The Biblio Couns Journal is a scientific journal in the field of Counseling and Education studies. The journal is published in three editions published a year, namely march, july, august. Biblio Couns is published by the Guidance and Counseling Study Program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra, and in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Guidance and Counseling Associations (ABKIN) with E-ISSN: 2620-3103. The purpose of the journal is to publish articles dedicated to all aspects of the latest outstanding developments in the field of counseling and education in all settings. The scope of the journal includes applications of school counseling, mental health, assessment, supervision in counseling, sexual harassment, violence supplementary counseling, multi-cultural counseling, crisis intervention, trauma counseling, ITC in counseling, career counseling, spiritual counseling, marriage and family counseling, counseling and psychotherapy, counseling in all backgrounds; Education (teaching, development, instruction, educational projects and innovations, learning methodologies and new technologies in education and learning, assessment). It was first published in 2018.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between moral reasoning and school climate with bullying behavior in class XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo. The study population was all students of class XI and the sample amounted to 207 students who were divided into each class in all class XI. The measuring instrument uses a psychological scale of moral reasoning, a psychological scale of school climate and a psychological scale of bullying behavior. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between moral reasoning and school climate with bullying behavior among students of SMK Negeri 1 Ponorogo (p = 0.015) (R = 0.537) (F = 0.288). So that overall it can be concluded that the lower the moral reasoning, the higher the student's bullying behavior, the higher the school climate, the lower the student's bullying behavior, and the higher the moral reasoning and the school climate, the lower the student's bullying behavior.

Abstract

This study to discuss overcoming factors inhibit reading interest students through concept self awareness. Data collection techniques by interviews. Data analysis techniques by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Reading must do especially for students. However, reading interest several students posgraduate PAI UIN Sunan Kalijaga is still low, because there are several factors that hinder their reading interest, namely: 1) low motivation to read; 2) amount of entertainment in this era makes students more to spend time playing handphone, games and watching TV; 3) sometimes difficult to concentrate. The solution with concept self awareness, namely: 1) we must realize to be able to change from problems; 2) make decisions, for example problem low motivation to read by starting to read from the reading we like, problem the amount of entertainment in this era makes students more to spend time playing cellphone, games and watching TV by we have to prepare a special time to read, problem sometimes difficult to concentrate by we can read in a time / place that is quiet / / comfortable so can concentrate fully without distraction; 3) learn to realize the decision; 4) do it little by little; 5) continuous practice; 6) consistent.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the differences stress between early and final year students in academics, This study used a quantitative approach with a comparative descriptive method, and the study population was students of Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculcity of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Prof.Dr.Hamka. The sampling technique used was proportional stratified random sampling. The sample obtained was 192 students, consisting of 98 early year students and 94 final year students. The academic stress instrument adopted from Sagita et., all (2017) consist of 34 items using a likert scale. The data findings were analysed using the independent sample t-test calculation. The result show that: (1) the academic stress of early year students is in the low category, (2) the academic stress between early year students and final years students.

Abstract

Education cannot be separated from human life, because education is a process of someone entering a culture and making that person behave and follow that culture. Human behavior, consciously or unconsciously, is a formation of the existing culture in the surrounding environment. The scope of the cultural scope is very broad covering all aspects of human life, so education is also one of these aspects. Education cannot be separated from culture, because education is a part of culture which is an effort to provide basic knowledge as a provision for life, basic knowledge for life provisions which is meant here is culture. Therefore, the relationship between education and culture is very close to one another, in the context of the world of education a student is educated to become an individual who is cultured according to the norms and values that exist in that culture

