Yupa: Historical Studies Journal publishes articles for four aspects below. Historiography means the writing of history based on the critical examination of sources, the selection of particular details from the authentic materials in those sources, and the synthesis of those details into a narrative that stands the test of critical examination. Historiography studies cover chronologically various themes, such as local history, social history, cultural history, economic history, political history, military history, intellectual history, environmental history, and other historical studies. Philosophy of history, the study either of the historical process and its development or of the methods used by historians to understand their material. History of education is a study of the past that focuses on educational issues. These include education systems, institutions, theories, themes, and other related phenomena in the past. History education includes studies of how history teaches in school or society, curriculum, educational values in events, figures, and historical heritage, media and sources of historical learning, history teachers, and studies of textbooks.

Abstract

Transnational Islamic movement is a terminology that belongs in the new academic study. The term has become a ' nomenclature ' is generally understood as an ideology that crosses state boundaries (nation state). The emergence of transnational Islamic movement's lively lately is part of an Islamic revival and renewal of an era that grew in the Middle East since the 18th century. The post-war collapse of the Caliphate based in Ottoman Turkey in 1924, the movement has found the right momentum by forming new forces in conducting resistance against colonialism and imperialism of the West. Presence of transnational Islamic movement in Indonesia is part of the revivalism Islamic movement in the Middle East that directly make effect against the pattern of Islam in Indonesia. Transmission lines the ideas of this movement through the social movements, education and publications

Abstract

This article discusses about assessment of the constructivism approach in history learning with Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). CDA provides a set of in-depth analysis method which includes the realm of linguistic, social, and cultural. The CDA is composed of three stages of a dynamic analysis and related to each other: (1) analysis of the text, (2) analysis of the practice of discourse, and (3) analysis of social practices. In the context of history learning with constructivism approach, the third stages can be used to assess the development of the system and the structure of the thinking of learners. CDA approach can be used to analyse the work of learners with description test. Therefore, the necessary rubric based on assessment rubrics and discourse analysis of the level of development of thinking learners. Based on the research results, the CDA can be used in learning history, specifically with constructivism approach. Assessment of history learning with constructivism approach is expected to be an alternative assessment of learning that not only assess student knowledge of quantity, but also to measure the development of the system and the structure of the thinking of learners.

Abstract

This paper describes the background, role and impact of the involvement of Andi Selle in the throes of armed in South Sulawesi. This research is a descriptive-analytic nature by using the historical method through phases of heuristics, critique, interpretation, and historiography. The involvement of Andi Selle in the throes of armed caused by internal conflict on TNI. Andi Selle was involved in a series of conflicts with several parties from the time of independence until the period before independence. The upheaval affects ethnic hatred caused by acts of violence and the monopoly of trade in the region committed soldiers, so that hurt the people of Mandar.

Abstract

The theory of the process of the coming of Islam to Indonesia have been assessed and expressed by many experts. Stages of the process in Nusantara is divided into three phases, the process of arrival in the 7th century, the deployment process in the 11th century and the process of development in the 13th century. It also gives influence on the process of arrival, distribution and development of Islam in South Kalimantan. This paper is a review of the literature that gives an overview on the islamization of the South Kalimantan covering the arrival, distribution and development at the 15th century until the 17th century.

Abstract

Serat Wedhatama is a serat that is written by Mangkunegara IV, where in there are the cultural values of their nation. Their culture is then necessary to transform students through education, in particular the historical studies. This paper is a part of Research and Development (R&D) using the model of the Borg & Gall development model oriented learning history based Serat Wedhatama values to improve ethics and morals in students and habitual in educational institutions. In the first stage measures undertaken include: (1) the mapping ethical values and morals in the Serat Wedhatama through the process of hermeneutics; (2) a description of the learning history at State High School 5 Surakarta; (3) the formulation of draft models learning history based Serat Wedhatama values. The results of this study are: (1) produce deconstruction of ethical values and morals in Serat Wedhatama, (2) description of the condition of learning history at a high school in Surakarta, (3) a draft model of a learning history based values of Serat Wedhatama

Abstract

This research oriented at the traditional mining sand in the village of Mataraman that is the business sector labor-intensive and has long lasting. The purpose of this research is to know about the lives of the miners traditional sand in the village of Mataraman sub-district Banjar Regency. The worst of conditions happened in the past years 1995 to 2000, while the best conditions during this time is the condition post monetary crisis over five years is 2000 and 2005. Sand mining in the village Mataraman also provides role for the economy villagers Mataraman, provide jobs, and becomes a magnet the economic activities and expand their villages indirectly also bring economic impact to its villagers

Abstract

Research is expected could become the foundation of renewal in the use of media teaching history in state vocational schools in Pontianak. Based on it, then the researcher wants to describe about media learning customarily using by teachers in the process teaching history. Researcher interested to arrange research with a title “Media Teaching History in State Vocational Schools in Pontianak“. Media uses teaching history in state vocational schools Pontianak has been good enough, since on average teachers using the existing facilities at the school in order to support learning activity. Learning activity history done by the teacher in this has been good enough, because it is already employing variations learning that are attractive. In the teaching process in two classes not only uses the media learning of a textbook, but had done some innovation that is by using media Microsoft Office PowerPoint.

Abstract

This research attempts to obtain information about the participation of teachers history in infuse of nationalism on student X in senior high school 14 Samarinda. The results show that participations of teachers history in imparting flavor nationalism to their students class x in senior high school 14 Samarinda is participation of teachers history in imparting flavor nationalism students are teachers as examples, teachers as inspiratory, teachers as a motivator, and teachers as an evaluator. History teacher found obstacles to imparting flavor nationalism to their students are background students is different, development of technology had an impact on thinking pattern students, the influence of the mass media, and facilities schools that had not yet fully sufficient in supporting teaching history.

The purpose of this paper is to determine the values of the Hindu-Buddhist culture, which is in the Museum of Mulawarman Tenggarong, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. Abstract

This paper uses a qualitative approach design history that includes Groove heuristics, critique, interpretation and historiography. This paper describes a pattern of ethnic life Sasak Ethnic Balinese. The second encounter was part of the ethnic dynamics of patterns of social life, art and culture of the community of West Lombok, Bali, colonial empire domination Netherlands and Japan as well as the aftermath of independence. West Lombok in the course of its history has its own and unique patterns by showing the existence of the ideal cooperation between different ethnic religion in building a harmonious unity.
