Abstract

Nowdays the competition on business field is so tight. Companies compete to be the winner on that competition. Competition is done by increase the quality of their product. Because now is the era of quality. All business units have to find lagged indicator, leading indicator and sub leading indicator from their business. All that indicators are arranged become fault tree. In order that the model can be used as a tool to control the process, so its better that fault tree is developed become fishbone diagram.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui tingkat efisiensi strategi dan mengetahui faktorfaktor yang mempengaruhi ketidak-efisienan strategi pemasaran pada suatu perusahaan Wholesaler. Pendekatan Data Envelopment Analysis digunakan mengukur tingkat efisien pada banyak input dan banyak output dari suatu Strategi Pemasaran. Pendekatan Fault Tree Analysis digunakan untuk mencari penyebab ketidak-efisienan strategi pemasaran. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa nilai efisiensi pada Bagian Tele dan Promo adalah kuran dari satu atau belum efisien. Dari pendekatan Fault Tree Analysis diketahui bahwa faktor artikel produk yang di jual tidak lengkap, paket kemasan terlalu besar, aksi borong pedagang besar, pengiriman Supplier terlambat, pelayanan kurang ramah dan tidak ada delivery menyebabkan rendahnya nilai efisien.

Abstract

Proses produksi mie kering di PT. Tiga Pilar Sejahtera (TPS) dilakukan dalam delapan linimesin yang memiliki kapasitas yang berbeda. Penjadwalan produksinya mengalokasikan tiap jenis produk terhadap lini mesin secara intuitif dengan berdasar pada kapasitas mesin dan jumlah order produk saja sedangkan alokasi waktu produksi belum diperhatikan. Hal ini menyebabkan terjadinya pemborosan waktu produksi karena pengalokasian produk pada lini mesin yang kurang optimal. Akibatnya pemenuhan order produk tidak memenuhi target yaitu rata-rata sebesar 8.74% dan adanya kelebihan produksi dari order yang diminta yaitu rata-rata sebesar 22.28%. Berawal dari permasalahan tersebut, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan penjadwalan produksi untuk meminimasi waktu produksi menggunakan metode pemrograman linier (PL). Data primer dan sekunder yang didapatkan dari observasi diformulasikan menjadi variabel keputusan, fungsi tujuan dan fungsi kendala. Variabel variabelini menjadi masukan (input) ke dalam software WinQSB untuk mendapatkan alokasi produkterhadap lini mesin dan kemudian dijadikan dasar dalam melakukan penjadwalan produksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan waktu total proses produksi untuk periode produksi 1 minggu, 8 lini mesin dan 33 jenis dengan penjadwalan pemrograman linier selama 997.13 jam sedangkan penjadwalan metode lama (milik TPS) selama 1183.29 jam. Sehingga diperoleh selisih keduanya sebesar waktu 186.16 jam. Penjadwalan produksi dengan pemrograman linier dapat mengalokasikan waktu produksi secara tepat untuk semua jenis produk yang akan diproduksi.

Abstract

This paper proposes a scheduling model to determine a sequence of the jobs processed in flowshop. The objective for the model is to minimize total actual flow time accomodating the condition that jobs to be processed arrive at the shop at any times when needed and the conditon that the completed jobs be delivered at a common due-date. A heuristic algorithm searching the best solution from the resulting feasible solution has been developed. The numerical experience showing the characteristic of the problem is also presented.

Abstract

This research uses genetic algorithm for no-wait flowshop scheduling problem. The shop requires the condition that each job be processed without any interruptions on all m machines and between two consecutive machine. This means that the start of processing a job on a given machine may be delayed in order to make the completion of the job on the machine coincide with this beginning of processing the job on the subsequent machine. The objective for the model is to minimize total actual flow time accommodating the condition that job to be processed arrive at the shop at any times when needed and the condition that the completed job be delivered at a common due-date. Genetic algorithm is randomly and structured search to find optimal solution. Numerical experience shows that for a given scheduling problem, genetic algorithm solution better than before (Yuniaristanto, 2001)

