Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to develop a digital encyclopedia of higher plants with barcode feature as a learning resource that are valid and practical. The process of developing learning resources of digital encyclopedia of higher plants is done by using ADDIE development model, i.e. analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In this study was done by using technology, ie smartphones, using an application named Quick Response Code (QR Code) that can accommodate a full information of plants description in the form of text then encoding into a barcode. Based on the results of the study, the average value of each aspect, 4.7 to the validity that can be concluded that the development of digital encyclopedia learning resources included in the category of "very valid" (4.5 ≤ Va 5). As for practicality in terms of student’s responses had an average value 81.71%, showing a positive response category, as well as the responses of teachers has an average value of 87.41%, which indicates the category of a very positive response. Both of these indicate that the encyclopedia digital learning resources can be used as a source of practical learning and fun in learning activities outside the classroom. Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to determine whether there is influence of the Remap Coople NHT model on student learning outcomes. The independent variables in this study are Remap Coople NHT and direct instructional learning with lecture method, while the dependent variable is learning outcomes of students. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Palopo which consisted of 6 classes. The research sample was selected by random sampling technique, namely XI MIA 1 as an experimental group with 30 students and XI MIA 2 as a control group with 30 students. Data retrieval method is by using a written test in the form of multiple choice questions totaling 20 numbers in accordance with the learning objectives. The collected research were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was an effect of the application of the Remap Coople NHT model on the learning outcomes of students in SMA Negeri 1 Palopo.  Keywords: remap coople nht, direct instructional, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract.  The objective of this study is to determine the percentage of science process skills of private A accredited high school students in Kecamatan Sukarami and Kemuning. The researcher used descriptive-quantitative method.The sample were the tenth grade students of private high school with A acreditation in four school in Kecamatan Sukarami and Kemuning.The sample was chosen by using Purposive sampling. The data were obtained by using questionnaires, interviews, observations, multiple choice questions, and documentation. The results showed  the percentage of the analysis of science process skills in Kecamatan Sukarami  63.22% (high) and Kemuning 61.25% (high). Kecamatan Sukarami obtained the percentage of indicators namely observing 71.72%, classifying 67.42%, interpreting 67.68%, forecasting 70.71%, formulating a hypothesis 57.07%, planning an experiment 55.05%, and communicating 44.44% . Kecamatan Kemuning obtained the percentage of indicators namely observing 69.22%, grouping 65.52%, interpreting 65.46%, forecasting 70.43%, formulating a hypothesis 50.47%, planning an experiment 51.55%, and communicating 47.85%. Abstract

Abstract. This research is a classroom action research  that aims to improve the students’ learning outcomes of IPA in class VII A, through the Iqro’ learning model with support of video media in SMP Negeri 2 Amali at Bone regency. Subject of this research consisted of 18 students of class VII A of SMP Negeri 2 Amali consisting of 10 men and 8 women in the second semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. This research was conducted in two cycles with six meetings. The data retrieval of students’ learning outcomes is done in the end of every cycle. Technique of data collection in this research used instrument in the form of a test of learning outcomes in the form of multiple choice consist 25 numbers. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The result of data analysis showed that the average value of students learning outcomes increase from 70,78 in the end of cycle I increase to 85,11 in cycle II. The completeness of students’ learning outcomes in the end of cycle I 61,11% and become 88,89 in cycle II. It can be conclude that the Iqro’ learning model with video media improve the students’ learning outcomes of IPA in class VII A SMP Negeri 2 Amali at Bone regency. Abstract

Abstract.This research is a descriptive research that aims to know the self-efficacy profile of students based on biology learning result. The population in this study is all students of class X MIA MAN 1 Makassar, sample of research is 68 people. Data collection was conducted in even semester of academic year 2017/2018. Data of self-efficacy obtained by questionnaire and biology learning result obtained from biology learning result test. Data of self-efficacy and biology learning result analyzed by using descriptive statistics. The results showed that: (1) for students with very high, high and medium of biology learning result have not self-efficacy (2) for students with low and very low of biology learning result have self-efficacy.Keywords:descriptive research, self-efficacy, biology learning result.

