Abstract

Kembara Locusts (migratory locust) is corn and rice pests that attack the leaves inhibits the photosynthesis process. Bintaro Leaf (Cerbera manghas) is known to have potential as an insecticide plant because it has flavonoids, saponin, and tannins. This research is therefore aimed to find out (1) the effect of various filtrate concentrations on Bintaro leaf (Cerbera manghas) against the Kembara locusts movement activities wanderer (Locusta migratoria); (2) the form of teaching materials that can be made from the results of this research. This research was experimental research using Randomized Posttest Only design with 4 treatments and 6 repetitions. The concentration used was 25%, 50% and 75%. The independent variables this research was different filtrate concentrations of Bintaro leaf (Cerbera manghas) while the dependent variable is the movement activities of Kembara locusts (Locusta migratoria). Based on the result of Anova analysis, it is found that there is an effect of the filtrate concentration of Bintaro leaf (Cerbera manghas) on the movement activities of Kembara locusts (Locusta migratoria). While the most effective concentration as an insecticide found is a concentration of 50%, this is because low concentrations can give a significant effect to the movement activities. Lastly, these findings can be utilized as teaching material on the topic of pest and disease control at Vocational High Schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the readiness of teachers' perceptions and science subjects in SMP Muhammadiyah of Surabaya on the implementation of Curriculum 2013 and discoverd the obstacles facing teachers. The subjects were teachers of science subjects in SMP Muhammadiyah of Surabaya, by sampling quotas with interview and descriptive analysis. The final conclusion (1). Teachers of Science Subjects in SMP Muhammadiyah of Surabaya found Curriculum 2013 that had been a good year because it could make students active and able to learn the problems faced. The 2013 Curriculum for science subjects was in conformity applied to the junior high school students, as a solution to the shortcomings inherent in the SBC, and the form of the government's efforts to advance the next generation; (2). Generally Teachers of Science Subjects in SMP Muhammadiyah of Surabaya that had conducted the Readiness of 2013 Curriculum. It appeared from the preparation of lesson plan that was in accordance with the technical guidelines lesson plan in the 2013 Curriculum. The training curriculum of 2013 had been followed; (3). The obstacles encountered mostly teachers on curriculum assessment system in 2013, considered by many, complex, and required a longer time to completion.Keywords: Perception, Readiness of Teachers, 2013 Curriculum

Abstract

This study to see the effect of the provision aims to filtrate the water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) on media AB MIX on the height of plant growth, fresh weight and number of leaves of the plant with Wick Hydroponic System. Treatments ie, control by using AB MIX with 0% filtrate water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes), AB MIX plus 25% of the filtrate water hyacinth, AB MIX plus 50% filtrate water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes), AB MIX plus 75 % filtrate water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes), AB MIX plus 100% filtrate water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) and the filtrate water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) 100% without AB MIX. The parameters observed plant height, fresh weight and number of leaves of the plant water spinach (Ipomoea reptans, Poir). Plant height and number of leaves are highest in treatment AB MIX written filtrate water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) with a concentration of 100% with an average of 21.275 high and the average number of leaves 10. As for the wet weight of kale plants by the filtrate water hyacinth ( Eichornia crassipes) with a concentration of 100% with no nutritional AB MIX provides the greatest impact with the average reaching 1.1325. Based on these results it could be concluded that the filtrate water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) had an effect as plant growth regulators naturally on media AB MIX on the growth of high, wet weight and number of leaves of the plant water spinach (Ipomoea reptans. Abstract

Sejauh ini guru belum pernah melatihkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar siswa, mendiskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, dan mendiskripsikan respon siswa terhadap model PBL. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, desain penelitian One Shot case Study. Prosedur penelitian dilaksanakan 2 siklus yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X-4 SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surabaya. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes tulis dan angket. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah model PBL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surabaya, yaitu secara individu ditunjukkan pada siklus I siswa yang memiliki kategori SK sebesar 2 siswa dan pada siklus II menjadi 16 siswa, sedangkan secara klasikal pada siklus I 22% dan pada siklus II sebesar 83%. Ketuntasan hasil belajar secara klasikal sebesar 12.90% pada siklus I dan pada siklus II sebesar 93.54%. Keterlaksanaan model PBL skor rata-rata keseluruhan pada siklus I sebesar 2,45 dan pada siklus II sebesar 3,73. Respon positif siswa terhadap model PBL rata-rata positif dan 100% siswa merasa dapat mengasah kemampuan berpikir kreatif.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pentingnya pembelajaran kolaboratif dalam membangun budaya belajar aktif siswa atau mahasiswa. Ada dua bahasan dalam artikel ini, yaitu: (1) pengertian dan prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran kolaboratif dan (2) penataan tempat duduk siswa. Pembahasan diambil dari beberapa literatur. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa budaya belajar yang diciptakan guru di kelas masih banyak yang mempraktikkan teknik mengajar “monolog”, sehingga hak-hak belajar siswa/mahasiswa tidak terpenuhi. Pembelajaran kolaboratif (collaborative learning) adalah suatu proses mengkonstruksi pengetahuan melalui interaksi dengan yang lain. Ada tiga unsur atau persyaratan dalam membangun pembelajaran kolaboratif, yaitu pembelajaran otentik (authentic learning), hubungan saling menyimak (listening relation) dan tugas untuk melompat (jumping task). Penataan tempat duduk mempengaruhi interaksi dan aktivitas siswa selama belajar. Kesimpulan berdasarkan prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran kolaboratif dan penetaan tempat duduk siswa dapat dipastikan bahwa hak-hak belajar semua siswa dapat dijamin, baik yang berkemampuan rendah maupun berkemampuan tinggi.

