Abstract

Listening merupakan salah satu kemampuan berbahasa reseptive yang memiliki peranan penting dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Namun pada kenyataannya masih banyak yang belum bisa menguasai keterampilan mendengarkan ini dengan baik. TOEFL merupakan salah satu jenis uji kompetensi berbahasa yang merupakan upaya dalam menstandardisasi penguasaan berbahasa. Listening merupakan salah satu dari bagian yang dirasa cukup sulit pada TOEFL tersebut.Berdasarkan hasil pre-observasi yang dilakukan peneliti di Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, diketahui bahwa kemapuan Listening mahasiswa pada pembelajaran Listening for TOEFL Preparation masih kurang. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan beberapa hasil antara lain, nilai pre-test mahamahasiswa pada mata kuliah Listening for TOEFL Preparation masih dibawah standar yang ditetapkan pada  kriteria penilian TOEFL. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sebuah tehnik yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan listening mahasiswa sehingga dipilihlah TBLT Three Phase Technique sebagai tehnik yang tepat dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan ini.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) mengetahui apakah TBLT Three Phase Technique dapat meningkatkan kemampuan listening mahasiswa Bahasa Inggris; 2) Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan dalam penggunaan TBLT Three Phase Technique untuk meningkatkan kemampuan listening mahasiswa Bahasa Inggris.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Peneliti mengadakan penelitian selama lima bulan pada mahasiswa semester 8 Prodi Bahasa Inggris, Fakultas Kepengajaran dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo.Peningkatan penguasaan kemampuan mendengarkan mahasiswa dapat pula dilihat dari hasil test yaitu pre-test adalah 68,3, post-test 1 adalah 75,4 dan post-test 2 adalah 87,4. Hasil penghitungan signifikansi kenaikan dilihat dari 5% dengan t table ( dari 23 mahasiswa adalah t obtained   2,02 adalah 4,6 dan 8,6 untuk .

Abstract

The main objective of the research is to find out whether story telling technique can improve vocabulary skill or not. The descriptive quantitative method was employed in this research. The samples of the research were business management of MBIS-W41/15 which consists of twenty one students. To collect the data, the writer used questionnaire to know the students’ perception with storytelling technique and vocabulary test to know whether the final test score of the students have a significant progress or not. Storytelling technique deliver a good method to support,moyivate, and encourage knowledge. It can be seen that students were encouraged to be actively and motivately in learning process. Based on the reserach finding, it can be conclude that storytelling technique can improve vocabulary skill and give good atmosphere in teaching learning process. Using storytelling students more interesting and understanding new words. They can work together and share idea to encourage new knowledge which discuss in topic of their lesson. It is good applying  story telling to improve students’ vocabulary

Abstract

Anak berkesulitan belajar merupakan individu yang membutuhkan layanan khusus untuk membantu individu tersebut dalam memperoleh pendidikan. Layanan yang diberikan dapat berupa metode pembelajaran, pendekatan pembelajaran, strategi pembelajaran atau penggunaan media pembelajaran. Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dapat diberikan ialah metode drill yaitu metode yang memberikan latihan terus-menerus kepada siswa untuk memperoleh suatu keahlian. Keefektifan metode drill dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis, siswa diminta untuk melihat kesalahan yang dalam tulisan dan mengulangi tulisan tersebut sampai benar. Penggunaan metode drill dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa berkesulitan belajar. Selain itu, diperlukan evaluasi terhadap peneliti untuk memperoleh hasil yang maksimal dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Based on text-based teaching, the English syllabus emphasizes enhancing the learner's ability to use English in various types of texts. Text is learned not as a final goal, but as a tool for performing various activities in real life. At this intermediate level, teaching materials consist of simple texts. The purpose of this basic competence text analysis is to conduct mapping related to the basic competence of knowledge and to evaluate the content of basic competence in accordance with the context and needs of English learning. Abstract

Speaking is an important skill in learning a language. By speaking, students can express their ideas through words and sentences. To increase the speaking skill, the students need to practice to speak English. There are many activities that can be done to practice speaking. One of it, is by join and listen to CHEMISTRY Radio English Program in Ramapati Pasuruan 93 FM.In this research, the researcher used descriptive study as the research design and used documentation and questionnaire as the research instrument. The researcher chose English department students on the second semester of STKIP PGRI Pasuruan. The researcher was interested in finding out the students interest in CHEMISTRY Radio English Program. The researcher described the students frequency of participation in this program, the reasons in listening and joins this program, the benefits they get when they join this program and the problems that the students face when they participate in this program.Finally, the students of English Department of STKIP PGRI Pasuruan, especially 2013 generation got so many advantages by listening and joining CHEMISTRY Radio English Program. By joining this program, they got more score from their lecturer and increased their ability in speaking English.

