Abstract

This The aims of the study was to determine the bacteria which grown in fermented of the tamba pork (Sus sp.), the Dayak Bulusu traditional food. Descriptive analysis methods was used in the research. Isolation of bacteria were performed at 10-1 to 10- 10 dilution using NaCl solution. The cells mixture were poured and incubated at 37oC for 24 hours. Characterization of bacteria was done in basis of morphology of colony, Gram- staining, and a partial biochemical tests. Three strains of bacteria were isolated i.e. Pseudomonas, Staphylococcus and Klebsiella, respectively.

Abstract

Explorative descriptive research that has been implemented inpaddy-fields at Sasak jalan aim to understand diversity andstructure of the community an insect active in the surface of theground. Insects was collected by pitfall trap method.The resultshowed, there were 7 ordo, 14 famili and 18 genus of insects inthe paddy fields sasak jalan. The diversity of the average rangedfrom 0.78-0.84. Index of uniformity in each paddy field rangedbetween 0.66-0,75 with the highest uniformity index waslocated on the land of the zone I to the value of 0.75. Indexdominance in each land, averaging around between 0.18-0.23.

Abstract

Dengue fever dengue (DBD) is an infectious disease caused by dengue virus, which is spread by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Samarinda City health report that the last 3 years of disease in some wards DBD Samarinda endemic status and has an incidence rate 155,1/100,000 population. The village has a number of cases most of which political districts Loa Bakung, Dadi Mulya and East Sempaja. One of the controls is done by sharing Samarinda Health Office to the public, however abate insecticide control using abate hasn’t been able to reduce the number of cases of illness DBD. This research aims to know the mortality of larvae of the mosquito Ae. aegypti (Diptera: Cullicidae) of abate relic Loa Bakung, Dadi Mulya and East Sempaja,Samarinda. Methods used namely ovitrap method and analysis software with POLO-PC. From the 3 region value of LC50 obtained abate with the dose 0.01% recommended by the Health Office RI is no longer effective because the results showed that abate 0.01% can't kill animals testing by 50% in a span of 24 hours.

Abstract

Which aims to determine the levels of heavy metals Pb and Cu in water, sediments and blood clam (Anadara granosa) in Muara Badak. Sampling using purposive sampling method with 3 stations and each station repeated twice. Levels of heavy metals Pb and Cu were measured using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The results showed that the levels of heavy metals Cu and Pb in water, sediments and blood clams in Muara Badak as follows: Pb in water ranging between 0,204 – 0,376 ppm and Cu 0,033 to 0,035 ppm, sediment metal content of Pb 0,212 to 0,285 ppm and Cu 0,010 to 0,113 ppm, on blood clams Pb 0,201 to 0,258 ppm and Cu 0,066 to 0,078 ppm. Based on quality standards of heavy metal level Pb and Cu on blood clam did not exceed the threshold of quality standards yet in accordance with SNI No. 7387: 2009 is 1,5 ppm and Department of Health Republic Indonesia No. 0375/B/SK/1989 is 20 ppm

Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the effect of decoction of the leaves binahong in improving of sperm quality of diabetic mice induced by alloxan. The quality of mice sperm including number of spermatozoa, motility and morphology of spermatozoa were determined after 30 days. Completed randomized design was use in this research, 30 mice were devided randomly into 5 groups (negative control, positive control, first treatment dose of 29 mg, 57 mg doses of treatment II and 114 mg doses of treatment III). The results of the quality of spermatozoa were presented as mean ± standar error (SE). Analysis of Variances (ANOVA) was used to determined statistical different among the group, followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with significant level 95%. The results found that there was an increase in blood sugar levels followed by a decline in the number of spermatozoa, motility of spermatozoa (P>0,05) and the increase in abnormal morphology of spermatozoa (P<0,05) in all groups except the negative control after induced. After being given a dose of binahong decoction variation of the results showed that the number and motility of spermatozoa was highest in the group PIII that were given doses of 114 mg a mean number of spermatozoa (21016,00 ± 130,171) and motility of spermatozoa (34,33 ± 0,88). Meanwhile, the lowest morphological abnormal spermatozoa are group PIII with a mean of (79,33 ± 0,88). The conclusion of this study is a decoction of the leaves binahong is able to improve the quality of spermatozoa diabetic mice along with a decoction of the leaves binahong doses in increments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah air rebusantepung cacing tanah berpengaruh terhadap titer antibodi serumdarah mencit, serta jumlah leukosit dan jenis leukosit mencityang diinfeksi bakteri S. Typhi. Penelitian ini bersifateksperimental laboratorik dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap(RAL), yang terdiri dari 5 kelompok perlakuan dengan 5ulangan. Masing-masing kelompok terdiri dari 5 ekor mencit.Kelompok terdiri atas Perlakuan I diberi air rebusan tepungcacing tanah (TCT) dengan konsentrasi 8%; Perlakuan II diberiair rebusan TCT dengan konsentrasi 16%; Perlakuan III diberiair rebusan TCT dengan konsentrasi 32%; Perlakuan IV diberiair rebusan TCT dengan konsentrasi 64% dan kontrol tanpapemberian air rebusan TCT. Hasil penelitian titer antibodiserum darah mencit akut demam tifoid menunjukkan perubahanpositif demam tifoid menjadi negatif demam tifoid pada tiapkelompok mencit P1, P2, P3 dan P4 (air rebusan tepung cacingtanah 8, 16, 32 dan 64%), pada kelompok kontrol tanpa airrebusan tepung cacing tanah mencit tetap mengalami demamtifoid. Rerata pengukuran jumlah leukosit tertinggi terlihat padakelompok P4 dengan konsentrasi 64% yaitu 8,61/mm3 danterendah pada kelompok kontrol yaitu 3.18/mm3. Mencit dikelompok P1 (Pemberian air rebusan tepung cacing tanah 8%)yaitu 3,14/mm3. Mencit di kelompok P2, P3 dan P4 mengalamikenaikan jumlah leukosit. Data analisis statistik, uji One WayAnova didapatkan perbedaan yang signifikan pada jumlahleukosit antara tiap kelompok mencit (P<0,05). Berdasarkandata analisis statistik jenis leukosit yaitu Neutrofil Segmen,Neutrofil Batang, Eosinofil, Limfosit dan Monosit, pada ujinormalitas didapatkan data berdistribusi normal (P>0,05) danhasil uji homogenitas diperoleh data yang homogen (P>0,05),kemudian dilanjutkan pada uji One Way Anova didapatkantidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada jenis leukosit antaratiap kelompok mencit (P<0,05).

