Abstract

This study aims to find out how the development of learning media 3D cartoon. The method used Research and Development method (research and development), but more focused on development process using ADDIE method. Stages of development in this research begin by analyzing the needs, designing, creating 3D learning media cartoon after it is applied and then tested the experts. The results showed that the media developed has met the eligible and eligible to be used as a medium of learning 3D cartoon subject matter numbers. This is seen from the results of content validation, and the effectiveness of product by material experts of 94% expressed very well. For languages and communications are easily understood to get 91% percentage, media aspect of 83%, appearance, quality and effectiveness of media by design learning experts of 93% expressed very well. So it can be concluded that 3D learning media cartoon is feasibly used in learning.

Abstract

This study presents a research report on improving students’ Knowledge on learning Aljabar through Cross Age Tutoring. The objective was to find out whether students’ knowledge improved taught by Cross Age Tutoring. It was conducted using classroom action research method. The subject of the study was the Grade VIII students of State Junior High School 175, Jakarta. One class from eight parallel classes was taken as the subject of this research namely the grade VIII.3. The numbers of the students were 36. They were taught Aljabar using Cross Age Tutoring technique. The instruments used were test. In analyzing the data, the mean of the students’ score for the pre-test was 4.1, for progressing- test1 was 4.7, for progressing-test2 (Post Test for first Cycle) was 5,6, for progressing-test3 was 6,6 and the post-test (Second Cycle) was 7,2 and the total percentage of the improvement from the pre-test to post-test was 75,6%. The conclusion is that the Cross Age Tutoring can improve the students’ knowledge on learning algebra. It is suggested that teachers should apply Cross Age Tutoring technique as one of the strategies to improve students’ knowledge on learning algebra.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find and analyze empirically the influence of student and teacher interaction and interest in learning toward math learning outcomes. The population in this study is the affordable class VII student DPN 86 South Jakarta. 70 samples are obtained through random sampling method. The research design used through correlation with three variables consisting of two independent variables, namely the interaction of students and teachers and the interest in learning as well as the dependent variable, namely the learning outcomes matemtika. Data was collected through questionnaire techniques (variable student and teacher interaction and interest in learning) and test techniques (variable learning outcomes). The collected data were then analyzed using correlation and multiple regression techniques. Before the data were analyzed, first performed descriptive statistical analysis and test data requirements (normality test, linearity, and multicollinearity test). The results showed that: there is a significant relationship between student and teacher interaction and interest in learning the mathematics learning outcomes, with a correlation coefficient of 0.877 and a coefficient of determination 0.768 or 76.8% of students and teacher interaction and interest in learning jointly affect learning outcomes mathematics. The resulting regression equation Y = - 41.565 + 0.659 X1 + 0.371 X2. This may imply that the better interaction of students and teachers the better the learning outcomes and the higher the higher the interest in learning math learning outcomes.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the effects of learning model and performance assessment model on mathematics problem solving (subject of calculus). An experimental research was conducted at Biology education-UNINDRA.They were selected through multistage random sampling technique. Problem solving test has been employed to collect data which was analyzed by means of two way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Research findings concluded that (1) students who learn under the cooperative learning model show higher then classical learning model in mathematics problem solving (subject of calculus), (2) students receiving Lane Holistic’s performance assessment show higher then Polya’s performance assessment on mathematics problem solving (subject of calculus), (3) there are interaction between learning model, performance assessment model, and mathematics problem solving, (4) in the cooperative learning models group, students receiving Lane Holistic’s performance assessment show lower then Polya’s performance assessment on mathematics problem solving (subject of calculus), (5) in the classical learning models group, students receiving Lane Holistic’s performance assessment show higher then Polya’s performance assessment on mathematics problem solving (subject of calculus), (6) students who are taught mathematics with Lane Holistic’s performance assessment, students who learn under the cooperative learning model show lower then classical learning model in mathematics problem solving (subject of calculus),and (7) students who are taught mathematics with Polya’s performance assessment, students who learn under the cooperative learning model show higher then classical learning model in mathematics problem solving (subject of calculus).

