The Biblio Couns Journal is a scientific journal in the field of Counseling and Education studies. The journal is published in three editions published a year, namely march, july, august. Biblio Couns is published by the Guidance and Counseling Study Program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra, and in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Guidance and Counseling Associations (ABKIN) with E-ISSN: 2620-3103. The purpose of the journal is to publish articles dedicated to all aspects of the latest outstanding developments in the field of counseling and education in all settings. The scope of the journal includes applications of school counseling, mental health, assessment, supervision in counseling, sexual harassment, violence supplementary counseling, multi-cultural counseling, crisis intervention, trauma counseling, ITC in counseling, career counseling, spiritual counseling, marriage and family counseling, counseling and psychotherapy, counseling in all backgrounds; Education (teaching, development, instruction, educational projects and innovations, learning methodologies and new technologies in education and learning, assessment). It was first published in 2018.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effort to improve students' emotional intelligence by applying the development of emotional intelligence based on development counseling models. This research uses quantitative methods. The population in this study was state high school students (SMAN) in Padang City, involving as many as 300 high school students as a sample. The instrument used was the Emotion Intelligence Scale inventory. The effectiveness test of the development of emotional intelligence based on development counseling is done through ANCOVA. The results showed that the development model of emotional intelligence based on effective development counseling.

Abstract

The technological advances that lead to the waning of eastern culture and the disintegration of the norms of politeness in every way, thus exert a bad influence on society, especially students, because adolescence is a transitional period of adolescent children making their emotions volatile or unstable. This is why teenagers are easily influenced in everything, so their ethics of communicating has faded. This research is to know the benefit of group guidance in improving student communication ethics, this research is categorized into pre experimental research (Pre-Experiment Design), with experimental design used in this research is The One Group Pratest Posttest. This study involves two types of variables. The free variables are Group Guidance, the dependent variable is the Ethics of Communicating. The instruments used in this study were the questionnaire of communication ethics as well as group guidance services and were analyzed using descriptive statistics.

Abstract

This research is motivated by klepto student phenomenon. The purpose of this study is to see the role of teacher Guidance and Counseling in overcoming the students who have impaired klepto in SMA Gajah Mada Medan. The research used descriptive qualitative approach. Sampling technique in this research is Purposive Sampling. Based on the results of the study, it can be described that: The role of individual counseling services in SMA Gajah Mada Medan in klepto students run well and students have started to open to their problems, Students begin to understand the importance of counseling guidance in schools and start to feel the benefits of counseling guidance in school , With the implementation of individual counseling services students are expected to be more open to the problems. And kleptomania problems that occur in schools can be resolved well, and students who klepto can realize though not spontaneously.

Abstract

The variety of stressors in lectures online for a pandemic COVID-19 as an internet connection is not tasty, complete the task that much in a short time, to respond to instructions quickly, as well as the need to adapt rapidly to the situation of learning from home is a condition that can cause stress on students. Ideally, the learning process carried out remotely can enhance the learning process. This change will certainly not be easy for students, including students. This study aims to determine the level of academic stress on students. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The sample of this research is 300 students. Data were analyzed using descriptive formulas. Data collection is done using a Likert type scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Based on data analysis, the results show that, on average, students experience stress in the medium category.