Abstract

Bagi perusahaan jasa, keberhasilan dalam memberikan pelayanan yang memuaskan kepada pelanggan merupakan salah satu kunci sukses. Komitmen akan kualitas pelayanan yang berorientasi pada pelanggan merupakan prasyarat utama dalam menunjang keberhasilan bisnis, terutama industri jasa. Perusahaan harus memberikan pelayanan sesuai dengan harapan dan kebutuhan konsumen agar konsumen merasa puas, sehingga perusahaan akan dinilai memiliki kinerja yang baik atau optimal menurut perspektif pelanggan. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kinerja kartu seluler Smart berdasarkan perspektif penggunanya. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, langkah-langkah meliputi empat tahap, yaitu (1). identifikasi atribut-atribut kepuasan pengguna kartu seluler, (2). penghitungan gap persepsi-ekspektasi dan penghitungan Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), (3). analisis faktor menggunakan SPSS, dan (4). pemetaan tingkat kepentingan kinerja (IPA) untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang perlu diprioitaskan untuk perbaikan. Dari hasil identifikasi atribut didapatkan 47 atribut kepuasan pengguna kartu seluler. Faktor yang terbentuk berjumlah sembilan faktor, yaitu keandalan pelayanan informasi, kualitas pelayanan Gallery Smart, kualitas fasilitas utama, tarif, masa aktif dan tenggang kartu, kelengkapan fasilitas pendukung, kewajaran harga dan kualitas layanan, akses internet dan bonus, promosi dan ketersediaan pulsa, dan keandalan layanan pendukung. Sedangkan nilai CSI diperoleh rata-rata -0,152 artinya secara keseluruhan kinerja kartu seluler Smart masih buruk atau belum memuaskan konsumen. Hal-hal yang harus diprioritaskan untuk diperbaiki, yaitu jangkauan (coverage) area yang luas, kualitas sinyal sangat bagus, jarang terjadi error, dan Gallery Smart tersebar merata.

Abstract

Mushroom cultivation is a new source of food. The cultivation requires the control of temperatureand humidity to produce good quality of mushroom. Nowdays, there are many tools of automatic or manual temperature and humidity control system. However, they have many limitation in practical situation, such as difficulties in use and assembly. This research aims to design and make a better prototype of temperature and humidity control system, which can improve the productivity of mushroom harvest.The research method has two phases, that are conceptual design and tool and system design. The conceptual design phase includes need identification, system design, and component selection. The second phase are tools application and main system, includes microcontroller, sensor, heater, refrigerator, electronic circuit, hardware, the programming tool, and assembly of tools.The research produces a prototype of temperature and humidity control by using ATmega16 microcontroller, which increases the response time of temperature and humidity control, automatically controlling the system, easy to use and maintanance, and improve the previous system which is still manual control. The prototype is able to help the farmers to control the temperature and humidity in mushroom cultivation. The result from the application of the prototype indicates that it can increase the productivity of the mushroom harvest.

Abstract

Design of security shipment is done by integrating GPS tracking and sensor limit switches to SMS Gateway technology in a single application system. Every movement of delivery vehicles monitored by the system and PT. Pos receive notifications via SMS in accordance with the state of the open door, the vehicle stops and there is no GPS signal.The designstarts fromdesigningthe trackingapplication usingvisual basicinterface06 .The next step is integrating GPS tracking and limit switch sensorwhit tracking application that have made.The application tested by using real shipment case study.

Abstract

Since 1980, there were many free emails launched. Slowly, people only choose some email providers. For known email providers have differences the number of user. For known email providers have differences the number of user. In recent years, user seems to use free email. It indicates that there are the most favourite email were choosed by user. This is because the email have more usable than others. The aim of this research is to propose usability characteristic of email and to get value from usability of email. This research methodology consist of five steps, such as: to clasify the atributtes to usability dimension, to determine criteria for usability atributes, to give value to use Fuzzy AHP, to normalize scale with OMAX, and to try measurement tool. This research result usability tools that have 3 dimensions, 24 attributes, and 11 criterias of email usability. Beside, it shows that effectivity dimension is the important dimension with wight 0,3996. Based on the resulting on try measurement tool kwon that the best email usability is Gmail with value 2,83.

Abstract

Gears is one of machine elements, cylindrical wheels used for transmitting motion and power from one rotary shaft to anothers. The design of the gear is part of the engineering design activities to produce products that are not only superior in terms of technology but produce the design in accordance with the designer. The design of gear involves extensive procedure, complex calculations and many design decision. It is necessary for the design of the gear based on characteristics of material that matches the designer whishes. The characteristics of material on which to base the design include the size of the geometry, the contact stress, bending stress, precision standard and transmission conditions. Selection of gear design to consider the characteristic materials through multi criteria decision making approach. The ELECTRE method is one of MCDM method used to help decision makers choose the best alternative with outranking approach. The results of the analysis with the model ELECTRE is best alternative consists of alternative 3 that has some design criteria includes: contact stress, , bending stress, precision based on the ISO 1328 standard, transmission conditions and the size of the geometry. According to these calcultion , the absolute dominance grading was determined as alternative 3 > alternative 1 > alternative 4 >alternative 2.
