Abstract

PT. Toba Surimi Industries is a company that operated in sea product processing and export. One of exported product is processed and frozen pasteurized small crab. The small crab is important raw material for company as a determining factor of the production process and selling. The obstacle faced by PT. Toba  Surimi Industries in supply of raw material is  the scarce of crab as seasonal product and depend on the supplier. Therefore, PT. Toba Surimi Industries buys the crab in big volume that causes the number of inventory over than the required material. This condition causes the higher of investment in inventory. Based on this condition, the problem formulation are (1) What the raw material inventory planning and control  of the small crab by PT. Toba Surimi Industries, (2) How the company do the raw material inventory planning and control in order to avoid over or under inventory level.  The objective of this research are (1) to study the raw material inventory planning and control of small crab applied by company, (2) to design effective inventory planning and control  to avoid the over or under raw material inventory. Based on the estimation of export volume of small crab using Montecarlo simulation method, the company can use it as input to predict the future selling volume and to determine the required raw material.

Abstract

The parameter of the success of a project can be seen through the effectivenes of time and cost and the quality produced.  Several previous studies showed that the factor causing the achievement of the effectivenes of time and cost is the labor, materials and equipment, but, in general, a project has problem with the time and cost due to the incident of work delays and cost increases. The same thing also happens to the construction project that becomes the case discussed in this study. In this project, the lengthening of project completion time occured because of work delay that time effectivenes could be achieved that the cost effectiveness was not achieved either. Tne problem discussed in this study was what factors that influenced the effectiveness of time and cost in a construction project. The samples for this study were all of the project activities which belonged to the critical paths or condition. The data obtained were analyzed through Critical Path Method (CPM) and Path Analysis. The result of this study showed that (1) simultaneously, labor, materials, and equipment had positive and significant influence on the effectiveness of time, (2) partially, labor had positive and significant influence on the effectiveness of time, (3) partially, materials had positive and significant influence on the effectiveness of time, (4) partially, equipment did not have significant influence on the effectiveness of time,  (5) simultaneously, labor, materials, equipment and effectiveness of time had positive and significant influence on the effectiveness of cost, (6) partially, labor did not have significant influence on the effectiveness of cost, (7) partially, materials did not have significant influence on the effectiveness of cost, (8) partially, equipment did not have significant influence on the effectiveness of cost, (9) simultaneously, the effectiveness of time had positive and significant influence on the effectiveness of cost, (10) the direct influence of labor was bigger than the indirect influence of labor, (11) the indirect influence of materials was bigger than the direct influence of equipment, and (12) the indirect influence of materials was bigger than the direct influence of equipment.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the influence of talent management and knowledge management on the performance of employees of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara II Tanjung Morawa. The population in this study as many as 522 employees, and a sample of 84 people using stratification sample technique. Data collection technique used is through questionnaire (measurement) with the likert scale and processed statistically using multiple regression analysis and testing of t test hypothesis, f test, and determinant coefficient.From the data analysis of each variable obtained by multiple regression equation Y = 5,612 + 0,469 X1 + 0,598 X2 + e. Obtained R2 of 0.756, which means X1 and X2 explain the effect on the variable Y of 75.6% while the rest described other variables outside the study. The partial test of each independent variable has an effect on the dependent variable with the research significance is smaller than 0.1 so the hypothesis is accepted, and the result of simultaneous test calculation is 125.217 with ftable 2.37 which means Fcount> Ftable with level of significant (α) 0.000 <0.1, which means that the accepted hypothesis of talent management and knowledge management together have a significant effect on the performance of employees of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara II Tanjung Morawa.  ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh talent management dan knowledge management terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. Perkebunan Nusantara II Tanjung Morawa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 522 orang karyawan, dan sampel sebanyak 84 orang menggunakan teknik sampel stratifikasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui angket (kuesioner) yang pengukurannya dengan skala likert dan diolah secara statistik menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dan pengujian hipotesis uji t, uji f, dan koefisien determinan.Dari analisis data masing-masing variabel diperoleh persamaan regresi berganda Y = 5,612 + 0,469 X1 + 0,598 X2 + e. Diperoleh R2 sebesar 0,756, yang berarti X1 dan X2 menjelaskan pengaruh terhadap variabel Y sebesar 75,6% sedangkan sisanya dijelaskan variabel lain diluar penelitian. Uji parsial yang dihasilkan masing-masing variabel bebas berpengaruh terhadap variabel terikat dengan signifikansi penelitian lebih kecil dari 0,1 sehingga hipotesis diterima, serta hasil perhitungan uji simultan sebesar 125,217 dengan ftabel 2,37 yang artinya Fhitung > Ftabel dengan level of significant (α) 0,000 < 0,1, yang artinya hipotesis diterima yaitu talent management dan knowledge management secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. Perkebunan Nusantara II Tanjung Morawa.

