Abstract

In this paper we discuss some models for estimating the regression function, provided the data Y is given. The programming of these function are presented as well as the "tricks" in the R- programming, a statistical freeware. We applied these models to The Priest River Experimental Forest's data. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Dalam paper ini akan diberikan beberapa model untuk mengestimasi fungsi regresi bila sebuah data Y diberikan. Pembuatan fungsi - fungsi estimasti tersebut juga diberikan dengan menggunakan freeware statistik R dan juga diberikan beberapa trik dalam pemrograman. Model-model ini diaplikasikan pada Priest River Experimental Forest's data. Kata kunci: regresi nonparametrik, smoothing, kernel, R.

Abstract

Linear Programming Model consists of one objective function and at least one constraint. The parameters in the objective function are called objective function coefficients. Objective function coefficients represent the contribution of one unit of its corresponding decision variable to the objective function value. The exist objective function as well as its constraints in the linear programming model are characterized as crisp. Such assumptions are often considered as unrealistic. This research models and solves the Linear Programming Model in the case where objective function coefficients are in the form of triangular fuzzy number and the constraints are fuzzy as well. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Model Pemrograman Linear (MPL) memiliki sebuah fungsi objektif dan satu atau lebih kendala. Pada fungsi objektif terdapat parameter yang disebut koefisien fungsi objektif (objective function coefficients). Koefisien fungsi objektif menggambarkan kontribusi satu satuan variabel keputusan terhadap nilai fungsi objektif. Koefisien fungsi objektif yang selama ini dikenal dalam pembahasan MPL bersifat tegas (crisp)., demikian pula dengan kendala. Tulisan ini membahas suatu pendekatan terhadap perumusan dan penyelesaian MPL dalam hal koefisien fungsi objektifnya berbentuk bilangan kabur segitiga (triangular fuzzy number) dan kendalanyapun bersifat kabur. Kata kunci: model pemrograman linear, parameter pemrograman linear, bilangan kabur, koefisien fungsi objektif, bilangan kabur segitiga, kendala kabur.

Abstract

A Wheelbarrow is one of manual material handling equipments%2C which often used by many people. From survey%2C there are some problems faced by users%2C e.g.%2C high energy expenditure and risk of injuries. To avoid those particular risks in using a wheelbarrow%2C analysis of factors that affect this energy expenditure and risk of injuries will be needed. An experiment based on Taguchi method has been conducted to achieve the optimum combination of factors that increase energy expenditure rate and decrease the energy expenditure variance. The analysis of body posture shows that the best posture in using a wheelbarrow is when the straight arm in line with vertebrae. The analysis of subjective complaints shos that palm of hands%2C arms%2C shoulders%2C elbows and wrists are the most possible parts of body having risk injuries. Based on these information and analysis%2C a good wheelbarrow is a wheelbarrow that has the distance of man support and wheel axis smaller than 110 cm. The propose design of a new wheelbarrow has these following properties. The horizontal distance beetween weight point an wheel axis is smaller than 26.53 cm%2C the vertical distance beetween weight point and wheel axis is smaller than 32.37 cm and the weight point is stabil at (-13.22 cm ; 14.37 cm) based on the reference point. Moreover%2C it has a feature than can decrease wheelbarrow speed in descend way and decrease the effect of vibrations as well%2C the net weight is smaller than 21%2C6 kg and the support of wheelbarrow is lower than 32.5 cm. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Wheelbarrow merupakan salah satu alat manual material handling yang banyak digunakan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penentuan karakterisik wheelbarrow yang baik yang telah memper¬timbangkan faktor yang paling mempengaruhi konsumsi energi dan kemungkinan cedera untuk mengetahui prioritas perbaikan. Eksperimen dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Taguchi. Dari analisis posisi tubuh diketahui bahwa posisi tubuh paling baik saat pengangkatan adalah posisi tubuh lurus dengan lengan sejajar tulang belakang. Berdasarkan kuesioner diketahui bahwa keluhan terbanyak responden adalah pada telapak tangan%2C lengan%2C bahu%2C siku dan pergelangan tangan. Berdasarkan informasi-informasi tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa wheelbarrow yang baik adalah wheelbarrow mempunyai jarak antara tumpuan manusia dengan poros roda yang lebih panjang dari 110 cm%2C mempunyai jarak horizontal titik berat beban terhadap poros yang lebih kecil dari 26%2C53 cm%2C mempunyai jarak vertikal titik berat beban terhadap poros yang lebih kecil dari 32%2C37 cm%2C mempunyai titik berat beban yang stabil (tetap pada (-13%2C22 cm ; 14%2C37 cm) terhadap titik acuan)%2C mempunyai fitur yang dapat mengurangi kecepatan wheelbarrow di jalan menurun%2C mempunyai fitur yang dapat meredam getaran%2C mempunyai berat bersih wheelbarrow yang lebih ringan dari 21%2C6 kg%2C mempunyai tinggi kaki penyangga yang lebih rendah dari 32%2C5 cm. wheelbarrow%2C energy expenditure%2C risk of injuries%2C taguchi methods.

