Abstract

The purpose of the study in general is to determine the factors that affect the growth of broiler business in the eastern zone of Jambi Province. These factors are focused on internal factors, namely the internal factors of individuals and internal factors of business. The objectives of the research are 1) to identify the internal factors of the individual that influence the growth of the business 2) to identify the internal factors of the individual business affecting the growth of the business and 3) to analyze the influence of internal factors of internal factors and internal factors on business growth. The research was conducted by survey method. Analysis and Data Processing using Stuctural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Smart Patial Least Square (Smart-PLS 2.0). The results showed that innovation, risk taking, and production power are internal factors of individual and internal business that affect business growth. Both factors are known to be significant and positively affect business growth. This study also found that business growth is influenced by internal factors of individual and internal business indirectly, that is through a series of entrepreneurial activities undertaken by farmers. Both have a positive relationship, meaning that the diversity of the growth of broiler farming business in Jambi Province occurs because of the encouragement of entrepreneurship activities of farmers, driven by internal factors of individuals and internal factors of business.

Abstract

This research was purposed to find out the income, influence of production factors such as venture capital, materials, and workers with income of emping melinjo’s household scale, to know appropriateness level of emping melinjo’s household scale business. The result showed that average income of emping melinjo business was Rp.613.968,75 / month. The statistical test of R-square value of 0.98% simultaneously, there was a close relationship between venture capital,  materials and workers with income of emping melinjo’s household scale 98% the rest was  influenced by other factors that were not studied, it was supported by the value of f-count 304,285> f-table 2.95 at 95% confidence level. The calculation of R / C Ratio obtained value of 1.97, this value meant that the business emping malinjo household scale was feasible to cultivateKeywords: Income, Household Scale, Emping Melinjo

Abstract

Economic development is an absolute process undertaken by a nation in improving the lives and welfare of the entire nation. Economic development that refers to the leading sectors will have an impact on the acceleration of economic growth. This research is done to determine the strategy and policy direction suitable to build the leading sector of langkat regency in order to increase economic growth of langkat regency.in the previous research it was found that the leading sector of langkat regency was agriculture forestry and fishery sector. Abstract

This research was conducted at Pabrik Gula Kwala Madu PT. Perkebunan Nusantara II in Desa Kwala Begumit, Kecamatan Stabat, Kabupaten Langkat. The purpose of this research is to know the development of production and productivity of cane and sugar, to know the added value from cane processing to sugar. The research method used is survey method, with the sample of this research is staff processing section and staff section of production, sample determination is done by purposive sampling. The first used analysis method is trend analysis to know the development of cane and sugar production, the second using hayami method for value-added analysis. The results of this study show that the development of caneand sugar  production and productivity at Pabrik Gula Kwala Madu PTPN II from 2007-2017 always fluctuated. The increase and decrease of production is not fixed every year. The result of value added analysis of sugarcane by using hayami method showed that the added value of cane to sugar obtained is positive because the value added ratio> 0% is equal to 75%.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to find out  the effect of  land area, seeds, fertilizer, pesticide and workers on the production of onions, to know the elasticity of production factor of onions cultivation and  appropriateness of onions cultivation. The result of this research can be concluded that simultaneously (serempak) onions production were influenced by wide of  land area, seeds, fertilizer, pesticide and workers by 96%. The statistical test results obtained by the value of Multiple R of 0.98,  it meant there was a close relationship between land area, seeds, fertilizer, pesticide and workers of onions production by 98%. Partially, the variable of land area, seeds and pesticides have significant effect on onions production with 95% confidence level, while the variable of fertilizer and workers did not have effect significantly of onions production at 95% confidence level, appropriateness of onions cultivation based on R / C and B / C Ratio was feasible to cultivate.Keywords: Production Factor, Elasticity, Appropriateness

