not done because it takes a long time and expensive cost, as well as the excessive use of chemicals, can cause environmental pollution. Therefore, the necessary natural ingredients as a substitute as kaffir lime leaves. Based on the research results Sulistiyani, et al (2004) showed a rinsing by using kaffir lime leaves can decrease the number of microbes on eating utensils. This study aims to determine the effect of variation concentration of solution powder kaffir lime leaves (Citrus hystrix. DC) against the parameter of figure germ at eating utensils. This type of research is experimental, pretest-posttest design with the control group. The samples used were 42 swab samples plate tools. Methods of data collection based on the check out results from the number of figure germ (TPC) in the laboratory. Analysis of data using statistical test Paired t-test and correlation test. The results showed that the average total number of figure germs before treatment ranged from 44-73 colonies/cm2, and the average total number of figure germs after disinfection treatment with a solution of powdered kaffir lime leaves ranging between 6-50 colonies/cm2. Based Paired t-test is known that there are differences the average number of figure germ before and after treatment, where the average total number of figure germs after treatment is lower than the average number of figure germs before treatment with the percentage decrease ranging between 23-89%. Statistical analysis of the correlation test showed there is a relationship between variations in concentration of powder kaffir lime leaves with the number of figure germ on the plate. Kaffir lime leaves contain chemical compounds polyphenols, flavonoids, essential oils, tannins and alkaloids that have a pharmacological effect as an antiseptic, so it can be used as a disinfectant to wash eating utensils. Abstract

Abstract: Level of Noise in the residential around muara teweh’s PLTD. Muara Teweh’s PLTD was one of the regional companied responsible for the provision of electricity serviced. The impact of the operation of the PLTD is the emergence of noise caused by the PLTD engine so that it appeared on public complainted, especially communication disordered, disordered of physiological and psychological disordered. This study aims to determine the noise level and subjective complainted felt in residential areas around Muara Teweh’s PLTD. This research was a descriptive observational describe the noise level in residential areas Muara Teweh’s PLTD. This study include cross-sectional design that aims to determine the noise until at residential areas around Muara Teweh’s PLTD and connect with public complainted in residential areas around Muara Teweh’s PLTD. The measurement resulted show noise levels in residential areas around Muara Teweh’s PLTD exceeded the NAV according KEPMEN / LH / 48/1996, which is 62.9 dBA in the North, 70.4 dBA in the Northeast, 69.3 dBA in the East , 69.4 dBA in the direction of the Southeast, 72.3 dBA in the south, 72.2 dBA in the direction of the Southwest, 78.2 in the West and 75.5 dBA in the northwest. Subjective complainted of the most widely felt in residential areas Muara Teweh’s PLTD form (45.9%), headache (56.8%), discomfort (91.9%), insomnia (83.8%) fast and emotions (40.5%). Efforts should be madeto controlnoise levelsand complaintsaregiving them the toolsnoise suppressioninengine room, thickenthe barrier, put upcurtainsat thewindows of the houseanddo notoftenopen thedoor. Abstract

Abstract: Knowledge, Attitude with Merchants Participation In The Management of Market Waste. In Banjarbaru city waste volume transported by TPS officers per day about 90 tons / day to TPA. One of the source of waste is the market which is a big problem because most of the market waste is wet garbage. So these waste piles become flies nest, rats, insects.Waste management is also influenced by the participation of merchants that were still lacking awareness to play an active role in the implementation. The purpose of this study is to determine the relations of knowledge, attitude with the participation of merchants in waste management in the Bauntung market Banjarbaru. The type of this research is analytical survey research with Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study is all merchants in the Bauntung market Banjarbaru. The sample is 85 respondents, obtained by proportional sampling method. The research variables consist of independent variables, namely knowledge and attitude while the dependent variable is the participation of merchants in waste management. Data analysis used is univariat and bivariate (using Chi Square with α = 0,05). The result of the research stated that there is no correlation between knowledge level and participation (p-value 0,747> 0,05). There is a correlation between attitudes with participation (p-value 0.001

