Abstract

Artikel ini di picu oleh penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Usman, mengenai analisis kepekaan beberapa metode pendugaan evapotranspirasi potensial terhadap perubahan iklim. Dalam penelitian tersebut menggunakan analisis diperoleh dari 5 stasiun klimatologi yang ada di Provinsi Jawa Barat, yaitu stasiun Ciledug, Cimanggu, Citeko dan Margahayu. Namun evapotranspirasi yang dikaji dalam artikel ini adalah mengenai evapotranspirasi potensial dengan metode Penman-Monteith menggunakan data klimatologi stasiun Dramaga. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses terjadinya, faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap evapotranspirasi, serta mngetahui pendekatan dari model-model penghitungan evapotranspirasi yang ada.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui  pengaruh  Sekam  Padi dan Pupuk Hantu terhadap pertumbuhan kacang Kedelai (Glycine max (L) Merril). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial yang terdiri 2 faktor, yaitu: 1. Faktor perlakuan Pupuk Hantu ( notasi N ), dengan tiga taraf perlakuan yaitu: N1 = 2cc/liter; N2 = 4cc/liter; N3 = 6cc/ liter; dan 2. Faktor perlakuan Sekam Padi ( notasi P ) dengan empat taraf perlakuan yaitu: P0 = 0 kg/plot; P1=  2 kg/plot; P2 = 4 kg/plot; P3 = 6 kg/plot. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Pemberian sekam padi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman kedelai yakni parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan jumlah cabang pada umur 2, 4, 6 MST, dan produksi kedelai yakni berat 1000 biji, produksi per tanaman sampel dan produksi perplot. 2) Pemberian pupuk Hantu tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman kedelai yakni parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan jumlah cabang pada umur 2, 4, 6 MST, dan produksi kedelai yakni berat 1000 biji, produksi per tanaman sampel, dan produksi perplot. 3) Interaksi pemberian sekam padi dan pupuk Hantu tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman kedelai yakni parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan jumlah cabang pada umur 2, 4, 6 MST, dan produksi tanaman yakni berat 1000 biji, produksi per tanaman sampel, dan produksi per plot.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki peluang untuk mengembangkan tanaman sayur-sayuran yang banyak bermanfaat bagi manusia. Sehingga ditinjau dari aspek klimatologis Indonesia sangat tepat untuk dikembangkan budidaya sayuran secara organik yaitu dengan memanfaatkan biomasa dari sisa-sisa tanaman berupa  “Biochar dan pupuk Bregadium”. Penelitian tentang pengaruh pemberian biochar dan pupuk bregadium terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman sawi hijau (brassica pekinensia L) dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Universitas Medan Area yang dimulai dari bulan Juli sampai bulan September 2013. Tujuan  penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian Biochar dan pupuk Bregadium Nutritions Gel UX-88 yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman sawi hijau. Percobaan ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 9 kombinasi perlakuan dan di ulang sebanyak 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan Pemberian biochar memberikan pengaruh yang nyata untuk parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, tanaman sampel, berat tanaman per plot untuk parameter berat akar tanaman sampel dan berat akar tanaman per plot menunjukan tidak berbeda nyata , sedangkan untuk Pemberian pupuk cair bregadium memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata untuk semua parameter yang diamati tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, tanaman sampel, berat tanaman per plot,berat akar tanaman sampel dan berat akar tanaman per plot.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair urine kambing yang tepat terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung manis. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) non faktorial yang teridiri dari 5 perlakuan yaitu P0 = 0 %, P1= 5 %, P2= 10 %, P3= 15 % dan P4= 20 %. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman (cm), diameter batang (mm), jumlah daun (helai), bobot tongkol berkelobot per plot (g), bobot tongkol berkelobot per tanaman (g), bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot (g), diameter tongkol (g), persentase panjang tongkol berisi (%) dan produksi tongkol berkelobot per hektar (ton). Dari hasil yang telah didapat, diketahui bahwa pemberian berbagai konsentrasi pupuk organik cair urine kambing berpengaruh nyata meningkatkan tinggi tanaman (cm), diameter batang (mm), bobot tongkol berkelobot per plot (g), bobot tongkol berkelobot per tanaman (g), bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot (g), diameter tongkol (mm) dan produksi tongkol berkelobot per hektar (ton). Pemberian berbagai konsentrasi pupuk organik cair urine kambing berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap jumlah daun (helai) dan persentase panjang tongkol berisi (%). Hasil terbaik untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman jagung manis adalah pada perlakuan P3 yaitu pada konsentrasi 15 % pupuk organik cair urine kambing.

Abstract

The Indonesian government has a vision to become the world's best sustainable palm oil producer with the aim of producing 40 million tons of palm oil in 2020 for food and for energy. The country must produce must double in the next 10 years. This condition raises black campaign from various parts of the world. Palm oil is a destroyer of the earth, but on the other hand the potential for food security in the world plays a very big role, especially for edible oil and energy.. This study aimed to determined the oil extraction rate in crude palm oil and minor components (tocol content and beta-carotene) at altitudes of 650 meters above sea level and 850 meters above sea level. This study used a completely non-factorial randomized design with parameters of unriped, riped and over riped. The results showed that the maturity level of oil palm fruit affected the oil extraction rate, beta-carotene, tocol content (tocopherol and tocotrienol) of crude palm oil produced at altitude of 650 meters above sea level and 850 meters above sea level. Riped fruit has high oil extraction rate, and the minor component were measured by tocol content and beta-carotene contained in crude palm oil.

