Abstract

Pencatatan waktu balap drag race belum memenuhi standar baik dari segi alat maupun regulasi yang telah di tentukan. Telah di rancang suatu simulasi control timer drag race berbasis mikrokontroller ATmega8535. Dalam simulasi yang dilakukan, pengendara motor pada saat memulai balapan akan melindas limit switch. Limit switch tersebut akan menyalurkan tegangan sebesar 5V pada input microcontrollerApabila lampu kuning yang menyala, pengendara sudah jump start, maka micro tidak akan memproses perhitungan waktu drag race. Kondisi ini berlaku untuk ketiga lampu kuning. Selanjutnya karena terdeteksi sebagai jump start, lampu merah akan menyala sebagai indikasinya. Apabila lampu hijau yang menyala dan pengendara memulai untuk balapan, maka kondisi seperti ini adalah kondisi normal. Pada kondisi ini mikro akan melakukan perhitungan waktu drag race Selang waktu pergantian nyala lampu dibuat selama 0,5 detik untuk mendapatkan efisiensi waktu. Dengan indikator lampu yang leban lengkap dan penempatan sensor yang lebih sesuai untuk meminimalisir kecurangan.

Abstract

Gelombang laut adalah merupakan fenomena alam di mana terjadi penaikan dan penurunan air secara periodik, penaikan dan penurunan air ini salah satu aspek penting dalam transportasi dan pembangunan. Mengetahui data masa depan mengenai tinggi gelombang air laut dapat memberi manfaat besar dalam kelancaran transportasi dan pembangunan di wilayah perairan. Data masa depan dapat dihasilkan dengan melakukan prediksi dengan algoritma tertentu. Algoritma Levenberg Marquardt merupakan salah satu jenis algoritma pembelajaran jaringan syaraf tiruan yang dapat digunakan untuk prediksi data. Hasil analisis didapatkan arsitektur jaringan yang ideal adalah dengan 7 node input, 2 hidden layer yang terdiri dari 9 neuron dan 1 output layer dengan mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) adalah 0.175.

Abstract

Interface information still use the bulletin board to manual. Information should be printed in advance and attached to the bulletin board to be informed. This resulted in a the delay in the delivery of information because it is manual. In this study, will be designed based automated electronic information system Raspberry Pi. Information will be sent using the telecommunications network are displayed alternately in the form of a slideshow. The results show that the system created the device can display information using the Raspberry Pi. The information is displayed in the form of pictures and a slideshow format on the monitor remotely.

Abstract

Development of technology help human life in problem solving. Scheduling is a one of the problem which could be solved with it. In scheduling research, jobshop case is frequently used to test the scheduling problem solving algorithm. This study provide the comparison between direct encoding and indirect encoding approach. These approach are choices in jobshop secheduling problem research. The apparent differences of these approach are in used technique. Genetic algorithm is used as the testing algorithm. The Cases which will be used are the common cases from OR-Lib. The testing is done by looking the makespan, processing time, and objective value transformation. Testing result shows the direct encoding approach found more small makespan. Whereas indirect encoding approach can found optimal makespan in running with large number of generation.

Abstract

Planning the path is one of the most important things in the world of robotics, especially autonomous robots, to be able to move the autonomous robot requires a path that will guide the movement, or steps to be taken next, can also be spelled out as the determination of the point of coordinates to be addressed so that the robot can move to destination by taking the nearest lane and guiding the robot not to take unnecessary steps. This research uses adaptive A-star algorithm as the shortest path finding algorithm, the algorithm used is the development of A-star algorithm so that it can perform path search gradually and done repeatedly to determine every step that must be taken robot in the future and this algorithm belongs to a simple algorithm in a family heuristic algorithm. The test environment is built using Netlogo 5.3.1 Application, an agent-based application developed by Uri Wilensky at the center for Connected Learning and Compute-based Modeling at Northwestern University. The results of the tests have shown that the adaptive A-star algorithm can perform the optimal shortest path search and not trapped in the optimal local conditions with a standard deviation of 0.422%.

