Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of: (1)the problem-based learning (PBL) method; (2)the direct teaching method; (3)the PBL method compared with the direct teaching method, for the low prior knowledge students; (4)the PBL method compared with the direct teaching method, for the high prior knowledge students. This research is a quasi experimental with the pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The independent variabel was teaching method, the score on pre-test as a covariate, and the students. achievement as the dependent variable. The research population comprised year XI students of the Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Muhammadiyah Prambanan, totaling 137 students, divided into four classes. This study used a sample of two XI classes, totaling 64 students. The instrument was an achievement test in the multiple-choice form. The validation was conducted by analyzing the validity of the test items, difficulty level, discrimination index, and the functioning of the detractors. The result was that the 40 items used were all valid and the reliability was high (á=0.921). The data were analyzed using the analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). This study conclude that, in the competence of repairing the cooling system by considering the students' score on pre-test as prior knowledge: (1) on the whole, the PBL method is more effective than the direct teaching methods, (2) the students who have high prior knowledge are more effective to be taught using the PBL method than the direct teaching method, (3) the students who have low prior knowledge are not difference in effectiveness to be taught using the PBL method and the direct teaching method, and (4) there is no difference in effectiveness between low prior knowledge students and high prior knowledge students who were taught using the PBL method.

Abstract

Facing the challenge of MEA, we require to filter for protecting the foreign cultures that are not the same with the culture of our nation, one of the solutions is a holistic character education. This study is for determining the effect of: (1) the family environment and the industrial work practice towards holistic character education, (2) the family environment and the industrial work practice towards the soft skills, and (3) the family environment and the industrial work practice indirectly through soft skills towards the holistic character education. This type of research is the ex-postfaco to with quantitative approach. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires. While the analysis technique using path analysis. The research population numbered 555 students of vocational hight school in Malang, and 126 students for sample. Sampling uses a random probability sampling group. The results showed: (1) there is a direct effect and significant correlation between family environment and industrial work practice towards holistic character education, (2) there is a direct influence of the family environment and the industrial work practice against soft skill, and (3) there is the indirect effect between family environment and industrial work practice through the soft skills of the holistic character education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Achievement Machinery Related to Job Readiness, to determine the effect of the Industrial Performance Work Practices and Work Readiness to determine the effect of Achievement Care and Repair Engine and Performance Practice Industrial Work together to Class XI Student Work Readiness Program Machinery Engineering expertise SMK Pancasila Kutoarjo Academic of 2012/2013.The population in this study were all students of Grade XI Skills Program Smk Pancasila Kutoarjo Machinery Engineering Academic of 2012/2013 a number of 351 students, 40% of samples taken as many as 140 students, while 30 students for the test instrument. This research study including the ex post facto, while sampling technique using a random system (random sampling). Data collection technique used to obtain the data documentation Achievement Care and Repair Engine Performance Work Practices and Industry, While the techniques used to obtain data questionnaire Job Readiness. To determine the validity and reliability of the instrument, the instrument tested first. In analyzing the data the study used the technique of partial correlation and multiple regression two predictors.            Results were obtained (1) partially positive and significant effect Achievement Machinery Related to Job Readiness and (2) partially positive and significant impact on the Industrial Performance Work Practices Work Readiness (3) is positive and significant effect regression Achievement Maintenance and Repair machinery and Industrial Performance Work Practices together to Class XI Student Work Readiness Skills Program SMK Pancasila Kutoarjo machinery Engineering Academic of  2012/2013.