Abstract

Counseling Study Program at Pattimura University in 2015/2016 academic year. The research variables are the problems faced by the students. The present research is a survey study. The data were collected through the instruments of Problem Check List (General DCM). Sampling technique using stratified random sampling. There were 315 students then by using Slovin`s formula we taken 177 students as a sample with error standart 5%. The data were analyzed using percentages. The results show that the students in general, still had some problems which inhibited them in their study completion. The problems needed to be solved. The problems were personal problems, physical and health, social relations, economic and financial problems, carrier and work, education and study, religious problems, value and moral problems, young couple relationship and marriage problems, family problems, and the problems related to their spare time.

Abstract

Self-esteem is an essential human need for survival and normal, healthy development. Self-esteem refers to feelings such as whether individuals can receive a success or failure, how many efforts have been done , whether failure would be painful or not, and whether the individual will be able to as a result of the experiences suffered. Abuse of narcotics and dangerous drugs among teenagers today, one reason because it has a prestige that is too high. The subjects were students SMK Negeri 2 Batu. This study aims to determine the level of self-esteem students of SMK Negeri 2 Batu and the relationship between self-esteem with the abuse of narcotics and dangerous drugs to students at SMK Negeri 2 Batu. This research use descriptive correlational with cluster random sampling. Research instrument used questionnaire and data were processed using percentage and product moment. These studies (1) identify of self-esteem 38.06%, in high, 56.72% in medium criteria, and 5.22% in low. (2) correlation coefficient r xy = 0.957 at significant level of 0.05. It can be concluded that there is a relationship or a significant positive correlation between self-esteem with the abuse of narcotics and dangerous drugs.

Abstract

The quality of SMK graduates is influenced by the graduates’ competence attainment that is manifested in academic achievement. Some studies show that academic achievement is influenced by achievement motivation. Increasing motivation is expected to occur through the application of solution-focused brief group counseling. Solution-focused brief group counseling is based on postmodern and social constructivist philosophy. It also has brief characteristics, focused on solution, goal oriented, focused on the present and future time. The design of this study was applying pretest & posttest control group design. The subject in this study were X grade students of SMK Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan who have low achievement motivation. The data were analyzed through TwoIndependent-Sample Test-Mann-Withney U. The results of this study shows that the counting value of z > z table, that is -2.619. Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.009 < 0.05. hence, Ho was rejected. It means that solution-focused brief group counseling is effective to enhance achievement motivation of vocational school students.

Abstract

One important character values instilled in students is the awareness responsibility. Values clarification can increase the insight of diversity values awareness responsibility, because for its implementation has several stages include selecting, respect, action, and self reflection. This study aims to examine the increased junior high school student’s awareness responsibility through values clarification technique using a quasi-experimental research design types one group pretest-posttest design. Subjects were grade ten junior high school students who have the awareness responsibility criteria is low. Based on the results value clarification effective to increase awareness responsibility junior high school students.

Abstract

This study evaluated the effect of metaphor as a reality counseling technique on self-esteem of senior high school students. To achieve that aim, the study applied pretest, middle-test and posttest control group design. Participants in the experimental group (n=5) received metaphor as a technique of reality counseling, whereas participants of the control group (n=5) received reality counseling without metaphor. The analysis of data suggests that: (1) the metaphor is more effective than the reality counseling in improving self-esteem in the middle of intervention; and (2) the metaphor is as effective as the reality counseling in improving self-esteem in the end of intervention.

Abstract

The lack of caring shown by the nurses can be seen from the number of public criticism towards the services they provided. The research problem in this study is whether the students’ caring of vocational nursing students can be improved through experiential learning model?. To answer the research question, equivalent time series design which comprised one pretest and four posttests of 6 respondents was conducted. The caring measurement of the subjects on the pretest, posttest 1, posttest 2, posttest 3, and posttest 4, used Concern Scale form A, A, B, C and D sequentially. Chronbach Alpha Test toward those four forms gave such results of reliability number: 0,838 for form A, 0.814 for form B, 0.750 for form C, and 0.723 for form D. It is said that the criterion validity for all test items is ≥ 0.361. Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test was applied to analyze the data. Results of this study indicates that the hypothesis test of posttest 1 to post-test 2 shows the significance number of 0,116 (≥ 0.05) so that Ho is accepted, the conclusion “there was no difference between the value of the posttest 1 and post-test 2 during the intervention at each subject of the research, or there were subjects of the research who got scores of post-test 2 smaller than the scores of the post-test 1.” It was found that the result of pretest to posttes1 is 0.027 (≤ 0.05), posttest 2 to posttest 3 is 0.027 (≤ 0.05) and posttest 3 to post-test 4 is 0.028 (≤ 0, 05) which concludes that there were differences of value during the process of intervention in each subject of the study. In conclusion, experiential learning model is effective to improve the students’ caring of vocational nursing students.