Abstract

Abstract: The effect of concentration solution leaf clovers (syzigium aromaticum) to total flies green (chrysomya megacephala) which perch in fish salted during drying process. The Food is anything that comes from biological sources and water, whether treated or untreated, which is applied as a food or beverage for human consumption. Almost 65% of fishery products in Indonesia is still processed by salting which produces salted fish products. The leaf clovers (Syzigium aromaticum) is one kind of plant that can be used as a natural insecticide reppelent vegetable because it contains an active substance that is believed Euganol not liked by the flies. The purpose of this research conducted to determine differences in various concentration of leaf clovers (Syzigium aromaticum) on the number of green flies (Chrysomya megacephala) that settle during the drying process of salted fish. Type of research was experimental design with posttest only control group design. The results of this study include the average number of flies alighted during the drying process anchovies (8 hours), using a concentration of 1.56% leaf clovers as many as eight tails, 3.12% concentration of 7 animals. 6.25% concentration of 4 tails, a concentration of 12.5% as much as 3 tails, a concentration of 25% by 2 tails, and a concentration of 50% as much as 1 tail. With a P value (0.000) <α confidence level of 95%, or by comparing the value of F (1363.000)> F table (4.06), then there is the influence of leaf clovers various concentration on the number of flies that settle during the drying process anchovies. Abstract

Abstrak : Changing the Threat of tofu Wastewater Hazardous to be Economical Oppurtunities. Wastewater from Tahu industry known as “whey” are offensive and be able to cause negative impact to the environment. This problem is caused by the characteristic of whey which is hot, acid, and containing much organic material. Because of this characteristic, their dissolve oxygen is also zero ppm. Measurement of tahu and tempe wastewater in Semanan, Jakarta Barat showed that the whey contains 1.324 mg/l of BOD5, 6.698 mg/l of COD, 84,4 mg/l of NH4, 1,76 mg/l of nitrate and 0,17 mg/l of nitrite 1). The potential hazard of whey to aquatic life can be measured by counting the concentration of whey’s parameter which be able to cause the death of tilapia (LC50), that is from 3,80% up to 11,5% at 24 hours exposure; 3,67% up to 14,30% at 72 hours exposure; and 3,38% up to 12,10% at 72 hours exposure 2). On the other hand, Acetobacter can change sugar to be vinegar, with byproduct is film coat “nata” floating. Factors influencing Acetobacter growth are sources of Carbon and Nitrogen. Appropriate nutrient content will produce “rendemen nata” (de coco) maximum, that is up to 93,3% 3). This study aims to know does the whey which is added by Acetobacter xylinum can produce nata de soya?. The result gave information that if into the whey added the Acetobacter (made from ripe pineapple) as a starter, and urea in acidic condition, would produce rendemen nata approximately 30%–40%. 4). Keywords: wastewater of tahu industry; nata de soya of whey

Abstract

Abstract : Decreased Levels BOD, COD and TSS Waste Of Tahu Using Effective Microorganism-4 (EM4) In Aerobic. Wastewater was generated from industry tahu still contains levels of polluters such as BOD, COD and TSS are still high that can pollute waterways, Therefore it must be lowered levels before discharge into waterways. One way to do is wastewater treatment with EM4. This type of research was a quasi experiments aimed to determine the reduced levels of BOD, COD and TSS waste of tahu with wastewater treatment using the activator Effective Microorganism-4 (EM4) in aerobic with variation concentrations of 0%, 3%, 5%, 7% and retention time of 72 hours, 144 hours, 216 hours. The results showed the highest decrease levels wastewater concentration treatment of 7% EM4 with retention time of 216 hours with a BOD value 399,9 mg/L (88,8%), COD 1355,2 mg/L (85,3%) and TSS 287 mg/L (72,7%). Data analysis used two-way anova in the treatment group EM4 concentration and retention time obtained p value = 0.000 and α = 0.05 the results showed that there were significant differences due to variations in the concentration of EM4, due to the retention time and due to the effects of interactions EM4 concentration with retention time. The treatment results still exceeded the quality standard so before doing aerobic treatment, the first can do anaerobic treatment, so that wastewater treatment is getting better effluent.