Abstract

Global climate exchange especially rainfallspurs the growth of oil palm adapt to environmental conditions, so the development of oil palm plantations requires seeds that are able to adapt well in drought conditions.This study aims to determine whether water stress affects the growth of oil palm seedlings and sees the response of the level of resistance of oil palm seeds to drought stress.This research was carried out in the greenhouse garden experiment Medan STIPAP was conducted from January to June 2018. This study used Non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD), which consisted of 3 levels, 3 samples and 3 replications. Parameters to be observed were plant height, stem base diameter, leaf number, root wet weight, root dry weight, plant wet weight, plant dry weight, root volume, root length, stomatal density and number of stomata.The results showed that the difference in giving A1 water (100%) was significantly different from A2 (60%) and A3 (20%) on the parameters of oil palm seedling growth especially for the parameters of plant height, root wet weight, root dry weight, plant wet weight, plant dry weight, root volume, and root length while the base diameter of the stem, number of leaves, stomatal density and number of stomata give no significant effect. Drought stress effected to reduce the growth of stem diameter.

Abstract

The waste of tea powder is abundant and has not been widely used optimally. The alternative use is to use the waste as an additional medium or substitution for the white oyster mushroom growing media. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of mycelium growth and the production of the fruit of the white oyster mushroom on combination media / tea powder substitution with sawdust. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 replications. Combined treatments were M0 = 100% sawdust; M1 = 100% Tea waste powder; M2 = 75% tea powder + 25% sawdust; M3 = 50% tea powder + 50% sawdust and M4 = 25% tea powder + 75% sawdust. All treatments used the composition of the manufacture of mushroom growing media consisting of each combination of treatments, bran 10% by weight of the material and lime 0.5% by weight of the material. The parameters observed were the growth of white oyster mushroom mycelium, the rate of mycelium growth, the time the mycelium closed the substrate, the time of appearance of the fruiting body, the weight of the fruit body and the diameter of the fruit hood. The results showed that all parameters differed significantly. The best treatment is in treatment M4, followed by treatment of M3, M0 and M2.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the growth response and the production of cayenne pepper (Capsicum Frutescens L.) to the composting and biochar which is taken from the waste of bagasse, then compared with the growth response and the production of cayenne plant using inorganic fertilizer. The method used. The research was conducted in experimental garden of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Medan Area, located at No. Pond Street. 1 Medan Estate, Percut Sei Tuan District. The research method used Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK), with three replications, 12 combinations to obtain 36 plant plots of all combinations and replications. The first factor tested was Biochar bagasse ie Bo = without biochar, B1 = given Biochar 4 ton / ha and B2 = given Biochar 8 ton / ha. The second factor tested was compost of bagasse waste that is K0 = without compost of bagasse, K1 = composted 10 ton / ha, K2 = given 15 ton / ha and K3 = composted 20 ton / ha. The results showed that the influence of compost combination (K3 = 20 tons / ha) was more influential on all observation parameters compared to biocar with best combination of B2K3, B1K3 and B0K3. In general, this study showed that the addition of biochar of bagasse and kmpoos of bagasse in the cultivation media of cayenne pepper can increase the growth and production of pepper cayenne plants with more economical production cost.

Abstract

White Root Fungus Disease (JAP) is the biggest threat in rubber. The attack can result in a significant reduction in number, especially in plants lasting 0-3 years. The pathogen that causes white fungus is Rigidoporus lignosus. In JAP endemic areas, decreased tree density 40-50%. In rubber seedlings, symptoms of JAP attack with yellowing color leaves, then dry and fall. This study was conducted at STIP-AP Medan from January 2017 to June 2017. The aim of the study was to determine the effectiveness of several doses of hexaconazole. This study uses a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four replications. Hexaconazole fungicides are active with treatment of A0, A1, A2, A3 and A4 (0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 ml / l air). The results of this study indicate that A2 application of hexaconazole-active fungicides (10 ml / l air) has been effective in controlling JAP disease in rubber seedlings.

Abstract

In the Indonesian economy, the oil palm commodity plays a pretty bright role because it serves as a source of foreign exchange. The need to develop technology in producing superior seeds. In this study discuss about the Influence of Giving Fertilizer and Mikoriza Against the Growth of Palm Oil Plants (Elaeis guineensis jacq.) In Pre-Nursery Nursery. This study aims to determine the effect of manure and mycorrhizal fertilization as well as its interaction on the growth of coconut plants in pre-nursery nurseries. The study was designed by Factorial Randomized Block Design consisting of 2 treatment factors. The first factor of treatment of manure (K) consisting of 4 levels, namely: K0 = 0 kg / polybag, K1 = 0.15 kg / polybag, K2 = 0.30 kg / polybag, and K3 = 0.45 kg/polybag. The second factor of mycorrhizal treatment (M) consisting of 4 levels, namely: M1 = 12.5 g/polybag, M2 = 25.0 g/polybag, M3 = 37.5 g / polybag. The results showed that the treatment of cow manure up to 0.45 kg/polybag can increase the height of seedlings, stem diameter, total leaf area, wet weight of seedlings and dry weight of seedlings, but did not affect the number of oil palm seedlings.Mikoriza treatment up to 37, 5 g / polybags can increase seed height, stem diameter, total leaf area, wet weight of seedlings and dry weight of seedlings, but have no significant effect on the number of oil palm seedlings. The interaction between cow manure and mycorrhiza had no effect on all parameters observed.