Abstract

In this paper, plant layouts is designed by considering the influence of the environment, i.e., the variability of demand. It also considers the new Total of Material Handling Cost (TMHC), which captures the inventory carrying costs. Moreover, the comparison between the distributed and the modular layout performance is presented. Those two types of layout are called as the next generation layout. It shows that the modular layout, which is done by using graph theory, i.e., modified Hamiltonian chain, gives flexibility as good as the distributed layout. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Dalam makalah akan dipaparkan suatu rancangan tata letak yang memperhatikan pengaruh dari lingkungan berupa permintaan yang selalu berubah dari waktu ke waktu. Selain itu digunakan juga ukuran Ongkos Material Handling (OMH) yang baru dengan mengakomodasi ongkos simpan selama penanganan bahan. Selanjutnya diberikan juga perbandingan performansi antar tata letak generasi baru, yaitu tata letak terdistribusi dan tata letak modular. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tata letak modular dengan menggunakan teori graph, yaitu rantai Hamilton yang dimodifikasi, dapat dikatakan sama fleksibelnya dengan tata letak terdistribusi. Abstract

In this research, Worker Performance Appraisal System has been conducted in the Public Worker Council Probolinggo. This research especially conducted in the Sub Public Worker for Low Level Workers, i.e. Contract Workers. So far incentive in this institution was not given based on their performance, but based on the community agreement. Therefore, the worker performance appraisal system was designed based on the competency, namely the Spencer competency. For that purpose the Spencer appraisal Dimension has been integrated to DP3 (Daftar Penilaian Pelaksanaan Pekerjaan) and to the Competencies for the Executive Leadership Development. The results on those criterias were processed using the Expert Choice Software. The weight for the managerial skill is 0.200 and for the technical one is 0.800. Type of managerial skill is indicated by the competency criteria, i.e, discipline, serving, achievement, proactive and commitment to organization. The weights of each criterion are 0.318, 0.289, 0.151, 0.140, 0.102, respectively. On the other hand, Technical skills indicated by competency criteria are leadership and cooperation. Their weights are 0.500, 0.500, respectively. It can be concluded that, the accurate incentive system is an insentive system, based on profit share. This share is given according to the performance appraisal of each worker. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Penelitian ini membahas tentang sistem penilaian kinerja karyawan yang dilakukan di Dinas Pekerjaan Umum Kota Probolinggo, khususnya Sub Dinas Pengairan untuk karyawan level bawah (karyawan kontrak). Selama ini pemberian insentif di Sub Dinas tersebut tidak didasarkan atas kinerja karyawan tetapi atas dasar kebersamaan/ gotong royong. Untuk meningkatkannya dirancang sistem penilaian kinerja karyawan berbasis kompetensi, khususnya kompetensi Spencer. Dimensi penilaian Spencer diintegrasikan dengan DP3 dan Competencies for Executive Leadership Development. Kriteria diolah dengan Software Expert Choice. Hasilnya bobot kemampuan karyawan kontrak terbagi atas: kemampuan manajerial (0.200) dan kemampuan teknik (0.800). Kemampuan manajerial terdiri dari: disiplin (0.318), melayani (0.289), berprestasi (0.151), proaktif (0.140), dan komitmen pada organisasi (0.102). Sedangkan kemampuan teknis terdiri dari: memimpin (0.500) dan kerjasama (0.500). Dari penelitian tersebut sistem insentif yang tepat adalah sistem insentif pembagian laba, dimana insentif yang diterima berdasarkan pada peningkatan kinerja karyawan. Kata kunci: penilaian kinerja karyawan, kompetensi, insentif, analytical hierarchy process.