Abstract

Information age of today requires companies to be able to follow the changes in various fields. To win the competition, companies must have the competitive advantage of one of them with strategic planning supported by information systems strategic planning. PT. Sandhy Putra Makmur (SPM) in the field of building management, noting the decline in profit margins, in 2008, Cushman & wakefield, conduct research and analysis maps GSD position in the research, noted SPM has a weakness in the field of IS / IT. To win the competition and increase company profit, SPM needs to design a strategic plan of IS / IT that aligned with business strategy. The basic concept used in preparing the integration of information systems and business strategy at the SPM is to use the methodology proposed by King danTeo, in his journal, entitled Integration Between Business Planning and Information System Planing: validating a Stage hypothesis. Research methodology which, among others, with interviews, studying documents and observations of the business activities and reviewing and analyzing the theoretical basis used in preparing the framework of the strategic plan of IS / IT. The outcome of the study was to determine factors - factors into the strengths and weaknesses of the SPM provides a framework of strategic planning of IS / IT that integrated so as to facilitate management of managing resources to produce the information needed, and can be used jointly by both SPM management centrally or at the branch office.

Abstract

The development of multi-level marketing company has been very much influenced by the performance of the Independent Business Owners (IBO) in forming the network to market their product. The problems settled in this study were adaptive selling, and smart-working orientation had direct influence on the performance of IBO business through marketing strategy creativity in multi-level marketing of PT ORIFLAME Indonesia in Medan. The purpose of this descriptive quantitative study was to find out and analyze adaptive selling, and smart-working orientation had direct influence on the performance of IBO business through marketing strategy creativity in multi-level marketing of PT ORIFLAME Indonesia in Medan by busing the theory of Marketing Management related to organizational committment, adaptive selling, smart-working orientation and working relationship satisfaction, marketing strategy creativity, and performance. The population of this study was 500 IBO of PT ORIFLAME Indonesia level 9% to 21% who were active in the working area of Medan from january to December 2014 and 100 of them were selected to be the samples for this study. The data for this study were obtained through interviews, questionnaire distribution, and documentation study. The data obtained were analyzed through Path Analysis consisting of direct and indirect influence analysis. The result of this study showed that Adaptive Selling, and Smart-Working Orientation had positive to influence Marketing Strategy Creativity, and Business Performance

Abstract

AbstrackBased on data Center and Information DIKTI, the number of lecturers who have a degree-1 as many as 21,872 of the total lecturer 2016/2017 as many as 237,837. The impossible requirement to be a lecturer in a study program at a college in Indonesia is to have and to be educated up to strata-2 or stara-3. This study aims to identify any factors that affect lecturer competence by using t test and f test. In this research put forward several factors that are academic qualification, teaching experience and motivation of lecturer. Pursuant to result of this research motivation of lecturer in teaching have significant influence to lecturer competence partially with significant value 0,00 smaller than α = 0,05, and simultaneously academic qualification, teaching experience and motivation have significant influence to lecturer competence with a significance value of 0.00 is smaller than α = 0.05. Keywords: lecturers competence, academic qualification, experience, motivation of lecturer. AbstrakBerdasarkan data Pusat Data dan Informasi DIKTI, jumlah dosen yang memiliki gelar strata-1 sebanyak 21.872 dari total dosen 2016/2017 sebanyak 237.837. Syarat mustahak yang untuk menjadi seorang pengajar pada program studi di perguruan tinggi di Indonesia adalah memiliki dan menempuh pendidikan hingga strata-2 ataupun stara-3. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengindetifikasi faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi kompetensi dosen dengan menggunakan uji t dan uji f. Dalam penelitian  ini mengemukakan beberapa faktor yaitu kualifikasi akademik, pengalaman mengajar dan motivasi dosen. Berdasarkan  hasil penelitian ini motivasi dosen dalam  mengajar memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kompetensi dosen secara parsial dengan nilai signifikan 0,00 yang lebih kecil dari α=0,05, dan  secara simultan kualifikasi akademik,pengalaman mengajar dan motivasi memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kompetensi dosen dengan nilai signifikansi 0,00 lebih kecil dari α=0,05. Kata Kunci : Kompetensi Dosen, Kualifikasi Akademik, Pengalaman, Motivasi dosen

