Abstract

Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pondok pesantren dan sekolah Islam di Indonesia, memiliki peran besar dalam menghadirkan perdamaian kehidupan, serta mengembalikan semangat sebagaimana yang terjadi pada awal sejarah Islam di Jawa abad ke-15 dan ke-16, yang diprakarsai oleh Syekh Maulana Malik Ibrahim (Tahun 1419 M di Jawa Timur). Dalam fokus penelitian ini, menunjukkan bahwa pondok pesantren merupakan lembaga sosial yang mampu berinteraksi dalam perubahan sosial dan politik, di dalamnya juga terdapat pengajaran dan pendidikan. Selain itu, juga dibahas tentang hal yang berkaitan dengan respon pondok pesantren dan sekolah Islam di Indonesia, dalam menghadapi era keterbukaan pasar bebas di tingkat ASEAN. Dalam hal ini, perlu sikap moderat, langkah antisipatif dalam hal ekonomi global, serta mampu mengambil posisi dalam isu-isu yang berkembang dalam kehidupan masyarakat, mampu mandiri serta berani melakukan penolakan dan protes. Peran pondok pesantren dan sekolah Islam, dalam menyampaikan pesan perdamaian di dunia, harus mengedepankan kebenaran, serta selalu mendidik manusia, serta membimbing mereka ke jalan yang benar. Itu semua merupakan bentuk antisipasi dari segala gangguan, hawa nafsu dan kejahatan, serta menolak segala hal yang syubhat. Itu semua merupakan solusi atas semua masalah tersebut, menjadi nasihat di dalamnya, serta bisa mengarahkan kepada jalan keselamatan.

Abstract

Prof. Dr. ‘Aishah ‘Abdurrahman was more known by Bint al-Shati. She was the first woman interpreter in islamic world who lived in contemporary era—for the moment, she could be called the only one woman interpreter from the last generation of islamic reformer in Egypt—by publishing Magnum Opus that called by at-Tafsir al-Bayani li al-Qur’an al-Karim. Time after time, Bint Shati was coronated as an expert of moral/ethics by some institutions; Egypt government (1978), Kuwait government (1988), and The King Faishal (1994). She was a special woman figure, and she was productive in writing. There are about 40 titles which was written by her, especially in Qur’an.

Abstract

Kitab Barzanji atau nama sebenarnya Iqd al-Jauhar fi Maulid al-Nabiy al-Azhar yang menjadi warisan kesenian Arab diamalkan di Tanah Melayu dikritik dan dikecam kerana menukilkan cerita sirah Nabawiyyah yang lemah sumber kesahihannya. Semenjak bermulanya penulisan dalam tamadun bangsa Arab pada kurun ke-2H, cerita sirah Nabawiyyah yang dinukilkan sejarawan Arab sehingga sekarang adalah maklumat dan cerita yang  hampir sama dinukilkan oleh pengarang Kitab Barzanji. Selaras dengan fakta tersebut, artikel  ini cuba menjelaskan metodologi sejarawan Arab dalam menentukan kesahihan sesuatu maklumat dan berita yang diterima khususnya cerita sirah Nabawiyyah. Artikel ini juga cuba menjelaskan metodologi penulisan persejarahan dalam kalangan sejarawan Arab di awal kurun ke-2H. Daripada sumber premier persejarahan bangsa Arab dan juga sumber sekunder yang digunakan, hasilan penyelidikan ini menjelaskan bahawa Kitab Barzanji atau  Iqd al-Jauhar fi Maulid al-Nabiy al-Azhar mengunakan metodologi al-istifdhah (kemasyhuran)  selepas al-Quran dan Sunnah yang sahih dalam menentukan kesahihan sesuatu maklumat dan cerita  yang sukar dinilai kesahihannya. Dapatan juga menunjukkan bahawa sejarawan Arab di awal kurun ke-2H menggunakan metodologi al-Tasahul (kelonggaran) dalam penulisan maklumat dan cerita persejarahan  yang sukar dinilai kesahihannya. Terutamanya maklumat dan cerita yang tidak menyentuh persoalan aqidah.

Abstract

Aisyah has more abilities in qur’anic interpretation (tafsir), prophetic traditional (hadits), theology, faith, fiqh, history, genealogy, Arabic poem and medical. But, Aisyah was known more in hadits. She was placed in fourth level of seven friends (sahabat) who explain about hadits. Aisyah could explain 2.210 hadits. It shows that Aisyah was a figure who had more intelligence and amazing understanding. One of The biggest of social services from Aisyah, especially for woman, was Umm ad-Darda.

Abstract

This study focuses on student preference for Islamic Subjects contained in the Compulsory Courses Institute at IAIN Surakarta. By using conjoint analysis maps the research institute of the compulsory subjects of the most favored by students and the dominant factor underlying these preferences. The study was conducted on 584 students were selected by stratified random sampling of 8377 active students IAIN Surakarta. Collecting data using the card preference which is based on combination approach full profile attributes of subjects and reasons for choosing subjects.The study concluded that students assume Subjects Sejarah Peradaban Islam as a compulsory subject institute the most preferred with the attribute values of 26.71% and Metodologi Studi Islam became the most disliked by the attribute value 19.18%. While the dominant factor influencing the preference of students to institute compulsory subjects are used instructional media lecturer and desirability level of 22.01%, the quality factor of teaching faculty is the second reason of 21.50%, the lecture method used lecturer at 20.69% , materials and teaching materials are delivered to 18.56%, while 17.24% of the lecture time.

