Abstract

Course management system developed by University of Atma Jaya Makassar is providing an environment for course interactions within the classroom. One such interaction is attendance process done by the lecturer in the classroom. In this research, a camera-based attencance system is applied to a handheld device with facial recognition algorithm. The method used in this research is to do face recognition using a camera on a tablet PC so that students who can be recognized by their faces, can be declared present and stored data in the Course Management System (STKP).

Abstract

Sentiment analysis is the classification of texts in several categories, usually positive, negative, happy or sad. In recent years, this technique has been used to analyze online product reviews, online news, general elections, disasters, stock markets, and social media, especially twitter. The results of the sentiment analysis can be used as one of the decisions making considerations. In helping to analyze the results of sentiments, visual analytics are used that can help to navigate data, compare various data sets, and explore data distribution. This research aims to analyze sentiment in Bahasa Indonesia using Tweepy and TextBlob as a python library to access and classify Tweets and with the help of visual analytics to explore and observe the distribution of Tweets based on geographical location, especially in provinces in Indonesia. In addition, this research also provides a comparison of the results of the validation of TextBlob using the Naïve Bayes and SVM algorithms with the results of each accuracy of 62.26% and 69.18% which are higher accuracy compared to SentiWordNet.

Abstract

The Coronavirus has made severe damage to the society around the world. Every aspect of human life was affected. As the result, the government propose the “new normal” policy to be applied as the new standards for regulating people in doing their activities. One of the rules within the new normal policy is each people must wear a face mask when they are in a public space. In order to enforce the rule, the implementation of TensorFlow in a face detection technology becomes one of the solutions, especially in the university environment.

Abstract

Cloud computing has existed almost at the same time as when the Internet was introduced to the public. But this term is not as popular as the Internet in many countries, for example in Indonesia. Although cloud computing has been widely used for storages and backups, there are more of its capabilities that have not been explored. This paper aims to introduce the advantages of cloud computing for business, since many small and medium enterprises can not afford to develop their own websites at their local premises. The main reasons for that condition are inadequate fund for the costs and the lack of IT staff to develop and maintain their websites. With cloud computing, those enterprises can compete on the virtual world with small costs.

Abstract

BKAM had difficulty in reporting to SIMKATMAWA, in finding data on achievements and student activities that had been carried out. The purpose of this study is to design a student activity management system to support the performance of the UAJM student bureau and design the UAJM student data structure to fit the SIMKATMAWA. The author understands the scope of the ranking, some data from SIMKATMAWA will be used as needed in UAJM student activities that have not been well recorded. Student performance data management system designed for data management that helps collect data, manage and present useful data for SIMKATMAWA, in support of student data needs within the UAJM student body. The results of the research make it easy for student affairs bureaus to get information on student activities, so that the data can be used for SIMKATMAWA reporting purposes.
