Abstract

Abstract: This paper discusses the discourse on gender equality which is a hot issue to date. This research uses the mubadalah approach (annoyance/cooperation) which was initiated by Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir as an analysis tool. In the meantime, this research is focused on answering how the interpretation of mubad is from the hadith which is the object of this research. From the discussion presented, this research concluded that the editorial hadith about women as genitals which was later understood as the theological basis for housing women was not appropriate, because the main idea of this hadith is not that of keeping the soul (Hifz Nafs), protecting the offspring (Hifz an-Nasl) and safeguarding property (Hifz al-Mal). Therefore, from the main idea of the above hadith, it is concluded that it is not only women who are recommended to guard these three things, men on the other hand are also charged with the same responsibility.

Abstract

Abstract: The case of intolerance between religious communities is still a sexy thing to study, considering that there are still many cases of intolerance between religious communities in Indonesia. One of the causes is the understanding of religious exclusivity and the lack of moderation of thought - especially in understanding the holy texts - in society. So here it becomes important to put forward the reasoning of moderation in viewing the verses of the holy book, in order to create good relations between religious communities. In the current era, online media has become a key media for spreading thoughts on understanding religiousness. This paper will discuss how the moderation makes sense regarding the relationship between religious communities in one of the most influential interpretation sites, namely tafsiralquran.id. The selection of the site was due, first, to the emphasis on the contextuality aspect of the tafsiralquran.id site content. So that it always follows developing issues, especially in Indonesia. Second, tafsiralquran.id is one of the websites that focuses its content on the activities of interpreting the al-Qur'an, which is rarely found in other websites which mostly discuss the interpretation of the al-Qur'an only on a particular theme or topic. The results of this study conclude that the inter-religious conception of moderation is described in seven dimensions of religious moderation which are equipped with indicators, namely; moderation in the aspects of theology, worship, muamalah, law, creation of man and the universe, government and culinary. The seven dimensions of moderation are highly relevant to the context of Indonesian society which is plural, heterogeneous and multiethnic.

Abstract

Abstract: A thing that makes a difference between intellectual traditions of pesantren and other education, namely the existence of sanad. In the perspective of Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauzy, sanad called exceeding the exotological linearity of Islamic knowledge which is called 'ilm al-jally. Moreover, Imam Syafi'i said that the people of Zindiq would preach on the pulpit if the knowledge was not memorized by the sanad in the book. And a famous aphorism Imam Abdullah bin Mubarak says, sanad is a part of religion, if without sanad the people will say whatever they want. The aim of this research is to find out, analyze and interpret the scientific genealogy and nationalism attitude of KH. Zaini Mun'im and KHR. As'ad Syamsul Arifin. This research used qualitative research method with the phenomenology approach and interpretation. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that in terms of the scientific sanad, the two kiai have a sense of continuity between the ulama '(teacher) with one another, so that based on this scientific sanad it shows that the articulation of Islamic teaching is very accountable in the context of Islamic teaching and the institutional development process in both pesantren continues dynamically by doing the transition from traditional pesantren to modern pesantren. and based on the religious nationalism attitude, it can be concluded that both of them have high enthusiasm in their patriotism by carrying out a multicultural mission.

Abstract

Abstract: This paper discus the discourse of religious harmony in Indonesia by looking into the role played by PKUB/FKUB, a state-sponsored body focused on maintaining religious harmony, in the context of interreligious dialogue agenda in Indonesia. By looking into its trajectory and legal standing, this paper hypothesizes that there are some limits within the PKUB/FKUB in addressing the spirit and practice of interreligious dialogue to the Indonesian public due to the preference of religious harmony rather than interreligious dialogue. This paper then wants to explore the preference of religious harmony by employing Godly-Nationalism/Productive Intolerance concept. The data of this paper is collected by library research methodology. Finally, this paper suggests that despite the discourse of religious harmony requires the religious community to engage in the dialogue, there is a different direction and objective to which the dialogue would lead. While the dialogue in the context of religious harmony would be directed to maintaining harmony itself, the interreligious dialogue as suggested by several scholars requires religious people to learn from others to change and grow together. Keywords: Interreligious Dialogue, Religious Harmony, PKUB, FKUB, Godly- Nationalism.

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses strategies to strengthen the global pandemic COVID-19 mitigation in Madura through the utilization of the local wisdom values of pesantren. There are three focus issues raised in this study, namely; COVID-19, the value of local wisdom, and finally pesantren. Using this type of qualitative research based on an analysis of sociological theory, this study found that the pesantren's social position as one of Madura's local wisdom values could actually be used as a strategy to strengthen the COVID-19 transmission and transmission control activities in Madura. The strengths and advantages of pesantren in strengthening COVID-19 mitigation in Madura can be seen from two things; First, pesantren is a popular traditional Islamic institution that is synonymous with magical power and charismatic clerical figures. With this, pesantren can be used as instruments to educate the public about the importance of complying with the health protocol regulations issued by the government; Secondly, pesantren have large and broad social capital, where the social capital is centered on three networks of power such as the kyai, santri, and aumni. In this regard, both the kyai, santri, and alumni, all three can be used to strengthen the COVID-19 control agenda in Madura, specifically to target some areas which have not been adequately addressed by formal policies. The involvement of pesantren and all their social networks such as kyai, santri, and alumni, besides being able to strengthen the COVID-19 mitigation agenda, can also realize an integral role control model by combining two approaches at once, namely structural approaches and value-based approaches of local wisdom.

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the preaching activities of Kiai on social media in the era of the Covid Pandemic 19. As is known, the presence of this pandemic has forced preachers from Islamic boarding schools to choose da'wah virtually. Kiai Ahmad Azaim, a caretaker of the Salafiyyah Islamic Boarding School Syafi'iyyah Ibrahimy Situbondo, East Java, is one of the Kiai who uses cyber media to carry out his preaching activities which were mostly carried out offline before the pandemic. This study argues that the virtual da'wah activism carried out by Kiai Azaim has implications for a shift in authority and at the same time the Kiai's popularity. Through the method of analyzing the assumptions of Kramer's religious authority, an interesting finding is obtained that in terms of opportunity, Kiai interprets cyber media as the right medium to reach wider congregations. In terms of strength, Kiai understands that the presence of cyber media will not affect the power of the pesantren media or traditional recitation. In terms of rights, Kiai considers that as long as the community continues to use them, their rights need to be fulfilled.