Abstract

Empowering the poor is the responsibility of all members of society, not just the government. Muslims, as the majority in Indonesia, should play a significant role in poverty alleviation. Zakat, infak and sedekah (ZIS), in the teachings of Islam, is not just worship because, if managed properly, it can be a solution to poverty. To date, the management of ZIS as a mechanism for change in society has not been optimal due to various factors, one of which is a poor management model. Therefore, this article presents a model of empowerment of the poor based on social responsibility with the integration of Islamic values. This article is based on research conducted at Yayasan Solo Peduli Umat. The research data are obtained from the managers of Solo Peduli, beneficiaries and other parties involved. The results of this study indicate that the integration of Islamic values with the concept of social responsibility can maximize the empowerment of the poor. An empowerment model is created to increase the number of entrepreneurs who diligently worship and have noble morality (akhlaqul karimah), increase the independence and welfare of the poor, ensure the continuity of network-based businesses between musthik and muzaki/ donatur, and provide sustainable donations to be used as capital for social transformation

Abstract

Insan kamil (the perfect human) is the most ideal concept in achieving the best quality of human being in all its dimensions. The extent of media influence on the knowledge, attitude, mental, and spiritual quality of human being is not something that needs to be debated again. Television with its capacity has the same great potential as a driving force or a barrier at the same time for the development of human quality. A growing phenomenon about the content of television in Indonesia is increasingly revealing the colors of mourning in its massive dissemination. The composition of the broadcast is full with entertainment which is ranging from the telenovela, infotainment, reality show, charity show, comedy, crime to other news are very far from the role of educating. Thus, where are broadcasting program rules that must contain 70% of the educative elements? Even an impressed classy broadcasting program such as talk show which is hosted by an “educated person” have not been off completely from the framing of the media. This paper seeks to offer a media literacy concept in response to these problems. Media literacy is an ability to access, understand, analyze, evaluate, and producing media information in a variety of contexts. This is intended so that the community can afford to be critical and creative, not merely subject to exploitation by the media but make them explore and have media skilled.

Abstract

هذه الرسالة تدرس عن منهج الأشعري الكلامي على أساس القضايا الكلامية الموجودة فى كتابه الإبانة عن أصول الديانة المعتبر آخر كتابه. ومنهجه المتميز عن الفرق الكلامية يتهمه المعتزلة الجديدة أنه لا يحترم العقل حتى لا تنتج العلوم الكونية ، فيجب على تجديد علم الكلام المرتكز بحثه فى الإنسانية.وكان منهج الأشعري ينقسم إل المنهج النقلي و المنهج العقلي، ينحصر المنهج النقلي فى المأثور و الظاهر و العام و الخاص وأما المنهج العقلي يجري على التأويل و المقارنة و القياس. وعلى سبيل العام كان منهجه فى معظم القضايا يسلك منهج السلف بالتأييد بدليل العقل ردا على القائل أنه صاحب وسط.ولا بد لهذا المنهج أن يكون مبدأ التثبت فى تقرير العقدية لأنه متصف بالسمحة والمعقول مع مراعاة أصول التفسير الصحيحة التى قام بها مثل الأخذ بالنصوص؛ والأخذ بظواهرها فى الآيات و الأحاديث المتوهمة للتشبيه من غير أن يقع فى التشبيه؛ تقديم الشرع على العقل؛ الإيمان بما جاء عن الله و رسوله غير موقفه على الفهم و الإدراك مطلق؛ وكان فى المنهج والمذهب مجتهدا فى أن لا يقع فيما وقع فيه كثير من المنحرفين.

Abstract

Al-Ghazali is a ulama who has more interest in knowledge, has more accurate and polemic arguments, and has more abilities in syntheses of impossible thing to correlated. It can be looked how al-Ghazali’s concept has role more important in Islamic boarding school of Indonesia, especially in fiqh, philosophy, Kalam and Sufism (tasauf). Even if al-Ghazali was just known in Islamic boarding school by Ihya’ Ulum ad-Din, but it was an encyclopedic and giving more explanations about Islamic knowledge, so the influences of al-Ghazali’s concept of this book (ihya’ ulum ad-Din) can be felt outside tasauf. This journal use content analyzing method, especially al-Ghazali’s book in detail of fiqh such as; al-Basith, al-Wasith, al-Wajiz and al-Khulashah. And also in principle of fiqh, such as; al-Mankhul and al-Mustashfa. Besides that, al-Ghazali wrote about philosophy which called by Maqasid al-Falasifah, Tahafut al-Falasifah and al-Munqidz min adh-Dhalal. In Kalam, al-Ghazali wrote some books; al-Iqtishad fi al-I’tiqad and Iljam al-‘Awwam ‘an ‘ilm al-Kalam. One of his monumental book in tasawuf is Ihya’ ‘Ulum ad-Din.

Abstract

Dakwah (preaching) through writing can make scholars immortal. In addition to preach orally, Muslim scholars in this regard kiai of Islamic boarding school, should also be able to preach through writing. Doing these two methods could be considered as the perfect preaching of kiai. In terms of preaching through writing, kiai not only had to write a book, as classical scholars did. Nowadays, kiai should be able to do preach through mass communication media, such as writing in the magazine. This paper finds out that mostly the papers magazine of kiai are in accordance with the capacity of knowledge and interests for its readers (Santri-santriwati). Surely, there are some reasons for delight readers on the writings of kiai in magazines. One of them was due to see capacity knowledge of kiai. As for their internal motivations, can add their new knowledge by reading the writings of kiai in magazines. Even, it turns out that the writings of kiai also give influence to its readers, such as can motivate them to become authors.
