Abstract

The Education of Character is an education to build one’s personality through morale education. Character Education has been designed and will be applied in Indonesia, create a great opportunity to minimize even degrade the gender biased factors in Education. Nevertheless, how Indonesian could control and give positive supports to policy maker in Indonesia. By this way, perhaps there is no gender biased, especially in Education.

Abstract

Leadership base qualify is a leadership that be able to apply qualify management well.one of flourish base qualify is Integrated Qualify Management (IQM)applying IQM needs the character change of relation between the one who managing (leader) and the one who doing work (lecturer, worker, laboratory assistant, technician, etc.). Command from the leader changed by the worker into initiative. Leader task not only give a command but also supporting and facilitating work qualify improvement of the members and the workers. To make leadership on a university can apply IQM successfully, then the university has to do systematic process. These are the concepts apply Determination-Implementation-Evaluation-Control-Enhancement (DIECE), that consist steps of plan, plan of implementation, implementation of evaluation, control and enhancement that corrective to the results.

Abstract

Historically, the surau has become an important means (institution/agency) in terms of community development and enlightenment, particularly in religious learning and cultivation of moral values. In addition, the surau-based education had a significant reputation with regard to the spread of Islam to various regions and the area around an island and beyond, and probably to other countries. As a means of religious education, we can still find surau until now, although its role and function are no longer the same as they were in the past, in which educational activities of Islam in the early days of its growth were carried out under the surau educational system. Thus, since the beginning of the spread of Islam to Indonesia, surau has contributed the shape and pattern of its own in the Islamic educational system

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis program studi yang layak dibuka di Pascasarjana IAIN Pontianak. Penelitian ini merupakan Policy Research, yang secara lebih spesifik merupakan Policy for Research yang bertujuan untuk memberikan Information for Policy. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Mixed Methods dengan Parallel Form yaitu Pragmatic Parallel Mixed Methods Design, yang juga dikenal dengan nama Embedded Design dengan menggunakan sintesis terfokus, survei, dan analisis data sekunder. Lokasi pelaksanaan sintesis terfokus dan analisis data sekunder adalah di IAIN Pontianak, sedangkan survei menggunakan angket dengan jawaban terbuka dari lulusan S1 dan S2 PTKI difokuskan di Kota Pontianak dan Singkawang, serta Kabupaten Kubu Raya, Mempawah, Sambas dan Landak. Data yang didapat secara kualitatif dianalisis mengikuti flow model sedangkan secara kuantitatif menggunakan Modus, Persentase, dan rumus-rumus untuk tabel silang (Crosstab). Kesimpulannya adalah bahwa: (1) Responden yang berminat untuk kuliah di Program Magister ternyata urutannya adalah: a) PGMI, b) MP, BKI, dan PBS, c) PBA dan IAT, d) PGRA, e) KPI, f) EI, g) PE, dan sisanya adalah jurusan MD, PA, AS, dan BSI; (2) Berdasarkan kriteria sumber daya pendidik (dosen) yang minimal harus ada 6 orang dengan keilmuan yang relevan dengan prodi yang akan dibuka, maka prioritas prodi yang cukup layak untuk dibuka adalah prodi Manajemen Pendidikan (MP), Dakwah dan Komunikasi (DK), dan Hukum Keluarga Islam (HKI).

Education is a human effort to buil his personality based on community values and culture. Even the simplest community has education process. Islam education concept building and increasing human quality and moeslim community in globalization era refer to Al-Quran and As-sunnah as the true resources. Abstract

Since Basra was a trading port for Iraq in the Arab Gulf, foreign influences that affected the progress in the field of trade and investment. Here in this port, encounters occurred between Arabs, Persians and Indians as well as between the religions of Christianity, Judaism, Majus and Islam. The closeness between Basra and the Gandisabur school in Persia that studied the Persian, Greek, and Indian culture has generated a mix of culture as a whole. During the period of Umar ibn Abdul Aziz, translation works on medical books were carried out by Masir Haubah. The same thing was also undertaken by Abdullah al-Muqaffa’ who was fluent in Arabic and Persian. He translated books on the Persian literature and history into Arabic. From the son of Abdullah al-Muqaffa, Muhammad, the Arabic translation of Aristotle’s science of logic Kalilah wa Dimnah was produced. There was also a Jewish translator named Hunain Ibn Ishaq, who translated books and got rewards in the form of gold for each weight of books he translated. In Basra, there was a school of Mu'tazilah that learnt the Greek sciences. This strongly affected the school of sciences he learnt such as the science of kalam and nahwu in terms of taqsim, ta’lil, ta’wil dan qiyas.