Abstract

The Bootstrap is a lively research area. A lot Of ideas are around and have let to quiet different proposals. In this paper we sketch briefly some Bootstrap methods for independent and dependent data. Finally we give an Bootstrap example for constructing confidence interval in the forecasting for stationer data. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Bootstrap merupakan area penelitian yang terus berkembang. Ada banyak ide dan proposal-proposal yang berbeda telah diberikan oleh para peneliti. Namun demikian, dalam makalah ini hanya akan diulas secara singkat beberapa metode Bootstrap untuk data independen maupun data dependen. Abstract

This paper proposes a hybridized concept of search engine based on subject parameter of High Accuracy Retrieval from Documents (HARD). Tf-Idf and Jaccard's Coefficient are modified and extended to providing the concept. Several illustrative examples are given including their steps of calculations in order to clearly understand the proposed concept and formulas. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Paper ini memperkenalkan suatu algorima search engine berdasarkan konsep HARD (High Accuracy Retrieval from Documents) dengan menggabungkan penggunaan metoda TF-IDF (Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency) dan Jaccard's Coefficient. Kedua metoda, TF-IDF dan Jaccard's Coefficient dimodifikasi dan dikembangkan dengan memperkenalkan beberapa rumusan baru. Untuk lebih memudahkan dalam mengerti algoritma dan rumusan baru yang diperkenalkan, beberapa contoh perhitungan diberikan. Kata kunci: HARD, Tf-Idf, koefisien Jaccard, search engine, himpunan fuzzy.

Abstract

Regression analysis is constructed for capturing the influences of independent variables to dependent ones. It can be done by looking at the relationship between those variables. This task of approximating the mean function can be done essentially in two ways. The quiet often use parametric approach is to assume that the mean curve has some prespecified functional forms. Alternatively, nonparametric approach, .i.e., without reference to a specific form, is used when there is no information of the regression function form (Haerdle, 1990). Therefore nonparametric approach has more flexibilities than the parametric one. The aim of this research is to find the best fit model that captures relationship between admission test score to the GPA. This particular data was taken from the Department of Design Communication and Visual, Petra Christian University, Surabaya for year 1999. Those two approaches were used here. In the parametric approach, we use simple linear, quadric cubic regression, and in the nonparametric ones, we use B-Spline and Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines (MARS). Overall, the best model was chosen based on the maximum determinant coefficient. However, for MARS, the best model was chosen based on the GCV, minimum MSE, maximum determinant coefficient. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Analisa regresi digunakan untuk melihat pengaruh variabel independen terhadap variabel dependent dengan terlebih dulu melihat pola hubungan variabel tersebut. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan melalui dua pendekatan. Pendekatan yang paling umum dan seringkali digunakan adalah pendekatan parametrik. Pendekatan parametrik mengasumsikan bentuk model sudah ditentukan. Apabila tidak ada informasi apapun tentang bentuk dari fungsi regresi, maka pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan nonparametrik. (Haerdle, 1990). Karena pendekatan tidak tergantung pada asumsi bentuk kurva tertentu, sehingga memberikan fleksibelitas yang lebih besar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan model terbaik mengenai nilai ujian masuk terhadap nilai IPK (Indek Prestasi Kumulatif) mahasiswa jurusan Disain Komunikasi Visual tahun 1999 di Universitas Kristen Petra Surabaya dengan analisis regresi, baik parametrik maupun nonparametrik. Pendekatan regresi parametrik menggunakan regresi linear sederhana, kuadratik dan kubik, sedangkan regresi nonparametrik digunakan B-Spline dan Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines (MARS). Secara keseluruhan, model terbaik dipilih berdasarkan koefisien determinasi terbesar. Namun demikian untuk MARS, model terbaik dipilih berdasarkan pada GCV, minimum MSA dan koefisien determinasi terbesar. Kata kunci: regresi nonparametrik, B-Spline, MARS, koefisien determinasi.