Abstract

The development of technology that so fast and orientation nasional-internasional broad organization, requires employement has high competence. The organization of employement certainly create a new situation and put school graduates to be able to conform to the situation change. Self Adjustment is constantly interaction between individuals with him, with others, and with the environment. Self Adjustment, help students become happy and Able to devote attention and affection to the people. On the other hand , when individual unable to meet suit in work environment and he will experience conflict the inner and not optimal to his advantage. Structured Learning Approach is an approach learn structured developed based on theoretical social learning and modification behavior. This study used an experimental research design which aims to determine the effectiveness of SLA in increasing self adjustment in the working environment for students Prakerin in groups. Research subjects is 14 students prakerin at the university of kanjuruhan. The instrument used self adjustment scale developed by researchers.The research results show that (1) the average value of the pretest students before training is 32.07, (2) The average value of posttest students after the training 103.79, (3) 14 respondents have higher scores after the training than before the training, (4) the average increase after post-test was 7.50 with a significance level of 0.001.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to improve student’s learning outcome, activity, and self efficacy in Enterpreunership course apply cooperative learning colaboration of Carousel Feedback and Showdown model. This study contained of two cycles in which each cycle contained of three times meeting. Each cycle contained of planning, acting & observating, reflecting, and revise plan. The data collections used in this study were using test, observation sheet, questionnaire, field note, and documentation. The subject was 32 students in the 10th grade students of Multimedia at SMKN 1 Bondowoso. The result of this study showed that after implementing Carousel Feedback and Showdown model student’s learning outcome, activity, and self efficacy increased from cycle I to cycle II. Student’s learning outcome has increased from 73,44% at the first cycle to 86,84% at the second cycle. Student’s activity increased from 60% at the first cycle to 79% at the second cycle. Application of Carousel Feedback and Showdown can also increase student’s efficacy. Twenty five students have very high self-efficacy at the second cycle increase from 15 students at first cycle.

Abstract

Humility is one of the characters themselves the most fundamental and important to be grown, trained and familiarized with students so that can be applied in everyday life. Humility is needed to acquire other virtues because it makes people aware of the imperfections, dare to admit mistakes and take responsibility for what you have done, and make people try to be a better person. This study uses a descriptive-quantitative methodology to identify the level of humility junior high school students (SMP) will specifically identified on the basis of sex or gender differences. This study used random and purposive random sampling of 64 junior high school students. The study identified 6.3% junior high school students are at a very high level of humility, 48.4% junior high school students are at a high level of humility, 20.3% junior high school students are at a level of humility moderate, and 25% of junior high school students are at low levels of humility. So that the average junior high school students are at a level of humility is high (48.4%). Furthermore, hypothesis testing using two independent samples t shows the t value is 0, 725 with significance 0, 039. Therefore, the significance of 0, 039 <0.05 then it is concluded that there are significant differences between the level of humility boys and women in other words there is a significant difference of humility based on gender.

Abstract

National exam raises various demands. Learners feel required to achieve achievement (achievement). This demand may put pressure potentially cause stress on self-learners. Stress experienced by learners in light levels makes the students eager to learn the national exams, but in the later stages of stress can lead to complaints from learners. Objective is to identify the stress level of students for national exams secondary education. This research use descriptive research with quantitative approach (descriptive research). The research instrument to measure the level of stress based on the symptom / symptoms of individuals who experience stress using the instrument DASS (Depression Anxiety Stress Scale). The results showed 8% of learners experiencing severe stress, 24% of students experience stress on a moderate, 50% of learners are having on the stage light and 18% of students experience stress on a normal level and there are learners who experience stress at levels very heavy. Researchers suggest: 1) expanding the number of research subjects so that they can generalize research data, 2) controlling other factors which can influence the stress levels of learners such as social support from family, the role of teacher mentoring in schools, as well as the personality of learners who are vulnerable to stress.