Abstract

Adolescent`s attitude will affect the way they behave. Adolescent`s attitude toward free sex is the degree to which the adolescent accept or refuse the various forms of sexual behavior carried out by a couple who are not bound in the bonds of marriage. Authoritative parenting and self-control is a factor that are factors that may have influenced the adolescent`s attitude towards free sex. This study aimed to describe: (1) the level of applied authoritative parenting, (2) the level of adolescent`s self-control, and (3) the level of adolescent`s attitude towards free sex. This study used quantitative approach by using descriptive method. The population of this research were 303 students at SMAN 1 Stabat growing with authoritative parenting. By using proportional stratified random sampling technique, 172 students were chosen as the samples. The instrument of the research was a scale. The purpose of the research was analyzed by using hypothetic mean. The results of the research revealed that: (1) the authoritative parenting applied by parents was in fairly adequate category, (2) the adolescent`s self-control was in adequate category, (3) the adolescent`s attitude towards free sex was in reasonably refused category.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji efektivitas layanan penguasaan konten menggunakan metode mind mapping dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan (eksperimen), selanjutnya melihat perbedaan minat baca siswa kelompok kontrol sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan layanan penguasaan konten. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimen, menggunakan the one group pretest posttest design. Pemilihan subjek menggunakan metode  purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 6 Takengon. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik non-parametrik yang menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan minat baca siswa kelompok eksperimen yang diberikan layanan penguasaan konten menggunakan mind mapping dengan kelompok kontrol yang diberikan layanan penguasaan konten biasa (tanpa media).  Hal yang terlihat selama proses pengamatan yang dilakukan ketika siswa mengikuti layanan penguasaan konten, siswa antusias dan mulai termotivasi untuk mengembangkan sikap dan kebiasaan belajar yang baik, dengan demikian minat baca siswa terbentuk setelah Guru BK/Konselor memberikan perlakuan layanan penguasaan konten menggunakan mind mapping, siswa mulai memiliki ketertarikan dan fokus untuk mengembangkan minat baca kemudian menyusunnya menjadi konsep yang tersusun dalam mind mapping yang menarik bagi siswa itu sendiri dan keterampilan yang didapatkan tersebut cocok untuk menunjang pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research was influented by student learning motivation which is still in low level. Acceptance by peer were external and internal factors that affect students learning motivation. This research aims to describe: (1) students’ peer acceptance, (2) students’ learning motivation, (3) influention of peer acceptance toward students’ learning motivation. This research using descriptive quantitative approach. The population were the students of grade VII and XI which numbered 442 students, samples were 179 students, which was selected by the technique of proportional random sampling. Data were analysis using descriptive statistics and simple regression. The results of this research: (1) students’ peer acceptance was on the high category, (2) students’ learning motivation was on the high category, (3) there is a influention of peer acceptance to the students’ learning motivation to 29%.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that examines the use of e-learning in accounting students in the morning 8A accounting study program in the distance learning conditions due to the impact of the co-19 pandemic. Data collection uses data reduction steps, data display and conclusion making using interview techniques through telephone connections and deepening through WhatsApp chat. The results obtained are the level of respondents' understanding of the use of e-learning as a distance learning media as a whole at a rate of 70%, the level of willingness to continue the use of e-learning as a whole is at 25% while the level of need for the presence of lecturers in real is as much as 100%

Abstract

His study aims to determine the effect of the self efficacy with employee performance at PDAM Tirtanadi.This study uses quantitative method with the number of samples as many as 40 people with try out system used, meaning that data have been taken in the test scale, re used as data for hypothesis testing. This research uses simple regression analysis method. Based on the data analysis obtained the results 1) There is a significant influence between self-efficacy on employee performance. It is shown by coefficient Freg = 97,611 where p <0,050. Indicates that the higher the self efficacy will be the better employee performance, and the lower the self-efficacy will be the worse employee performance. 2) There is a positive influence between self-efficacy on employee performance at PDAM Tirtanadi Sunggal Branch employee with 72% contribution. From these results it is known that there is still 28% influence from other factors on employee performance. 3) Another result is obtained from this research, which is known that the subject of this research the employees of Tirtanadi PDAM Sunggal Branch, has a very high self-efficacy with employee performance obtained is also quite high. This is known by looking at the empirical mean / self efficacy mean value (175.08) and the hypothetical average value (105). Furthermore, for employee performance it is known that the mean mean / empirical mean (85,88) and the hypothetical mean is (8).

Abstract

Research studies on the low motivation of achievement of students towards the high degree of academic procrastination in the course of lectures. The research aims to get a motivational depiction of student study and counseling studies Program and get an overview of student academic procrastination. This research sample is a tutoring and counseling student amounting to 75 people using a random aiming technique. The instrument used is the motivation scale of achievement and academic procrastination. Furthermore, the prerequisite tests include test normality and linierity testing, as well as simple regression analyses. Based on the analysis results obtained an R value of -0.252 which shows the regression coefficient between achievement motivation and students' procrastination with an R-Square value of -0.063. This shows that achievement motivation is negatively related to academic procrastination of 6%. In line with the research results that high achievement motivation can decrease students academicprocrastination in lecturing
