Abstract

The purpose of this research is to 1) Knowing whether or not the influence of mastery of the concept of flat wake up to the ability to solve the problems of building the flat side space of students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kunjang, 2) Knowing there or not the influence of mastering the concept of algebra on the ability to solve the problems of building flatspace on the students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kunjang, 3) Knowing whether or not the influence of mastery of the concept of wake-up and algebraic concept of the ability to solve the problem of building the flat- side room of the class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kunjang. This is acomparative causal study. Members of the population of 218 students. Technique of sampling technique of random sampling. Samples were taken about 13% of the total population of 42 students. Technique of collecting data using test method and method of documentation. Data analysis technique using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis together obtained Fhitung of 78.929> Ftabel=3.24 and Asymp probability value. Sig0,0000<a(0.05). This means there is asignificant influence between the mastery of the concept of wake-up and algebraic concept of the ability to solve the problem of building flat side space with the coefficient of determination of . Partially, the mastery of the concept of wake up to the ability to solve the problem of building the flat side space is shown by the result ofttes to btained thitung=11,029>ttable =2.02 and Asymp probability value. Sig is 0,0000 <a(0,05) with coefficient of determination . Mastery of algebraic concept on the ability to solve the problem of building flat side space is shown by ttest result obtained tcount= 8,793>ttable=2.02 and Asymp Sig value of 0,0000<a(0,05) with coefficient of determination. Abstract

Some students have not shown the ability to regulate themselves (self regulated learning) about how to learn. This is part of the impact of conventional learning. Blended learning is a learning model that is widely developed in college. This model provides opportunities for students to learn actively by self-regulation, self-control, self-motivation, and develop self-confidence, and choose or manage their own learning environment to support the effectiveness of learning. This study is based on literature review. Based on some empirical studies, it is concluded that the application of this model can improve self regulated learning learners. Keywords: blended learning, self regulated learning, conventional learning

Abstract

Orientation mathematics are mathematical reasoning abilities. Reasoning is a process or activity is thought to draw the right conclusions based on some of the statements that have been proven or assumed to be true. Students require reasoning ability in solving mathematical problems that involve critical thinking, systematic, logical, and creative. Through the mathematical reasoning students can apply for the alleged then compile evidence, manipulation, and draw conclusions correctly and precisely of the problem or a math problem. Mathematical reasoning skills students are low is one of the fundamental problems in mathematics today. The low student learning outcomes are influenced by many factors, one of which is the use of teaching methods that are less effective and efficient cause unbalance cognitive abilities, affective, and psychomotor student. Learning methods commonly used by mathematics teachers are conventional teaching methods that rely on lectures and main tools blackboard so that students tend to be passive and less involved in the classroom. Conventional teaching methods do not provide the opportunity for students to think and can hamper students' mathematical reasoning abilities. One of the techniques taught are considered accommodative can attract students and increase the activity of thinking students are learning techniques probing prompting. Which is a technique of learning by the teacher presents a series of questions that are guiding and dug so that a process of thinking that links students' knowledge and experience with new knowledge that is being studied.

Abstract

This is a qualitative-descriptive research. The aims of this study is to describe the level of students creative thinking in geometry problem solving tasks. The subject in this research is a student in the average-level of logical-mathematical intelligence. The subject is on the 7th grade of MTs Al-Hikmah Janti Jombang. The research instrument is logical-mathematical intelligence test, creative thinking test, and interview sheet. The result of this study for fluency critera is student can make two shapes in different size. The result for flexibility criteria is student only use one way to determine the area of a shape, it is by using a formula for counting the area. The result for novelty criteria is student can not make some shapes which are different. All that result shows that student only fulfill one of creative thinking criteria, that is fluency critera. But student can not fulfill the other two criterias of of creative thinking they are flexibility and novelty. Therefore student’s level of creative thinking is on level 1 (almost not creative).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the difficulties of students of Physical Education, Faculty of Teacher Treaning and Education, The University of Nusa Cendana, in understanding the material volume of rotary an area. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subject of the study was taken from students of the Physics Education second semester, Faculty of Teacher Treaning and Education, The University of Nusa Cendana, as many as 42 people. Data was obtained through tests and documentation of student work results. The results revealed that there were 3 types of difficulties experienced by physics education students of the University of Nusa Cendana, namely (1) difficulty understanding the concept, such as the difficulty in applying the method used correctly, difficult to determine the upper limit and lower limit of certain integrals that were appropriate to the problem and difficult to determine the right function to be countered. (2) difficulty in calculating accuracy, such as not being careful in calculating multiplying positive numbers with negative numbers and squaring a function. (3) difficulty in image representation. Abstract

Salt as one of Indonesia's commodities is very dependent on the length of the dry season. The longer the dry season, the greater the process of evaporation of sea water pumped into the salting area. Rainfall is an indicator that is closely related to the dry season pattern in Indonesia. For this reason, it is necessary to have an early warning system to avoid crop failure in salt farmers. The research variables are rainfall, wind speed, and air temperature in Sumenep, Indonesia. Rainfall variables are determined as output variables (variables to be predicted), while wind speed and air temperature are input variables. In this study, the PCC-based ARIMA-ANFIS hybrid method was used to predict long-term monthly rainfall and examine the consistency of the resulting forecast so that it can be used to compile a yearly salt production calendar. The accuracy of the model in the prediction is measured based on the RMSE criteria. The result of this research is ARIMA model give the best accuracy than the recommended method.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran discovery learning adalah model pembelajaran yang mengembangkan cara belajar aktif di mana siswa menemukan dan menyelidiki sendiri materi yang akan dipelajari, sehingga materi yang diperoleh dapat tertanam dan tahan lama dalam ingatan.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan model pembelajaran discovery learning lebih baik daripada dengan model pembelajaran langsung pada pokok bahasan lingkaran di kelas VIII SMP Kawung 2 Surabaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Kawung 2 Surabaya. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik simple group random sampling. KelasVIIIB terpilih sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIC terpilih sebagai kelas kontrol .Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar. Hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran discovery Learning lebih baik daripada dengan model pembelajaran langsung pokok bahasan lingkaran di SMP Kawung 2 Surabaya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the cooperative learning model of type group investigation (GI) in improving the ability of critical thinking mathematically. Research using qualitative approach to this type of classroom action research. The subject of research is the grade XI Accounting 1SMK Dr. Sutomo Surabaya totaled 41 students. Results of the study concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model of type group investigation (GI) proved to be able to improve the ability of critical thinking mathematically from very low to high category in two cycles. Based on the findings of the research are expected to mathematics teacher SMK Dr. Sutomo Surabaya make cooperative learning model type group investigation (GI) as an alternative to improve the ability of critical thinking mathematically students.
