Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design a selection system for the journals subscribed by Petra Christian University Library. The designed selection system takes into account both technical and economical criteria. In applying the Multi Criteria Analysis in this research, a Multi Atribute Decision Making, that is the Analytic Hierarchy Process technique, is used. The total amount produced later becomes the objective function coefficient from the Binary Integer Linear Programming model with the constraints of the total available budget of the jurnal acquisition. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk merancang suatu sistem seleksi jurnal yang akan dilanggan oleh perpustakaan Universitas Kristen Petra. Sistem seleksi yang dirancang memperhitungkan baik kriteria-kriteria teknis maupun ekonomis. Dalam melakukan analisis kriteria ganda ini digunakan suatu teknik Multi Atribute Decision Making, yaitu : teknik AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). Bobot keseluruhan yang dihasilkan selanjutnya menjadi koefisien fungsi tujuan dari model Binary Integer Linear Programming dengan kendala jumlah anggaran pengadaan jurnal yang tersedia. Abstract

The determination of the price should meet certain criteria, both from the society and the company itself. The combination of various criteria will result in another problem. Fuzzy Logic covers all influencing factors and displays the membership function graphic. Furthermore, by implementing fuzzy rules and fuzzy operator, the right price can be determined which covers all the factors above. The determination of the rules is based on the raw material cost, direct labor cost, distribution cost and the customers' opinion regarding the appropriate price. Then, the model is designed with the help of Matlab software. The result is finally obtained in the form of a model performed by Matlab software. The model displays the output concerning the selling price of the product for each change in the dominant factors.

Abstract

The selecting of the right maintenance system strategy can give an optimum result in achieving productivity of a production process. The right method is needed in choosing this strategy, so that the decision-maker can make the right decision. Methods used in the selecting of the maintenance system strategy is Multi Criteria Decision-Making, especially Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and Heuristic Method. Heuristic method is used to decide the most critical criteria in the choosing of processing system strategy. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Pemilihan strategi sistem perawatan yang tepat dapat memberikan hasil yang optimum dalam pencapaian produktivitas suatu proses produksi. Didalam pemilihan strategi ini diperlukan suatu metode yang tepat agar decision maker dapat membuat keputusan yang tepat. Abstract

Attribute control charts especially p charts have been used widely for statistical process of attribute characteristics. In many applications, however it is neither possible nor practical to obtain sufficient subgroups to estimate accurately the control limits for the conventional p chart. This may occur when the production process is characterized as being a short run. One short run situation is a production run which produces items in a short period of time. In this article we describe the standardized p chart that the beyond control limit probabilities of proposed chart are closer to 0.135% Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Peta kendali atribut khususnya peta kendali p banyak digunakan untuk mengendalikan proses yang berkarakteristik atribut. Pada penerapannya proses produksi yang membutuhkan waktu relatif pendek mengakibatkan subgrup yang diperoleh terbatas jumlahnya, sehingga peta kendali p yang terbentuk tak memungkinkan untuk dianalisa. Abstract

Two mathematical model of inventories are analised. The aim of these models are minimizing the total cost of inventories on a company and its distributor. The first mathematical model is IDQ (Identical Delivery Quantity) model, i.e. the amount of delivery to distributor is identically for every replenishment. The second one is DWP (Delivery What is Produced) model, i.e. the amount of delivery to distributor is not identically for every replenishmen, all of distributor's inventories are supplied to distributor. Both of these models, handling the coorporation of inventory control between company and one distributor. At the end of this paper, will be showed a numerical example and from it will be analized in which situations one of these models is the best. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Dua buah model matematis persediaan terintegrasi dianalisis. Kedua model bertujuan untuk meminimumkan total biaya persediaan dari sebuah perusahaan dan distributornya yang saling terkoordinasi dan bekerjasama. Model matematis tersebut adalah model IDQ (Identical Delivery Quantity), jumlah pengiriman produk kepada distributor adalah sama pada setiap pengiriman, dan kedua adalah model DWP (Delivery What is Produced), jumlah pengiriman kepada distributor adalah bervariasi pada setiap pengiriman, yaitu semua persediaan yang tersedia pada perusahaan saat itu dikirim ke distributor. Pada bagian akhir dari makalah ini akan ditampilkan sebuah contoh numeris, yang daripadanya akan diperlihatkan dalam keadan bagaimana sebaiknya satu diantara kedua model dipilih. Abstract

The use and application of quality tools and techniques as means for improving quality and performance in an organization has been widely known since people saw the success of their applications at Japanese firms. It is interesting to note that those quality tools and techniques are simple and most of them do not require highly formal educational background to use them. Ironically, instead of their simplicity experience has shown that many companies have failed in gaining benefits when trying to use those tools. Those failures are mainly because managers do not realize that the value of the tool is derived from the conditions of use. If the environment does not provide a set of conditions in which it is rational and beneficial to use the tool, then it will not be seen as having value and will not be used. This paper will briefly discuss several important aspects and factors which need attention as prerequisites for the use of quality tools and techniques so they can produce real, maximum and long term benefits. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Penggunaan alat dan teknik kualitas sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kinerja perusahaan telah dikenal secara luas sejak orang melihat keberhasilan penerapannya perusahaan-perusahaan di Jepang. Yang menarik adalah bahwa alat dan teknik kualitas tersebut adalah sesuatu yang sederhana dan kebanyakan tidak memerlukan latar belakang pendidikan formal yang tinggi untuk dapat menggunakannya. Ironisnya adalah di balik kesederhanaan alat-alat tersebut pengalaman menunjukkan bahwa banyak perusahaan telah gagal untuk mendapatkan manfaat ketika mereka mencoba menggunakan alat-alat tersebut. Kegagalan ini terutama disebabkan karena para manajer tidak menyadari bahwa manfaat dari alat-alat tersebut bergantung pada kondisi pemakaiannya. Bila lingkungan tidak berada pada kondisi yang rasional dan menguntungkan bagi penggunaan alat tersebut, maka tidak akan pernah terlihat hasil yang nyata dari penggunaan alat-alat tersebut Tulisan ini akan membahas secara singkat beberapa aspek dan faktor penting yang perlu diperhatikan sebagai prasyarat penggunaan alat dan teknik kualitas agar menghasilkan manfaat yang nyata, maksimal dan berdampak untuk jangka panjang. Abstract

In practice, the certainess assumption for parameters in linear programming are difficult to pullfiled. The uncertainties are sometimes coming from subjective and intuitive policies. To solve and accommodate these problems, will be approximated by fuzzy set theory. In this article, modeling of linear programming with fuzzy set will be discussed, followed by two cases with membership function are trapezoidal and triangular. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Asumsi kepastian nilai-nilai parameter, dalam pengambilan keputusan yang dimodelkan dengan programa linier, dalam praktek sering sulit dipenuhi. Ketidakpastian yang muncul kadang diakibatkan oleh suatu kebijakan yang intuitif dan subjektif. Untuk memecahkan dan mengakomodasi ketidakpastian seperti tersebut, akan didekati dengan teori himpunan fuzzy. Dalam makalah ini, pemodelan programa linier dengan teori himpunan fuzzy tersebut, akan didiskusikan dengan dua kasus, masing-masing dengan menggunakan fungsi keanggotaan linier, yaitu trapezoida dan triangular. Kata kunci: programa linier, himpunan fuzzy.