Abstract

Abstract. Conventional learning model with lecture method that teacher- centered was still dominating and usually used by teacher in learning proccess at high school. Teacher needed learning model that can increase student cognitive retention. This research aims to determine whether there is influence of the cooperative learning Jigsaw-type model on retention of cognitive. The design is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 5 Wajo which consisted of 3 classes. The research sample was selected by random sampling technique, namely X MIPA 2 as an experimental group with 23 students and X MIPA 3 as a control group with 26 students. Data collected by using a multiple choice test totaling 20 numbers. The collected research was analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was an effect of the application of the cooperative learning Jigsaw-type model on retention of cognitive of students in SMA Negeri 5 Wajo. Abstract

Abstract. The author's experience in teaching material all this time shows that most students feel boredom in their learning, students are still less active in asking questions and responding to learning, students only listen to the teacher's explanation. So, it needs to be given an effective way of learning. There needs to be an effort to introduce a way to help students learn to master concepts and are interrelated so that they can learn meaningfully. One alternative that can meet expectations is the use of concept mapping strategies, especially strategies in the teaching and learning process on mutation material, which is given to students of class XII IPA 6 even semester 2015. This research was carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of: planning, implementation, observation and evaluation and reflection. The results showed that the use of concept mapping strategies in the learning process can improve the process and learning outcomes of students in learning biology in the mutation material of students of class XII IPA-6 Makassar Senior High School 7. Student learning achievement obtained from the first cycle to the second cycle is the highest value achieved is 85 and 95. The average score from the first cycle to the second cycle is 71.74 and 85. Student responses to learning using concept mapping strategies can increase student learning motivation , facilitate learning for students, can attract students 'attention to learning, increase the quality of learning and can increase students' interest in learning. Abstract. This research aims to find out: the knowledge and the attitude of community environmental sanitation in Tamalate Subdistrict, Makassar City, and the maintenance of Community- based Communal Wastewater Treatment Plant in Tamalate Subdistrict, Makassar City, the relationship between environmental sanitation knowledge and maintenance of Community-Based Wastewater Treatment Plant in Tamalate Subdistrict, Makassar City, the relationship between knowledge of environmental sanitation and the maintenance of Community Based Wastewater Treatment Plant in Tamalate subdistrict, Makassar City. This research was a quantitative descriptive research with applying a correlational approach. The population of this research was all household users from 10 locations of communal Wastewater Treatment Plant in Tamalate District, Makassar City. The sampling technique was conducted by using purposive random sampling technique. The instruments of this research used knowledge tests, attitude questionnaires and observation sheets. The results of this research showed that the knowledge of environmental sanitation of user community and Communal IPAL administrators in Tamalate Subdistrict, Makassar City is in the high category. and the knowledge are significantly related and positive direction with maintenance of Community-Based Wastewater Treatment Plant in Tamalate Subdistrict, Makassar City, it is influenced by education level and the socio-economic conditions are still low but if the knowledge and attitude of the community is good, then the maintenance of IPAL will also be good. Keywords: knowledge, environmental sanitation, maintenance of IPAL

Abstract

Abstract.  Development of e-worksheet web-based in biological learning on the digestive system. Thesis. Biology Department. Mathematics and Science Faculty. State University of Makassar.The type of research used is research and development (R & D) which aims to develop learning media on web-based e-worksheet Biology using valid, practical Moodle on the digestive system material. The phase of research and development referred to Gall et al (2003) which consists of 5 steps, those are: (1) Preliminary study; (2) Planning (product design); (3) Preliminary development product; (4) Preliminary test and product revision (validation); (5) Final test and product revision (field test). The subjects’ research was 2 validators, 34 students of XI IPA5 SMAN 11 Makassar, and biology teacher of SMAN 11 Makassar. Data collection is done by testing product validity, collecting student and teacher response data. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis, with the following results: (1) Validity received a valid category from 2 validators with value 4.80; (2) Teachers and students give a positive response to the product with value 4.27. Based on the results of the study, the learning media developed were declared valid and practice. Keywords: e-worksheet, validity, techer response and student response.

Abstract

Abstract. The implementation of the industrial revolution 4.0 policy had a significant impact on the achievement of several strategic fields to support government programs in advancing Indonesia primarily in the field of Education as a basis in science and supporting the technological development process in the field of Education. The 4.0 industrial revolution policy in the field of Education is used to be able to maximize learning media in supporting the learning process so that it gives an impact on the understanding of the murky and is mainly able to implement the knowledge in daily life. The use of cartoon media in the learning process is a form of progress in the field of Education, cartoon media is used as a medium in the learning process to provide interest to the murmur of elementary schools to easily understand the information conveyed through cartoon shows as a learning media in science learning, especially in discussions environment. The impact of the use of cartoon as a learning medium for elementary school students has a pretty good impact on understanding how to protect the environment, so the results of this study directly have a positive impact on the development of elementary school students thinking about the environment and ways to preserve the environment in learning Science.
