Abstract

The high massive transmission of COVID-19 occurs great numerous of mortality and morbidity. It is caused by low coverage of COVID-19 vaccinations that are continuously pursued by the Indonesian government. This can be identified by health promotion based on community self-efficacy as effective prevention of COVID-19 has not been fully implemented. Public understanding and perception of the prevention of COVID-19 are highly expected. Public confidence or known self-efficacy is needed in supporting COVID-19 vaccination.  This study aims to find out the relationship of community self-efficacy to COVID-19 vaccination at the Siak Hulu I Health Center in Kampar Regency in 2021. This was an analytic quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach to 209 participants which was taken by simple random sampling technique in Puskesmas Siak Hulu I. Based on the chi-square test result, it was found a relationship between self-efficacy and COVID-19 vaccination. The results showed that a person has a high self-efficacy greater than 5 times more vaccination than someone who has low self-efficacy. It is recommended to increase self-efficacy through good and easy-to-understand health communication about COVID-19 vaccination in the community.

Abstract

The rest of the eruption of Mount Merapi in Yogyakarta, was modified by the local community into a natural museum and managed to commemorate the terrible natural disaster that had occurred as a tourism commodity. The purpose of this study is to determine the security conditions and how the risk control has been carried out by Lava Tour tourist destinations. This research is a case study in a lava tour destination located at Mount Merapi which is still active in Yogyakarta D.I Province. Data were collected by observation using Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) sheets and the As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) concept, and also in-depth interviews. There were six informants who were selected purposively. The results of the identification of hazards in the Lava Tour area include rocky and sandy roads, close to cliffs, the Rest of My Treasure Museum which is in an unsafe condition. cliff fence, lack of warning signs. The safety risk assessment at Lava Tour tourist sites is two extreme risk, five high risk, and two moderate risk. Controls that have been carried out include briefings, signs, Standard Operation Procedures for driving, and personal protective equipment, First Aid training in Accidents and Emergency First Aid. The risk is still tolerable because tourism activities are opened based on the active status of Mount Merapi. Recommendations for control efforts are made by making handrails on stairs and providing boundaries for entry and exit for tourists, repairing cliff fences, diverting roads for tourist jeeps, increasing routine human resource training, public toilets and providing polyclinics.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease in the form of metabolic disorders characterized by blood sugar levels increase more than the normal threshold and is the top 10 cause of death globally. Ongoing DM care requires effective self-management education and support for patients and family members. The objective is to review family support interventions as a basic concept to improve people's self-management of diabetes. Using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis) method from three databases, PubMed, Google Scholar, and Scopus were reviewed for relevant articles. Results found that overall, family support had a positive impact on a healthy diet, increased perceived support, higher self-efficacy, improved psychological well-being, and better glycemic control. This systematic review found evidence that DSME with family support improves self-management behaviors and health outcomes among uncontrolled glycemic T2D patients. It is concluded demonstrating a DSME model that includes family involvement could be a useful direction for improving diabetes care.