Abstract

Abstrak: This study aims to (1). determine the effect of learning model Learning Cycle 5E on the material Invertebrates of the science process skills of students (2) the effect of the model Learning Cycle 5E on the material invertebrates effect on cognitive learning outcomes of students (3) determine the ability of teachers to manage learning biology through learning model Learning Cycle 5E in improving skills and the cognitive learning process of students. This study is a quasi experimental research with the study design using the design of "The Non-Equivalent Control Group". The sample in this research is class X SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Surabaya. Data collected with the test and non-test (observation) using research instruments observation sheet teachers 'skills in the management of learning, observation sheet skill students' science process, pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively test statistic T. From these results it can be concluded that: (1) There is an effect Learning Cycle 5E learning model on Invertebrate material to the students' science process skills; (2) Model Learning Cycle 5E on Invertebrate material effect on cognitive learning outcomes of students. The average value of completeness in classical the experimental class amounted to 78.2%; (3) ability to understand biology teachers manage learning by using Learning Cycle 5E models in enhancing science process skills of students and student learning outcomes SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Surabaya in he very good category.

Abstract

Teachers must have academic qualifications and competence as a learning agent. Academic qualification meant is the minimum educational level to be met by an educator. Competency as learning agents in elementary and high educations includes four competencies, namely pedagogical competence, personal competence, and professional competence and social competence. This research aims to determine the relationship between students’ perception about teachers’ competence with social attitudes and students’ learning outcomes. This research used descriptive analysis and correlation methods in which these methods are supported by data collection techniques include questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis technique used in this research is product moment technique. Based on the data processing result obtained that the next step was classified and produced so that the final data produced Rxy as follows: on Muhammadiyah 1 Senior High School Surabaya, it has obtained the results of students perceptions teachers’ competence with social attitudes and students’ learning outcomes Ro of 0.99 and 0.81 whereas in Muhammadiyah 7 Senior High School Surabaya in consecutive obtained Ro of 0.40 and 0.75. Both of these data showed a positive correlation between student perceptions teachers’ competence with social attitudes and students’ learning outcomes. Thus, it can be concluded that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, it does show that student perceptions teachers’ competence relating to social attitudes and students’ learning outcomes.Keyword: learning outcomes, student perceptions, teacher competence, social attitudes.

Abstract

Sulitnya siswa memahami materi Biologi dikarenakan guru kurang tepat dalam memilih metode pembelajaran. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar Siswa kurang mampu dalam memahami Sistem Peredaran Darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan Discovery Learning dan laporan hasil penelitian dipublikasikan melalui jurnal menjadi salah satu persyaratan kenaikan pangkat. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah observasi, tes, dan catatan lapangan. Teknik analisis data yang dipergunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan simpulan, serta verifikasi refleksi. Penggunaan Discovery Learning pada siswa, terbukti dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, nilai rata rata hasil belajar sebelum tindakan 72,56, pada siklus pertama 80,51 sedangkan pada siklus kedua 89,49. Sebelum tindakan siswa yang tuntas belajar sebanyak 26 siswa atau 66,67%, pada Siklus I siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 28 siswa atau 71,79%, sedang pada Siklus II siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 35 siswa atau 89,74%. Dilihat dari ketuntasan belajar sebelum dilakukannya tindakan sampai dengan siklus kedua terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar, dapat diartikan Penggunaan Discovery Learning terbukti dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Sistem Peredaran Darah di Kelas VIII - B SMP Negeri 9 Surabaya tahun pelajaran 2014-2015. Sebelum tindakan sebesar 2.00, sedang pada siklus pertama sebesar 3.00 dan pada siklus kedua sebesar 4.00. Dengan demikian kualitas pembelajaran dari sebelum tindakan sampai dengan siklus kedua terjadi peningkatan.

Abstract

Abstrak : Keberadaan semut rangrang (Oechophylla smaragdina) pada pepohonan dianggap sebagai pengganggu karena gigitan dari semut rangrang (Oechophylla smaragdina) mengakibatkan rasa gatal pada kulit manusia. Pengendalian hama semut rangrang yang biasa dilakukan oleh masyarakat adalah dengan cara membakar sampah di bawah pohon. Asap yang ditimbulkan dari pembakaran mengakibatkan dampak yaitu pencemaran udara. Kulit buah durian (Durio ziberthinus) mengandung minyak atsiri, flavonoid, dan lain-lain yang bersifat anti serangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kulit durian terhadap aktivitas semut rangrang.Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 kelompok perlakuan dan 6 kali pengulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari: P0 (tanpa pemberian perlakuan kulit durian), P1 (pemberian perlakuan kulit durian utuh/segar), P2 (pemberian filtrat kulit durian), dan P3 (pemberian serbuk kulit durian). Jumlah semut rangrang yang mengalami perubahan dianalisis dengan Anova.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa ada pegaruh pemberian berbagai jenis sediaan kulit durian (Durio ziberthinus) terhadap aktivitas semut rangrang (Oecophylla smaragdina). Perlakuan yang memberikan pengaruh segnifikan adalah serbuk.Kata kunci: kulit buah durian (Durio ziberthinus), semut rangrang (Oecophylla smaragdina)