Abstract

Peran guru dan orang tua ,sangat penting dalam keberhasilan belajar siswa. Namun siswa sering mendapat kendala,baik kendala eksternal maupun internal. Pendekatan psikologi sangat penting dalam mengatasi kendala tersebut. Diantaranya Self Control dan Self regulated Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah ada pengaruh Self Control dan Self regulated Learning terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas VIIsebanyak 45 siswa di SMP Attaqwa kabupaten Bekasi. Uji klasik yang dipakai, Uji Normalitas,Heterokdiasitas,uji t dan UJi regresi berganda dengan memakai program SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa.ada pengaruh Self control terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia, ada pengaruh Self regulated earning terhada hasil belajar siswa dan ada pengaruh Self Control dan Self regulated Learning secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa.Kata Kunci : Self Control , Self regulated Learning,hasil belajar siswaThe role of teachers and parents, is very important in the success of student learning. But students often get constraints, both external and internal constraints. Psychological approach is very important in overcoming these obstacles. Among Self Control and Self regulated Learning. This study aims to see whether there is influence of Self Control and Self regulated Learning to the results of learning Indonesian language in the seventh graders of 45 students in SMP Attaqwa Bekasi district. Classical test used, Normality Test, Heterokdiasitas, t test and multiple regression test using SPSS 20. The results showed that there is influence of Self control on learning result of Indonesian language, there is influence Self regulated earning to student learning result and there influence of Self Control and Self regulated Learning together towards the learning result of Indonesian students.Key Words : Self Control, self regulated and the result of students learning

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with rich natural resources. Has great economic potential, with abundant natural wealth, a large population and a need for a large youth workforce. But the reality of unemployment in Indonesia becomes a difficult problem. Various efforts have been made by the government, among others by providing science in the field of entrepreneurship, especially in school institutions, namely in Vocational High School. There are various factors that influence entrepreneurship interest, such as social environment and entrepreneurship education. Interest in entrepreneurship will prepare students to become more people to be more diligent to seek and take advantage of existing business opportunities. Research method in this research is descriptive statistical analysis method. Based on the results of research that students who have interest to entrepreneurship in the field of fashion there are as many as 4 students, interest in culinary there are 10 students, then who have interest in the field of photography there are about 1 student. There are about 9 students have an interest in entrepreneurship in the field of trade. There are 5 students who have business interests in the field of technology. Only 1 student has another interest in entrepreneurship.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to investigate the forms of questions in English and Indonesian in order to identify the similarities and differences between them. CA may look at linguistic structures in a twofold way: predictability power and wash back effect (Cheng, Watanabe Curtis, 2004). The former deals with foreseeing the areas of problems the English learners may commit and the latter refers to the effect of diagnostic value of CA on improvement of teaching processes. In this case, the researcher emphasizes her study in analyzing CA based on the first perspective; this study focuses on interrogative sentences which are in the form of questions which play an important role in learning English among Indonesian junior high school students. This study has found the differences and similarities between Indonesian and English. Recognizing this will contribute to the accuracy of English questions made by the students

Abstract

The process of communication in literature appreciation learning willbe more effective if supported by the media. One of the development media for students is comics. The objection of this study is to develop and produce a fairy tale comic and to know the results of comic product so it proper to be used as a medium of literature appreciationlearning. This type of research is Research and Development (R D), adapt from the Warsito's development model. Determination of proper level of comic media is based on validation test of experts and student test through questionnaire and questioning test.The result of the teaching materials done by material experts showed the properity of 85% and the media expert of 87,5%. Both experts indicate that the media is valid and ready to be implemented. The results of the test to the students show the properity of 92,50% and stated as valid. Student learning outcomes  after showing the use of teaching materials has a value of 85,22 and can support the properity of teaching materials after tested to students without the need to be revised.Keywords: comic media ,fairy tale, and  reading skills. The process of communication in literature appreciation learning willbe more effective if supported by the media. Abstract

Program sertifikasi guru merupakan upaya peningkatan kesejahteraan guru republik Indonesia yang digulirkan pemerintah beberapa tahun yang lalu dan tahun 2014 diharapkan telah selesai dilaksanakan secara nasional. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia. Namun apakah hal itu benar-benar berdampak positif terhadap kualitas pendidikan di Ponorogo, maka peneliti tertarik untuk mengkaji lebih mendalam tentang kompetensi SDM guru dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Kabupaten Ponorogo. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi SDM guru dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Kabupaten Ponorogo.Lokasi penelitian di Kabupaten Ponorogo dengan obyek utamana adalah guru-guru tersertifikasi dampaknya terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Sumber data diperoleh dari kepala sekolah, pengawas, stakeholders, wali murid, guru, dan tokoh yang dianggap mengerti tentang masalah ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui analisis domain, taksonomi, komponensial, dan tema. Keabsahan data dilakukan melalui model triangulasi data.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Rata-rata kompetensi (personal, pedagogik, profesional, sosial) guru tersertifikasi dapat dikategorikan baik untuk sekolah unggulan. Sedangkan sekolah non unggulan kategorinya cukup. Perbedaan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor SDM guru, manajemen dukungan sekolah, ketersediaan sarana-prasarana pembelajaran di sekolah; Sertifikasi guru tidak secara otomatis dan instan dapat meningkatkan mutu lulusan. Akan tetapi melalui proses pembelajaran yang baik diyakini akan dapat meningkatkan mutu lulusan.Upaya pemerintah terkait peningkatan kompetensi guru tersertifikasi belum terencana dengan baik, karena yang ada baru dalam bentuk pengenadalian kewajiban administrasi guru. Monitoring atas guru tersertifikasi belum berjalan efektif dan optimal. Dukungan sekolah stakeholder terhadap optimalisasi guru tersertifikasi secara umum belum maksimal. Motivasi guru tersertifikasi bentuknya bersifat eksternal dan belum menjadi kesadaran pribadi.