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much (1) the correlation  vocational of learning interest and entrepreneurship learning achievement to entrepreneurship interest, (2) the correlation between  vocational learning interest and  entrepreneurship interest  and (3) the correlation  between learning achievement entrepreneurship with entrepreneurship interest  of the grade XI student of  technical machine  SMK  Christian 1 Klaten Academic in academic  Year 2014/2015.This study is an ex-post facto. The population in this study is all students of grade XI technical machine as 68 students. This data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. A test instrument using validity and reliability test item instrument. The analyzed technique  using descriptive and analytical prerequisite test that includes tests of normality, linearity and multicollinearity test. Data analysis using partial correlation and multiple regression and analyzed with SPSS 21,00.This research includes that there is a positive significant correlation  between vocational  learning interest and  entrepreneurship interest,  there is a significant positive correlation between entrepreneurship learning achievement with  entrepreneurship internet , and there is a significant positive correlation  between vocational learning interest and entrepreneurship learning achievement with entrepreneurship interest.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) pengaruh kepedulian orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar, (2) pengaruh kebiasaan belajar siswa terhadap prestasi belajar, (3) pengaruh kepedulian orang tua dan kebiasaan belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas XII SMK N 2 Sarolangun.Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian ex-post facto. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dan uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi ganda dan uji korelasi parsial yang didahului uji persyaratan analisis, yaitu uji normalitas dan linieritas.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai korelasi ganda secara bersama-sama antara variabel kepedulian orang tua, kebiasan belajar, dan prestasi belajar dengan nilai koefisien korelasi rx1x2-y dan hasil uji korelasi parsial antara kepedulian orang tua (X1) dengan prestasi belajar (Y) dengan mengendalikan X2 diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi rx1- y, kebiasaan belajar (X2) dengan prestasi belajar (Y) dengan mengendalikan X1 diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi rx2-y, Nilai koefisien determinan (R²) antara X1, X2 dengan Y sebesar 0,505, artinya besarnya hubungan antara X1 dan X2 dengan Y adalah sebesar 50,5%. Hubungan tersebut didukung dengan sumbangan efektif dimana kepedulian orang tua memberikan sumbangan sebesar 6,37% terhadap prestasi belajar dan kebiasaan belajar memberikan sumbangan sebesar 19,15% terhadap prestasi belajar. Dengan demikian, kepedulian orang tua dan kebiasan belajar memberikan kontribusi kepada prestasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Fotositesis research has been done using a light source at the plant by analyzing the oxygen gas is produced. This study aims to determine the effective power light on the photosynthesis of plants. Gas levels of oxygen as a result of photosynthesis can be seen by using a tool-assisted oxygen sensor logger software pro.Plant sample used was a wave of love (Anthurium sp), aged approximately 5 months the number of leaves 4-5 pieces inserted in a tube or jar is closed. Variations lamp power used is 33 watts, 60 watts and 100 watts. Data were collected for 600 seconds for each lamp power. The resulting oxygen levels on photosynthesis recorded using Pro logger software then exported to Microsoft Excel for graphed. The curve is formed can be used to analyze the relationship between oxygen levels with time at each power lights are used. After curve fitting the data to form done by creating a line equation and R2 to analyze the most effective lamp power to increase the rate of photosynthesis.In this study showed that the greater the power of the lamp, the oxygen levels increased. Increased levels of oxygen means that the amount of oxygen produced during photosynthesis is greater than the amount of oxygen used for respiration. From the comparison of the three lights that have different power and graphed equation of the line, turns on the use lamps with power 66 watt and 100 watt having the largest gradient is 0.001. Mean increase in oxygen levels on both the power of this light is very large, while the gradient equation of a line on the lights with 33 watt power is the same, namely 0.0001. Comparison between the use of power 66 watt lamp has a gradient of 0.001, while the 100-watt power gradient 0.0011 has so increased oxygen levels is the most effective at 100 watts of power. R2 at 66 watts power is 100 watts of power 0.9535 while 0.9899. The conclusion for this study were 1) the greater power of the lights then the higher the rate of photosynthesis, and effective lamp power is 100 watts.