Abstract

Karya tulis dalam dunia akademis adalah ruh dari kesarjanaan. Sedangkan ruh dari tradisi kesarjanaan muslim adalah mengutip ayat-ayat al-Quran yang kemudian ditafsirkan. Hal tersebut telah lumrah dilakukan oleh para dosen di lingkungan perguruan tinggi Islam. Penelitian ini berupaya menggambarkan corak penafsiran yang dilakukan oleh para dosen di sejumlah karya ilmiahnya, baik dalam bentuk buku, jurnal maupun artikel. Dengan menggunakan telaah kepustakaan di sejumlah perguruan tinggi di provinsi Kalimantan Barat ditemukan bahwa corak tafsir yang digunakan oleh para dosen adalah Tafsir Maudhu’i. Sedangkan jika dilihat dari pola narasinya lebih banyak mendekati pada pola Tafsir Bil Ra’yi serta digunakan dalam keilmuan multidisipliner.

Abstract

Secara bahasa konsep merupakan abstraksi dari ide, sedangkan prinsip adalah pokok-pokok yang mendasari sesuatu. Penelitian ini ingin menemu konsep dan prinsip manajemen pendidikan dalam Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini menggunakan library research dengan metode tafsir tematik. Berdasarkan pada analisis data penelitian, konsep manajemen pendidikan dalam Al-Qur`an adalah proses pengelolaan pendidikan yang dilakukan secara terencana, terarah, terbuka, memberdayakan, menekankan proses dan hasil yang bertujuan untuk mencapai tujuan dunia dan akhirat, sedangkan prinsip manajemen pendidikan adalah menggunakan tujuan `ibadah sebagai tujuan puncak (ultimate meaning), dilandasi dengan nilai-nilai Iman, Islam, Ihsan, pembagian tugas, efektif dan efisien, musyawarah, berorientasi pada tujuan akhir yang dilaksanakan secara bertanggungjawab.

Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of education through a school empowerment approach in managing their institutions, the Ministry of National Education has been doing it for a long time. In the era of regional autonomy, which is implicitly stated in Law Number 22 of 1999, and which was effectively enforced from January 1, 2001, school empowerment emerged through School-Based Management (MBS). With the existence of regional autonomy, schools are freer to develop through initiative, creativity, innovation, and subsequently competitive or able to compete with other schools specifically to improve the quality of these schools and in general to improve the quality of national education. In improving the quality of education, SMA AL-Azhar 10 Pontianak applies TQM, which is a management model that focuses on people that aims to continuously improve customer satisfaction at real costs which are continuously decreasing. And TQM is an alternative that must be applied in educational institutions. With this management, it is expected that school effectiveness will be realized perfectly. The research in this article was conducted to examine the effect of TQM in improving student achievement at SMA AL-Azhar 10 Pontianak to improve the quality of education and achievement in the institution. This type of research uses quantitative research. And data collection is done by interview, observation, and questionnaire methods. The analysis used is quantitative statistical data analysis using the product-moment formula. From the results of the analysis, it was proven that the TQM carried out at SMA AL-Azhar 10 Pontianak was classified as good, meaning that it was running well. And learning achievement at SMA AL-Azhar 10 Pontianak has increased with evidence of increasing graduates and several competitions according to research results and classified as more than adequate category. While the influence of TQM in improving student achievement at SMA AL-Azhar 10 Pontianak has a very strong and very high influence with a product-moment interpretation value of 1.03. One of our suggestions for schools is for all teachers to be even more creative in using and utilizing TQM to develop schools so that students are more enthusiastic about achieving the highest achievement.

Abstract

Incresingly and rapidly technology progress encouraging on more improving user amount of internet base services. Various features on internet base services creating people start to change from conventional media forms books, megazines and newspapers into online base media. Not only as consumer, some becomes part of spreading information especially in social network. Then,from this services people can share thoughts, opinions, knowledges, ideas or communications sharing only without knowing time and place. Although on the other side social media existence not always have positive impact, some part of it individually or group using this services as way to do various criminal acts, other has pragmatic characters and apathetic with social media as long as not bothering personal interests. Based on this,the writing will peeling more about how utilization social media on community especially on academician community aspects. Key words: literation, social media and academician community.