Abstract

. The purpose of the study was to analyze whether there is influence confidence and activity of students in the class of the mathematics achievement class VIII SMP Negeri 208 Jakarta. The research method in this study is a survey method through correlation techniques. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP 208. Sampling techniques using random sampling techniques,. The amount of a sample group of 40 students. Confidence data collection instruments, and active participation by students in class with each of 30 questionnaires and data collection Mathematics Learning Achievement through documents UAS value. Then test data requirements that normality test with chi-square test, which marks the third data Xh <Xt, namely Confidence (5.65 <7.815), active participation by students in Grades (1.42 <7.815), mathematics Learning Achievement (0, 39 <7.815), then three normal distribution. The next test of linearity regression with ? = 0.05. Mathematics Learning Achievement on Self Confidence Fh <Ft (1.015 <2.35), then H0 is accepted concluded subsequent linear regression model patterned Mathematics Learning Achievement of the activeness of students in Grades Fh <Ft (0.4753 <2.13) H0 accepted, patterned linear regression model. Hypothesis testing technique used is the technique of double correlation. Double correlation test with ? = 0.05, then to DK1 = 2 and obtained Ftabel dk2 = 37 = 3.25. Because Fh> Ft (6.87 <3.25) is high, we conclude that together a significant difference between Confidence and active participation by students in Grades towards mathematics achievement Keywords: Confidence, liveliness Students in Classroom, Learning Achievement in Mathematics.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the effect of interest and study habits of students towards mathematics learning achievement. The method used is the method of correlation analysis surveys in SMK PGRI 16 Cipayung, Jakarta Timur. Study sample as many as 30 students were drawn from a population with a sampling technique in accordance with proportion. Analysis of data using correlation and regression techniques. The results showed: 1.There positively influence students' interests and learning habits simultaneously learning achievement mathematics, 2. no influence students' interest in learning mathematics learning achievement, 3. no influence students' study habits mathematics learning achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Discipline of Students Against Learning Achievement in Mathematics. The research was conducted in SMP Negeri 223 Jakarta at Jalan Gedong Village Surilang Pasar Rebo Sub-district on June 5, 2012. The method used is a survey method using questionnaire instrument 30 items statements consisting of positive and negative weights. The number of samples taken in this study is numbered 59 respondents from Inroads 235 students, who were taken using simple random sampling technique. Test data analysis requirements are normality test using chi-square test and linearity test using the F test (Fisher), and the results were the normal distribution of data while meeting the linearity test data is linear/significant. Hypothesis test used is a validity test by using product moment and reliability test data using Cronbach Alpha, so the results are utilizable/valid and reliable/feasible to use, valid data of 25 items and invalid data totaling 5. significant regression test that is stated Ho hypothesis is rejected and it can be concluded there is a significant relationship between the discipline of students towards mathematics achievement. From the research that has been done can be concluded that student discipline positive effect on mathematics achievement. Keywords: Student Discipline, Learning Achievement in Mathematics

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of constructive learning model based on the results of guided discovery learning mathematics. The research was conducted in SDIT Attaqwa Bekasi, West Java. Affordable population in this study were students in grade 3 SDIT Attaqwa Bekasi, West Java, the school year 2012/2013 as many as 179 students were divided into 5 classes. While the study sample was drawn 40 students consisting of 20 grade 3-2 students as a class experiment (constructive learning model guided discovery-based) and 20 grade 3-5 students as a control class (NHT models). The research method used is a quasi eksperime with different test analysis of the average or the t-test. Testing requirements of data analysis consisted of tests of normality and homogeneity tests. Hypothesis testing with different test or the average of the t-test, based on the test results it is concluded that there are significant constructive learning model based on the results of guided discovery learning mathematics. Then based on the conclusion of the study, it is suggested that mathematics teachers at the elementary school level to implement the model of learning that can enhance students' ability to construct new knowledge, one with a constructive learning model based on guided discovery.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to design a measurement instrument independence character of middle school students. Research using research and development (R & D). Stages of the research process include: reviewing the concept, making the construct and design the instruments, experts’ assessment, the empirical pre-test, and empirical testing. Test experts were conducted by experts through quantitative and qualitative assessments were followed by improvements to the instrument. Pre empirical testing was done by trial and instruments in small-scale followed by repair and selection of items. Empirical testing is a field test on a large scale at middle school students who were followed by the selection of grains and calculation of reliability of the instrument. Research and development results obtained as follows. (1) Measurement code developed with the student independence four dimensions: freedom, initiative, progressive and resilient, and confident. The dimension of freedom comprising: able to make their own choices and able to perform his own activities. Dimension Initiative consists of: being able to think and act in an indigenous, and doing creative activities. The results of this study are expected secondary school teachers can have a reference or guidelines for measuring the character of student independence

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of emotional intelligence and thought kretaif to mathematics achievement, emotional intelligence to determine the relationship of mathematics achievement and determine the relationship of creative thinking to mathematics achievement. The method used in this study is a survey with multiple correlation analysis. Population in this research is class VIII SMP N 01 West Cikarang, West Java. The sample in this research is class VIII SMP N 01 West Cikarang, West Java are registered in the school year 2013/2014 as many as 60 students from 12 classes. The results show there is a relationship of intelligence emotional and thought kretaif to mathematics achievement, there is a relationship of emotional intelligence on mathematics achievement and creative thinking there is a relationship to mathematics achievement Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Creative Thinking and Learning Achievement in Mathematics