Abstract

Department of Electrical Engineering of Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji (FT UMRAH) has seen the importance of providing an understanding of Engineering Design Process (EDP) for engineering students through the learning process of Student Centered Experience Learning (ESCEL), the need to improve the creativity and innovation of students in all lectures and projects, therefore the electrical engineering majors have also started to develop the existing syllabus to be able to encourage the creation of science behind great product design and no less important as majors that have prioritized internationalization as prepare technopreunership course as a basic model that will be applied the experience learning, and in the future will be planned for the international credit transfer course at one of the universities in Europe.

Abstract

Observation cameras have been widely applied in various sectors of human life. Cameras are widely used for offices, schools, hospitals, and other public services. They are functioned as security, vehicle traffic monitor, and observation of a certain area. The use of the cameras as an observation is not only used on land but can also be used at sea and air. Areas which are dominated by oceans need to apply the right and effective surveillance cameras. Through this study, the cameras are designed for underwater observation. The cameras used are IP cameras which enable to be operated for surveillance systems up to dozens of meters below sea level. Underwater observation cameras also use an independent power supply through solar panels. Data delivery from cameras which are on the bottom of sea to users who are on land using a Wireless system in the form of a router located on sea surface. With addition of other supporting devices i.e. camera housing, and a computer/ a laptop, this research produces effective and efficient observation cameras. The purpose of this research is to design a camera system which can monitor images/videos under the sea remotely wirelessly by using computer/smart phone.

Abstract

Forecasting is an attempt to predict what happens in the future, while forecasting demand is an effort that is expected to be realized for a certain period in the future. Distributors difficult forecasting product demand needs of the estimated number of the retailer, the Distributor does not have given an overview of the extent of the need for the required product request is recorded. Therefore, the need for forecasting system that is capable of working on the need for the number of requests the retailer so that for information between the two in order to give the necessary information. The way to resolve problems that occur in this research is to predict demand for the retailers needs by using the method of Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) Holt by considering certain factors. The conclusion of this research that a demand forecasting using DES holt obtained from the accuracy in identifying data, where the data to be continuously experience the trend up or down. Results of the research by using DES Holt method on both retailers have a value different of α(alpha), γ (gamma) and the smallest value of MSE. At retailer 1 produces a value α (alpha) = 0.9, the γ(gamma) = 0.1, while the retailer 2 produces a value α (alpha) = 0.9, γ (gamma) = 0.2.

Abstract

This research is conducted to build a diagnose system malnutrition among children under five years old. The system was developed with Case Based Reasoning (CBR). CBR is a case based reasoning system, using old knowledge to solve new problems. CBR can provide new solutions to problems by looking at most similarity case to the previous cases that have been stored in the base case. CBR in this research using a bayesian model indexing to find the type of disease malnutrition among children under five years old, the process of indexing is done to speed up the retrieval process. The nearest neighbor methode used in the process to determine the most similar of cases between new cases and the old cases that have been stored in the database as a case base to be used tratment solution.Tests carried out by using 70 case based were recorded in case of data based and 20 case based serve as a new case. Testing is done with five threshold values. The first scenario is to use threshold ≥ 0.95 system able to produce accuracy 20%. The second scenario is to use threshold ≥ 0.90 system able to produce accuracy 45%. The third scenario is to use threshold ≥ 0.85 system able to produce accuracy 60%. The fourt scenario is to use threshold ≥ 0.80 system able to produce accuracy 75%. The fifth scenario is to use threshold ≥ 0.75 system able to produce accuracy 85%.

Abstract

Catamarans (double hull) as the river and sea transport modes that are rapidly being developed today and will likely continue to grow in the future, especially in Europe, America, and East Asia. One thing that makes popular catamaran and successfully applied in the mode of transportation because of the availability of a wide deck area, more comfortable level of stability and security. Catamarans tend to have lower water draf than the monohull vessel with the same displacement, so that it can be operated in shallow waters. Then the hull shape as a slender hull can reduce the incidence of wave wash than a single hull ship (monohull). An object moving through a fluid will experience the net force of the fluid in the body. For gastric symmetry, this force will occur in the free flow direction of a drag (D). If the stomach is not symmetrical, there will also be a normal force against the free flow of an elevator (L). Numerical modeling shows that fluid flow is laminar, critical, and turbulent. This is indicated by the direction of the vorticity field and the fluid type mass distribution, the greater the flow rate the flow properties will become increasingly random or turbulent.