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of agricultural extension field in the development of the coffee crop farmer groups and to examine how the development of farmer groups who do agricultural extension to farmers' groups coffee plants. using saturated sample method is by taking the entire population to sampled with a total of 27 respondents. The analytical method used is using the scoring system and descriptive. The results showed that the role of agricultural extension in the development of farmer groups categorized coffee plants already Enough role in carrying out its duties as a teacher, adviser, Analyser and the Organizer. Where the category and the results overall score educator role of farmer groups in the development of the coffee crop farmer group is 1107. The results regarding the development of farmer groups who do agricultural extension to farmers' groups in the village coffee plants belonging Pretty Good Jongok Kingdom where 26 farmers, or 96.3% category Good enough to accept innovation and capability in carrying out activities in the given extension, only 1 or 3.7% of respondents were classified as Less Good was also due to less active in farmer groups.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: First, the magnitude Contributions side: oil on household income in the study area. Second, potential side: palm handicraft business in the area of research. Third, constraints - constraints in the development of craft business side: the palm area of research. Fourth, the business development strategy craft palm side: in the study area. Sampling method using census method that takes all the existing sample research area. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis.The research result is that the contribution of the craft business side: oil on household income in the village Rabuhit is Rp 44.22825 million ie 56% of total household income. Business development strategies craft side: the oil can be seen from the potential and constraints - constraints faced by producers are expanding the marketing network, the expansion of handicraft business side: oil, providing added value / a touch of creativity that makes the motive side: oil more attractive, maintain good relations with the consumer side: oil and using existing knowledge about the area plantation palm frond waste generators to maintain the availability of the raw materials for  the production of handicraft of palm.Keywords : Potential, Contributions, Profits

Abstract

More and more attributes of consumer preference in meeting the needs of vegetables, resulting in the involvement of consumers in selecting products vegetables are increasingly taken into account. the retail entrepreneur should seek constantly to meet the satisfaction of consumers in order to arise consumer loyalty. This research aims to analyze the sejauhmana relationship satisfaction with loyalty of consumers in buying organic vegetables, and how differences of attitude and consumer interest in buying organic vegetable in Carrefour plaza Medan fair, and Supermarket Brastagi, Medan. The data used in this research is the primary data (directly from consumers who buy organic vegetable) and secondary data (Data from  institutions that support this research). Methods of analysis used Multiple Linear Regression is by using the software SPSS 17.The results of the analysis show that with the above comparison is obtained, then significantly = 0 means there is no relationship between consumer satisfaction in purchasing with consumer loyalty research at both locations. The second means that shopping has the distinction of the average consumer's attitudes towards attributes Carrefour, in Plaza Medan Fair with Supermarket Brastagi Medan. On both of these shopping areas are statistically Independent test-with Sample T Test there is a difference in the average consumer's attitudes towards attributes in buying fruits in Carrefour, Plaza Medan Fair with Supermarket Brastagi Medan. Abstract

Organic vegetables as one of the products produced from agriculture is environmentally friendly and more closer to the concept of nature, so as to provide better quality assurance compared with ordinary vegetables. This raises its own appeal to certain class consumers who then change their vegetable consumption patterns from inorganically cultivated vegetables to organic vegetables, so that the attractiveness and popularity of inorganically cultivated vegetables is reduced for certain class consumers. Therefore it is necessary to examine the factors - factors that affect the purchase of organic vegetables, especially in the city of Medan. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of price ratio between organic and non organic vegetables, advertisement, packaging, family income, education level of respondent, composition of respondent's family member, respondent's age to the purchase of organic vegetables in Medan city. The data used in this study are primary data (directly from consumers who buy organic vegetables) and secondary data (Data from agencies that support this research). The analytical method used is with Multiple Linear Regression using SPSS 17 software.The result of the analysis shows that there are 4 variables which have significant influence, that is the variable ratio of organic vegetable price with non organic, family income, and age of respondent, advertisement, and there are 3 variables which have no significant effect, that is packaging, respondent education level, family member composition.Keyword : Organic Vegetable, price ratio, income, age, advertising