Abstract

This research aims to determine the types of medicinal plants used by the tribal communities of Kutai, herb medicine, the way to processing of medicinal plants and the environment unit of medicinal plants. The method used is descriptive methods, Participatory Ethnobotanical Appraisal technique, interviews and snow ball and also transect walk systematic sampling. Data analysis using Ms Excel 2013.Has been found as many as 113 kinds of medicinal plants, for which 109 species are from 53 families and 4 other species are not identified. Potion used as many 38 types of potions. Medicinal plants was processed with crushed/mashed 51 species; boiled 43 species; use directly 13 species; kneaded 12 species; marinated/brewed 5 species; made the statue 3 species, slice 2 species; dried, squeezed, shredded, torn and plaited each of them 1 species. The most environment unit of medicinal plants was found in the yard (73%), groves or simpung (11%), stall 5%, not obtained 4%, the curb 4% and in the riverside (3%).

Abstract

This research was conducted in November 2015 to March 2016 in Anatomy Laboratory and Plant Systematic. This study aims to determine the morphology of the pollen that contained in the liquid bees Apis dorsata Fabr. and to determine the type of plant food sources of honey bee Apis dorsata Fabr. Based on the results of research that has been conducted on a sample of honey bees Apis dorsata Fabr. from the villages of Hulu Kelay And Nyapa Indah, while the estimating pollen found as many as 22 Famillies and 29 species of plants. The honey samples from the Hulu Kelay’s has found 17 famillies and 23 species of plants. The dominant plant as feed for bees Apis dorsata Fabr. in the village of Hulu Kelay has found Family of Moraceae and species of Antiaris toxicaria totalling 98 pollen. Whereas in honey samples derived from village of Nyapa Indah has found 13 famillies and 15 species of plants. The dominant plant as feed for bees Apis dorsata Fabr. in the village of Nyapa Indah has found Family of Verbenaceae dan species of Vitex sp. totalling 90 pollen. Based on the morphology of the pollen (shape, size, ornament and arperture) and pollen with unit of monad dominates both samples. The shape are varies from oblate, suboblate, oblate spheroidal, prolate spheroidal, subprolate and prolate. Category size from small to large ornament consisting of psilate, perforate and echinate. Aperture consists of inaperture, monocolpate, monoporate, triporate, tricolpate, tricolporate and pantoporate.

Abstract

Soybean (Glycine max L. Merr.) is one of the foodstuffs that are oftenconsumed most of Indonesian. Soy contains phytoestrogens, whichhave chemical structures resemble the hormone estrogen in the body,namely the isoflavones, especially genistein. Genistein is known notonly have various beneficial physiological effects but also act as anendocrine disruptor is because estrogen can play a role as well asantiestrogen activity that affects the metabolism of sex hormones andrelated activities biologi. The objective of this study was to know thequality of genistein in soy extracts Grobogan varieties that have beenpeeled the husk with Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and thequantity of soy extract genistein levels Grobogan varieties that havebeen peeled the husk with a method of High Performance LiquidChromatography (HPLC). The method used for extraction ofisoflavones genistein is maceration. Soybean seed samples which havebeen hulled begins with removal of non polar compounds byextraction using n-hexane solvent extraction followed macerationusing 80% methanol. The methanol extract obtained fractionated witha stationary phase of silica gel GF 254, the mobile phase toluene-ethylacetate-aseton- formic acid 20: 4: 2: 1 (v / v). To determine whether ornot a compound genistein compounds in the extract by using acomparison standard genistein further Rf sample extract comparedwith the price of a standard Rf. While the determination of genisteincompound quantitatively with HPLC method genistein standard wear≥ 98% at a concentration of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 ppm. The identification ofgenistein using Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), shows the stainsthat have Rf of about 0.43. Results genistein content by HPLC showedpeaks of the chromatograms that have a retention time of about 2,050minutes. HPLC analysis results in three replication showed levels ofgenistein in soya bean varieties Grobogan was 1 g samples of soyextracts that have been flayed husk there was an average of 0.6356 mggenistein. In the soybean seed Grobogan varieties contains isoflavonesgenistein. Levels of genistein in 1 g of sample soy extracts Groboganvarieties that have been flayed epidermis was an average of 0.6356 mggenistein.