Abstract

Abstract            The purpose of this study is to analyze and determine the effect of adversity quotient on Employee Pe-formance Through Job Motivation as an intervening variable in the conventional taxi driver in Medan. The nature of this study was associative,and the type of this research was quantitative. A sample of this research are 253 conventional taxi driver in Medan. The data that has been collected through a valid and reliable questionnaire, then processed using Path analysis approach. Results of this study are (1) adversity quotient has positive effect and significant effect on the employee performance, (2) adversity quotient has positive and significant effect on job motivation, (3) Job motivation has a positive and significant effect on the employee performance, (4) Job motivation was not as a perfect mediation between adversity quotient and employee performance. .

Abstract

The problem of the research were how the influencing of service quality on student’s satisfaction and to identify how the influencing of student’s satisfaction on student’s loyalty in Faculty Economy of Medan Area University. The method of data collection were interview, questionare and study of documentation. The model of data analysis used are multiple linear regression analysis and simple linear regression analysis. The determination of sample using  Slovin formula and the writer used the accidental sampling, the total samples were 95 people.The result of this research were service quality which consists of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy worked together to gave significant contribute of service. The result of second hypothesis through t test shows that student’s satisfaction significantly influence student’s loyalty.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pelayanan Purna Jual yang terdiri dari Garansi, Reparasi, dan Suku Cadang secara parsial dan simultan terhadap loyalitas pelanggan sim card. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian (explanatory research) yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi sebanyak 488 orang mahasiswa. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 100 responden dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Responden adalah pengguna produk sim card di dua universitas yaitu universitas Muslim Nusantara Al Washliyah dan Universitas Al Washliyah (UNIVA) Medan. Teknik analisis data menggunkan analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan memperhatikan uji asumsi klasik dengan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pealyanan Purna Jual yang terdiri dari garansi, reparasi dan suku cadang secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap loyalitas pelanggan sim  card, Layanan Purna Jual secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap loyalitas pelanggan sim card, Reparasi adalah variabel yang dominan memiliki pengaruh terhadap loyalitas pelanggan sim card. Hasil uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa Garansi, Reparasi, dan Suku Cadang berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas pelanggan memiliki R2 sebesar 90,7%.

Abstract

Qualified human resources is a dominant factor for the implementation of good governance, one of which comes from the presence of the Civil Service of the highest integrity. In an effort to improve the integrity of the civil servants , the government has taken various steps which are perfect the system of rewards and punishment . The application of this system is reflected through various instruments such as the provision of benefits ( rewards ) and sanctions (punishment ) . Effective implementation of reward and punishment system is influenced by employee perceptions of the implementation of the system . The main impact is expected from the implementation of reward and punishment system is the formation of employee integrity in performing their duties.Formulation of the problem in this study is whether the employee s perception of the reward and punishment system is significantly related to the integrity of Sumatra Tarukim Service employee in performing their duties. This study aims to determine the relationship of perception of the civil service system of rewards and punishment to the integrity of Sumatra Tarukim Service employee in performing their duties. This research was conducted at the Department of Spatial Planning and Settlement of North Sumatra Province with a sample of 85 employees . Data were collected through questionnaires .Methods of data analysis performed by linear analysis with the help of SPSS software version 18. The analysis showed that the perception of reward and punishment system and the positive effect that was significant to the integrity of the officials in the Department of Spatial Planning and Settlement of North Sumatra Province