Abstract

Learning process at SMK Ma’arif 2 Sleman still passive and uncontrolled, this condition affects to the student learning outcomes. The role of the teacher in the learning process needs to be improved with the right methods to make students more active and encourage student solve the problems. Problem Based Learning (PBL) is one of learning method which the characteristics capable of demanding learners actively and directly involved in the learning. The Aim of this study is want to know affect PBL method can increase the activity and psychomotor learning outcomes of students. The subjects were students of class XI SMK Ma’arif 2014/2015 academic year. Collecting data used in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed an increase in activity of learners by 12.98% and psychomotor learning outcomes by implementing PBL increased 9.01%. The conclution using PBL method was known that activities of learners increase practical subject.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the application of the cooperative learning method type STAD (Student Team Acvhievement Division) can improve learning achievement clutch system subjects in student of class XI TKR expertaise at Kalianda 2 Vocational Hight School of South Lampung. The study hypothesis cooperative learning methods type STAD (Student Team Acvhievement Division) can Improving learning achievement cluth system subject in students of class XI TKR Kalianda 2 Vocational Hight School of South Lampung.This research was conducted in Kalianda 2 Vocational Hight School on May 10 until June 10. This type of research is a classroom action research (CAR). The research subjects is students of class XI TKR totaling 32 students. The research object is cooperative learning methods type STAD (Student Team Acvhievement Division) Improving learning achievement cluth system subject. Data collection techniques with engineering tests, observation sheets, and documentation. Qualitative and quantitative approaches with 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation (interview, observation, documentation, and testing), observation and reflection. The validity of the formula obtained by product moment correlation. Reliability was obtained by the formula alpha cronbacht.The study found the following results: (1) cooperative learning methods type STAD (Student Team Acvhievement Division) can Improving learning achievement cluth system subject in students of class XI TKR Kalianda 2 Vocational Hight School of South Lampung.. Student achievement in pre-test of 48.12 is increased in the post-test first cycle to 60.78, then increased in the post-test cycle II to 70.31 and the last increase in the third cycle into 80.78. (2) The effect that occurs in the process of implementation of learning with using cooperative learning methods of type student Team Achievement Division (STAD) may increase the activity student of class XI TKR Kalianda 2 Vocational Hight School of South Lampung. Activity of students in the first cycle of 37.50% positive increase in the second cycle of 58.81% and no third cycle increased to 82.03%.

Abstract

The purpose of the study (1) to determine whether there is a positive relationship between learning with the resultslearning outcomes Mechanical brake system students of class XI Light Vehicle Engineering Vocational School of State 2  Kebumen Central Java, (2) to determine whether there is a positive relationship between learning facilities at home with the results learning outcomes Mechanical brake system students of class XI Light Vehicle Engineering Vocational School of State 2 Kebumen Central Java, (3) to determine whether there is a positive relationship between learning styles and learning facilities at home with the results outcomes Mechanical brake system students of class XI Light Vehicle Engineering Vocational School of State 2  Kebumen Central Java.This research was conducted at Vocational School of State 2  Kebumen Central Java school year 2013/2014 on November 14th till 27 December 2013. The population in this study were all students of class XI TKR totaling 64 students and this study used a sampling saturated or study populations so that the entire population were sampled. This research is correlational and ex post facto categorized. Questionnaire data collection techniques and documentation of learning outcomes . The validity of the items were obtained from the product moment correlation. About the reliability of the formula obtained by alpha and declared reliable. Before the data were analyzed first tested the prerequisite analysis is normality test, multicollinearity, and linearity test. Analysis using partial correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis.From the analysis of the results obtained the following results: (1) There is a positive and significant relationship between learning (X1) with learning outcomes Mechanical brake system (Y), (2) There is a positive and significant relationship between learning facilities at home (X2) and learning outcomes Mechanical brake system (Y), (3) There is a positive and significant relationship between learning (X1) and learning facilities at home (X2) together with  learning outcomes Mechanical brake system (Y).

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to descibe (1) the correlation between the students’ motiation  toward the learning achievement of fuel system maintenance motorcycle, (2) the correlation and parents’ attention toward the learning achievement of fuel system maintenance motorcycle, and (3) the correlation between students’ learning motivation and parents’ attention toward the learning achievement of fuel system maintenance motorcycle of tenth grade students of SMK Cokroaminoto Wanadadi. The study reports that (1) there was positive and significance correlation between the students’ motiation toward the learning achievement of fuel system maintenance motorcycle, (2) there was positive and significance correlation between parents’ attention toward the learning achievement of fuel system maintenance motorcycle, and (3) there was positive and significance correlation between students’ learning motivation and parents’ attention toward the learning achievement of fuel system maintenance motorcycle of tenth grade students of SMK Cokroaminoto Wanadadi. It could be interpreted that to improve students’ achievement, it was needed motivation and parents’ attention. The learning motivation was need by the students to support their learning activities because motivation was the main factor in increasing their learning achievement. The parents’ attention was also important to improve the students’ learning achievement because parents or family was the first education place for the students.
