Abstract

By judicious exploitation of supersymmetry formalism of quantum mechanics higher partial wave nucleon-nucleon potentials are generated from its ground state interactions. The nuclear Hulthen potential and the corresponding ground state wave function with the parameters of Arnold and MacKellar are used as the starting point of our calculation. We compute the scattering phase shifts for our constructed potentials through Phase Function Method to examine the merit of our approach to the problem.

Abstract

It has been done a research about separation of regional-residual anomaly in Gravity method. This research compares the result of three methods i.e. moving average method, polynomial method, and inversion method. The computer program is created using a computer programming Matlab 7. From three methods that have been made, the separation results are compared withresults of separation by using Upward Continuation method. From the results of these comparisons will be available an excellent program of regional-residual anomali separation. The results show that in polynomial method of the order 4 obtained similar contour to the separation by Upward Continuation Software. So that the output of this separation will be treated again with Grav2DC software. The output of this software is the density of rock Grav2DC of the studyarea. Processing results obtained the minimum error of 1.85% for the separation by polynomial method, while for the method of Upward Continuation obtained minimum error of 2.22%. The results obtained show that the separation of regional-residual anomali by polynomial method is similar to separation by Upward Continuation method.

Abstract

The Schrödinger equation for Hulthen potential plus Poschl-Teller Non-Central potential is solved analytically using Nikiforov-Uvarov method. The radial equation and angular equation are obtained through the variable separation. The solving of Schrödinger equation with Nikivorov-Uvarov method (NU) has been done by reducing the two order differensial equation to be the two order differential equation Hypergeometric type through substitution of appropriate variables. The energy levels obtained is a closed function while the wave functions (radial and angular part) are expressed in the form of Jacobi polynomials. The Poschl-Teller Non-Central potential causes the orbital quantum number increased and the energy of the Hulthen potential is increasing positively.

Abstract

REDUCTION AND LEACHING PROCESSES. Indonesia has a large source of iron ore which is quite tempting for the purposes of exploitation in form of raw materials as well as for the production of pig iron. However, not all sources of iron ore are proved useful since not only because the present of deposit is scattere dinamounts of less significant but also because it contains element of tin oxide compounds with iron like ilmenite or FeTiO3. However,ilmenite can actually be used as a source of titanium metal which is much more valuable than Fe it self. In order to recover the Ti from their respective compound it is required the release of strong bonds between the atoms in the compound. This paper reports the recovery of Ti oxide of ilmenite containing iron ore which was obtained through a combination of carbon reduction and acid leaching processes. Carbon reduction of iron ore was carried out through mechanical milling between iron ore and carbon with a ratio of 1:1. This was successively followed by a sintering at a temperature of 1000 oC employing a heating rate of 10 ° C/min for 0-3 hours. The reduction process has resulted in the formation of 27.83wt% TiO2. In order to improve the recovery level of TiO2, further reduction process was conducted through an HCl leaching. This successive stage produced fine powders in the form of deposits. Based on our quantitative analysis, the recovery of TiO2 increased to a level of 73.73%.

Abstract

This study is a comprehensive-descriptive analysis elaboration to seismic hazards on Sermo Dam, while in terms of microtremor characteristic (PGA model), its regional geology and observation of instrumentation on it. Sermo Dam is the only one water resources infrastructure which lies in The Yogyakarta Province at time of earthquake disaster happened on May 2006. Basic theories used in this case are HVSR methods, determining sediment thickness, and Kanai Method for Maximum Ground Acceleration, Then, based on these we can analyze characteristics of responsiveness damin the form of local spatial region focused by amplitude (A), dominance frequency (fo), time period (T), sediment thickness (H) and Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) based on microtremor approarch with seismograph TDS 303S. Besides, by an analysis on regional geology that can be obtainable the characteristic of Sermo Dam foundation which lies on the Old Andesite (Kebo Butak) Formation. They are relatively robust when subjected to seismic vibration of middle class to below (less than 7 Richter scale on design). Also it has some declining periodic trends by main dam whereas there is still in the initial stage of design tolerance. The final result is zoning classification of damagepotential with: (1) region by PGA values of 0.04≤ a <0.15g which they are minor impact damage on their buildings; (2) region by PGA values of 0.15≤ a <0.34g which they are medium impact damage on their buildings. The damage level is comparable by inclining of filler material thickness at damsite.

Abstract

Learning materials of vibrations and waves in physics involve abstract mathematical knowledge, not easy to be understood, and frequently generate misconceptions. However, the subject is fundamental prerequisite for mastering more complicated physical concepts. On the other hand, teachers´ materials comprehension itself can affect the way teachers teaching and giving learning experience to the students. Here, we use descriptive research to figure out teacher´s pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) representation during teaching and learning process of vibrations and waves for junior high school grade VIII. Four professional junior high school teachers were chosen as sample. The PCK representation was focused on the content representation (CoRe) which represents teachers´ materials comprehension and their special aspects. Data collections have been done by means documentation study, ongoing classroom activities observation and interviews with the teachers as well as the students. Outcome of this research are: 1) Basic ideas/concepts expected by teachers for students to learn are not yet covering the basic concept needed to understand the concept itself, 2) Teachers are not yet mastering the teaching materials comprehensively, 3) Classroom activities/learning experiences and the method given to the students are not varied.