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of situational leadership style on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar, (1) to determine the effect of education and training on teacher performance, (2) to determine the effect of work motivation on teacher performance, (3) to determine the effect of leadership situational, (4) education and training, work motivation on teacher performance. The sample of this study amounted to 64 respondents, namely all teachers at SMP Negeri 4 Pematangsiantar. This research uses a questionnaire distribution and the type of research with a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires. The analytical technique used is multiple linear regression analysis and using hypothesis testing; F-test, t-test and coefficient of determination (R2). The results of this multiple linear regression research show that the results of multiple linear regression obtain the equation: Y = 2.250 + 0.632X1 + 0.388X2 + 0.475X3. The results of hypothesis testing, Ha accepted and rejected H0. The results of the t-test of situational leadership style affect teacher performance, education and training affect teacher performance and work motivation affects teacher performance X1. Meanwhile, the results of the F-test, situational leadership style, education and training and work motivation simultaneously affect teacher performance. The result of the coefficient of determination (R2) states that X1, X2, and X3 contribute 46.8% to teacher performance while the remaining 53.2% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of career guidance services in high school using the Stufflebeam evaluation model, namely Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP). This evaluative study used a qualitative descriptive method with data sources, namely the principal, deputy principal, coordinator counselor, counselor,,,class teacher, subject teachers, and students. Data collection in this evaluation monitoring consisted of: (1) open and in-depth interviews; (2) direct observation / observation; and (2) written documents. Data collection was carried out in September - December 2020. The results showed that the evaluation of the Context, Input, Process, Product components in the implementation of career guidance services in SMA was in accordance with the indicators given. Evaluation results are also very important because they can be used to make analysis and follow up in maximizing the career guidance service program. In addition, guidance and counseling teachers can also be accountable for their duties to interested parties such as school principals, supervisors, parents, and other stakeholders. From the results of this study It is hoped that it can provide input and suggestions for BK teachers to continue to carry out evaluations on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

Minangkabau has many cultural values that can be used as a source of life, especially social life. Manggantang asok maukia langiak is a form of expression of proverb valuesthat is used as a way of life for the Minangkabau community. Examining the value of this proverb is one of the aims of researchers to examine the value contained and its implications in counseling. This research is limited to the value of the adage of manggantang asok maukia langik as a value that explains the nature of a problem. This research uses hermeneutic qualitative method. The results of this study explain that 1) the value contained in the saying Manggantang asok maukia langiak is something that is irrational, and 2) every problem has a cause. Manggantang asok maukia langiak is a value that is believed by the Minangkabau community as a form of behavior beyond ability, an impossible and futile act to do and an act that has never been done, so this is concluded as a form of irrational thinking. This view describes irrational thoughts about a behavior or action that causes problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between spiritual intelligence and student empathy. Spiritual intelligence is a person's ability to assess, face and solve life problems and be able to behave in accordance with religious norms. Meanwhile, empathy is the ability to understand and feel the feelings of others. The research method used is a correlational method. The population in this study is a student of The Department of Guidance and Counseling Faculty of Education, Gorontalo State University which amounted to 336 people. The study sampled 168 students. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive and significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and empathy of students of the Department of Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Education, State University of Gorontalo.

Abstract

An Analysis of Depression Levels in Undergraduate Students during the Covid-19 Pandemic. At this time there are not a few events cause psychological reactions that trigger emotional stress such as anxiety, worried, decreased interest in social activities, withdrawal from the environment and personal. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of depression in undergraduate students and this study used quantitative research with a descriptive analytics approach. The sample in this study amounted to 112 undergraduate students at Jambi University. The research instrument used the Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI-II) questionnaire that has been adapted by Dina, the data collected used univariate analysis with frequency distribution. The results of the study, 26.8% of students experienced mild depression, 20.5% had moderate depression and 7.1% severe depression. This case indicated that during the covid-19 pandemic undergraduate students who are completing the final task (thesis) experienced mild depression.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' academic self-concept and reading interest as well as the contribution of academic self-concept to students' reading interest in Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program IAIN Langsa. The method used is correlational method and simple regression. The study population was Islamic Guidance and Counseling students in semesters 1, 3, and 5, totaling 192 students who were active in the 2020 school year. The sampling technique used the proportional stratified random sampling technique. The number of samples is 130 respondents. The instrument used to collect data is a Likert scale model. The results of the study describe students' academic self-concepts in the positive category of 85%, quite positive at 28.5%, and very positive at 39%. Students' reading interest in the medium category is 45%, high is 45%, very high is 7%, and low is 7%. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient of academic self-concept on students' reading interest is 23%. This research can be concluded that academic self-concept contributes significantly to students' reading interest.
